I went to my shrink and told him, "Doc last night I dreamed that I was a wigwam, then the other night I dreamed I was a TeePee. Whats wrong with me?" He said calm down, you're two tents.

Well said Jug. They started it, we finished it. No guilt here about using the bomb. Saved over a possible million US and Allie causalties.

Two Eskimos were hauling wood in kayak across the Bering Sea. Well it got too cold, so they started a fire in the middle of the kayak. Well of course it burned though and the boat sank. The moral of the story is..... you can't have your kayak and heat it too.

The downloads are back up about 90%. (there are 438 more files to sort etc) But we need help with the following: 1. Check your files you uploaded, modders I'm looking at you, if there is no screen shot PLEASE put one in there. I'm still looking at you modders. 2. Check your subscriptions. Erik said he extended everyone because of the downtime. If you see something wrong let us know. We will fix it. We gave everyone their time back plus 2 extra week as a way of saying thanks for your continued patience. 3. Finally of you see any files missing, lets us know so we can find them or the community can find then and we can get them back up. Erik used every bit of cash CombatAce had to fix it. He even poured his own money in it. So the coffers are empty. The funny thing about is that the biggest complainers about the download sections being down, were the ones who never put a dime into the site. Not a single penny. So shame on those people who complained but never helped out. So if your are feeling generous we would a appreciate the help. Erik has been doing this non stop for weeks, this is all he has done for hours and hours and hours, days an days and days, weeks and weeks and weeks all because the data center fucked up. Erik didn't fuck up, the company that handles billions of dollars in data, fucked up. If it wasn't for Erik the legacy of CombatAce and Strike Fighters in particular would be gone. And he did this all while still recovering form damn near dying on us last year. So I am standing on top of the hill and I need you all to form on me, and lets get Erik across the finish line on this.

The Junkers Ju-87 D.5/G.2 Stuka The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, "dive bomber") was a two-man (pilot and rear gunner) Geman dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, the Stuka first flew in 1935 and made its combat debut in 1936 as part of the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War. The aircraft was easily recognisable by its inverted gull wings, fixed spatted undercarriage and its infamous Jericho-Trompete ("Jericho Trumpet") wailing siren, becoming the propaganda symbol of German air power and the blitzkrieg victories of 1939–1942. The Stuka's design included several innovative features, including automatic pull-up dive brakes under both wings to ensure that the aircraft recovered from its attack dive even if the pilot blacked out from the high acceleration. Although sturdy, accurate, and very effective against ground targets, the Ju 87 was vulnerable to modern fighter aircraft, like many other dive bombers of the war. Its flaws became apparent during the Battle of Britain; poor manoeuvrability and a lack of both speed and defensive armament meant that the Stuka required heavy fighter escort to operate effectively. The Stuka operated with further success after the Battle of Britain, and its potency as a precision ground-attack aircraft became valuable to German forces in the Balkans Campaign, the African and Mediterranean theaters and the early stages of the Eastern Front campaigns where Soviet fighter resistance was disorganised and in short supply. Once the Luftwaffe had lost air superiority on all fronts, the Ju 87 once again became an easy target for enemy fighter aircraft. In spite of this, because there was no better replacement, the type continued to be produced until 1944. By the end of the conflict, the Stuka had been largely replaced by ground-attack versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, but was still in use until the last days of the war. An estimated 6,500 Ju 87s of all versions were built between 1936 and August 1944. (source Wikipedia with edits and additions) High Performance and Packed with Features! The Ju-87 model depicted in this package is a highly detailed replica of its real-life counterpart. The model was created by using many pictures, references and many countless hours of testing, revising and testing again! This plane has weapons that will drop and or fire. (note, these weapons do not destroy objects or AI aircraft). NOTE: There are limitations on the weapons. It is STRONGLY suggested that you READ THE MANUAL! Other outstanding features of this aircraft are: -Realistic startup and shutdowns -Realistic systems and avionics -High quality model using normal and specular maps -High resolution paint kit -High quality sound set -Custom realistic night lighting, landing lights and custom effects. -Flight dynamics tested and tuned by real pilots. The aircraft flies just like its real world counterpart! By Bernt Stolle -Though it is historically inaccurate, the siren is included! -Shared cockpit! -Several liveries included! Delta Force tryouts Delta Force had an opening for a new team member. After all the background checks, interviews, and testing were done, there were three finalists: an Air Force Para-rescue, an Army Ranger, and a Marine Force Recon. For the final test, the Delta Force examiner took the Airman to a large metal door and handed him a gun. "We must know that you w...ill follow orders, no matter what the circumstances. Inside this room, you will find a man tied to a chair. Kill him!!!" The Airman said, "You can't be serious. I could never shoot a helpless unarmed man." The examiner said, "Then you're not the right man for this job. Return to your unit." The Soldier was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about five minutes. Then the Soldier came out with tears in his eyes. "I tried, but I can't kill a helpless stranger tied to a chair." The examiner said, "You don't have what it takes. Return to your platoon." Finally, it was the Marine's turn. He was given the same instructions, to kill the man tied to the chair. He took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard, one shot after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the Marine. He wiped the sweat from his brow. "This damn gun is loaded with blanks," he said. "I had to untie him, and then beat him to death with the chair."

These cannibals captured a newspaper editor and his staff of reporters. A couple of reporters got away and thought they saw the editor get away too. Well that night they still couldn't find the editor so they took one of the cannibals hostage. They tied him up and asked where the editor was, the cannibal said editor got a promotion. The two reporters looked puzzled and asked, promoted how? The cannibal looked them the laughed and said the editor was promoted to editor-in-chief...

Due to the summer holidays and Gamescon, not much new news to pass along this week. The team is mostly focused on getting the 1.2.6 open beta ready (it is basically in alpha testing now internally). For those that wish to participate in the open beta, we hope these open betas will benefit checking bug fixes in 1.2.6 like more stable network play in particular. The team has also been busy supporting BST with the upcoming beta release DCS: Mi-8MTV2, working on the new flight dynamics for the Su-27S and F-15C, and continued work on engine code. Matt

My wife asked if I could take the trash out, so I did. When I came back in the house she asked what I was doing there.
