Man I miss home.....great pics Mike. I need to get back up there.
  2. Prince Harry in Afghanistan :)

So big deal he parties hard. He is young and doesnt seem to be as stuffy as the rest. I heard the same thing Mako, that he is one hell of a soldier and there is no such thing as "can't" in his volcabulary. UK He was scheduled to deploy before the pictures came to light. But I do agree though with the Prince Phillip reference.

  4. No he means actual ability to engage targets. The AIM-120 is terrible. This is a missile that has no equal in the world yet flies like an AIM-7E, The AIM-7 in this sim is better than the AIM-120. WTF?
  5. Oops I did, wasn't thinking. Sorry. Here are 2 to make up for it.

  8. The battle damage is incredible. Just like the A-10C.
  9. Autobots......

Say what you will........takes sides......but Peter Cullen will always be and shall be Optimus Prime ......
  10. This is P-51D DCS but seeing how we are all BG Robin Olds fans in the SF2 land, I did this tribute to him. I figured you all would like it. BG Olds Last Flight.
  11. SF2 isn't dead....I just uploaded the IAF Vipers.. and they are freakin sweet. The best F-16's we have done. That is one thing FC3 and DCS needs badly a good set of Vipers. JM I love that idea.......I say lets market that instead of run for President....then we will be bajillionnaires. I will give TK a shit load of money to do everything we want in the series. Then no more "we dont have the money" excuses. I wave a couple million bucks in his face we will get drag chutes....and an 18 year old college chick to show off the new features too. mmmm the iNuke........

Here's a summary of what this version of OpDarius is - two blue campaigns -- one w/ a ground war; one w/o a ground war - ground campaign is not a full fledged invasion of Iran, rather border skirmishes (still very fun, esp. in the A-10C) - one red campaign w/o a ground campaign - new Iranian weapons, incl. AAMs, SAMs and MRBMs - new Iranian ground objects, incl. mobile SAM launchers, static SAM launchers, AAA, tanks, APCs, and MRBM launchers - two different versions of the F-14 included, one equipped with the Sedjeel missile (based on the Hawk) - dozens of new target areas added, incl. SAM sites, MRBM sites, nuclear research sites, and uranium processing/enrichment sites - overhauled TYPES.INI to better prioritize targets in campaigns - a number of aircraft added incl.the Gripen, Turkish/Greek F-4s and F-16s, the Greek A-7E(H), the new J-7ME, A-10C (w/ the new cockpit), AV-8B Plus, F-35A, F-111C (Late), CF-18_07, & Su-30MKM, A310 MRTT - some aircraft removed (F-4E_86, AT-6B, the AlphaJets, excess C-130s & Mirage 2000s, and a few others) -plenty of other unnecessary cruft removed, incl. gigabytes of unused aircraft skins - new menu screens (nothing radical) - plenty of fixes to just about every area of the mod to get things updated to SF2 standards and working correctly The only remaining problem that I know of is the SA-10, which for the life of me I cannot get to launch no matter what I try or what version from whatever mod I use. I've got the damn thing working in WOE, but it doesn't work in SF2. I did try to preserve as much as possible of the original Op Darius package (incl. basing arrangements for the participating units). So, if someone was really into the first version, they ought to like this version as well. It's essentially Op Darius, cleaned up, updated, fixed, expanded, and now sporting spiffy new campaigns so that you can play it like a traditional Strike Fighters all-in-one mod. Note that this version should NOT be installed over the previous version that Wrench released. Eric Howes Install in this order: OpDarius_Part1 OpDarius_Part2 OpDarius_Part3 OpDarius_Part4 1. OpDarius - a blue side campaign without a ground war. Primary focus for the campaign is bombing Iranian nuclear and military sites. 2. OpMarathon - a blue side campaign with a ground war. The only units tasked with CAS missions, though, are the A-10, AH-64D, and AV-8 units, so if want CAS missions you need to select one of those units. The ground war consists of border skirmishes along the Iran/Iraq border, not a full-fledged invasion of Iran. 3. OpShamshir - a red side campaign without a ground war.
  13. You're my campaign manager JM. Between the two idiots we have in office and running for office now....I could do better.
  14. So your flying game avionics and they sim puts triangles etc on the out side view of the pit. How can I resize those? My eye are bad thus why I play with them on however I dont need them that big.
  15. Thats funny. No my wife got her VA money ($1974 a month tax free for life) and they owe us like $12000 in back pay which will be here at the end of the month. So I think I can hook JM up. The rest of it will pay off my truck and a bunch of other bills. But have you seen that F-15C in FC3?
  16. I was going to start over too to get rid of all my training BS but I want to get this guy alot of hours. Some of those deaths I got after I ejected for some reason. I wonder if transferring my logbook has something to do with it.
  17. I was wondering that too. I landed in a mission yesterday and I didnt get credit for it. So I have to taxi to the ramp and do a full stop and shut down? That one I did get credit for I did that but I dont always have time for that.
  18. Philosophy Behind the Release of FC3 Although it was not stated in the original announcement, I wanted to share the motivation behind FC3 and the logic behind some of the choices we made. With the current divide between FC2 and DCS, we felt there was an unneeded gap between the two products that only served divide the larger Eagle Dynamics product community. Further, those flying DCS online really had no dedicated fighter aircraft, just mud movers. For a more encompassing online experience, this needs to change. Given that "DCS: Fighter" is still a ways off, we hope that FC3 will serve as a good bridge while we continue to flesh out the stable of DCS aircraft (both 1st and 3rd party). However, given the time window for this and the available resources, there was a lot of back and forth discussion internally of what we could and could not do in a reasonable time frame. In the end, a list of improvements was created that we believe will most benefit FC3. Many of these improvements though (like AAM AFM, resource manager, etc.) could not be specific to an FC3 install, rather they would have to be part of DCSW or it would break the game online. Make no mistake though that these features were specifically created for and budged for FC3. As for the new and improved F-15C cockpit, work on this started about a year ago because we felt of all the FC aircraft, it is the most popular. That is not a slight to the eastern aircraft, nor any indication of some sort of western bias. While we would also have LOVED to include a new and improved MiG-29 or Su-27 cockpit, the time needed would fall well outside the product window. As someone that has been flying Eagle products since the original Flanker, I too look forward to a new Crane cockpit! As mentioned before by our moderators that show boundless patience, it is not our decision regarding the requirement for a LOMAC installation. This was a stipulation with Ubisoft that allowed us to create these addons. However, this is also a big reason why FC3 will probably be the last LOMAC product. Finally, on the matter of price, we price all products based on the financial investment compared to forecasted revenue based on two decades of experience. For those that think we make money hand over fist making these titles, you could not be more wildly mistaken. If we solely based price on what end users deemed the cost should be rather than based on actual development costs, we would have been out of business long ago. As it is, we are often lucky to break even on these products.
  19. It was a tga and I re-sized it. Then I didn't like that so I erased it and then modified the way the labels look. Now they look just like SF2 but not a eye catching.
