Well thats just dandy isnt it. I was one the phone with one of CA's members last night and he brought up a good point. If TK was to fold up shop and leave now, we would still keep going. If CA was to fold shop his fan base and word of mouth would drop off then his sale would tank. This site gets 90% of its traffic for the SF1/2 series, which in turn has generated money for TK. How many newbies have came here asking about the games etc and we send them to Thirdwire to get them. We have been free advertising for them for years. What really pisses me off is that we can't even get TK to stop in and say hi, we wanted to do an interview, nada. But the first time we or I say something against the grain, DanW leaves. Here is the kicker, all this talk about this new game on this site is going to to get TK sales anyway. There is no two way street for him at all. There is no scratch his back and I'll scratch yours. All we want is a little communication, does this game progress, does the game have this type of avionics, how will the AI handle jamming and AWACs with the aircraft we have seen? People are tired of getting the same thing. That is why I for example havent been doing much, I'm bored with the game. We are working on the Vipers but I can't get motivated for anything new. Sundowner is another example, he is burned out. ST0RM is the same. I can list more. Yes I want his game to do good, just what's new? Why should we tell people to buy it? I know him and DanW look at the site and I know they are watching this thread. Now TK does not have to say anything at all, that is his right. However A site that spends about $11,000 a year to run and generates money from the fan base should get some common courtesy from the person who the site is mostly built around.

So then there is lies the problem.....you'll be happy with that you get. So you don't want the game to progress? My entire point is, that sim needs to progress.....I don't want it hard core but some updated or new features would be nice. If you are going to make a new game with an F-14, put updates to the radar avionics so it can do what it was made for. In the theater he made, it would need that. Lets take this game into the future. I do not think I am wrong for asking that.

Really Dan? Those that have supported you and TK from day one and we aren't allowed to have an opinion. I'm not bashing but I'm giving my two cents. Some communication would be great and I'll shut my mouth. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong. So throw us a bone here. Can you spill the beans on some features?

Yep he sure does. Lots of game devs need to take lessons from him. Hands down over the last 10 years no can touch him in those areas.

First of all I am not bashing. As someone said, we have to see whats in it first. It would be nice if TK came right out and said what it will and will not have. I dont want to plunk my money down on something that hasn't changed. The list of those who agree with me outweigh those that don't. Someone of you have been here what 3-5 years while someone of use been since the beginning. 10 years and have seen the full gambit of TK can and can not do. The game needs to change and I dont mean new planes, for this some of us to take it to another 10 years for example. And finally I hope it doesnt break stuff that is working which TK is notorious for. With hims its sometimes 2 steps forward and 1 step back.

There are some here at CA that will buy it because they want something shiny and new in your hanger. So are you a combat flight simmer where the nuts and bolts of the sim make difference or all you do if like to fly pretty planes and take screen shots? Well if you are the latter, get out of CA and go join AVSIM. Anyone here likes to get asshole deep in SAM's and fly combat in an F-14 in the North Atlantic doing what the F-14 was capable of doing. Then you are the ones who need to speak up and make it known to TK, that releasing a sub standard game will not be acceptable. We have been supporting him some of us for 10 years.......his fan base can sink him like a ship. That is what will happen if Pfunks questions are not answered,

The F-14 looks nice. However, does the avionics support that the Tomcat can do as far as locking targets up? I asked TK about this a few times with no answer.

I see some of you have built missions using the editor with ships in it. I have lots of ship but when I go to choose them to make a mission, they arent there. Are there any ini entries that should be looked at? An example is that I cant even choose the default CVA-63. I did change the Ark Royal from WARSHIP to CARRIER and it shows up HOWEVER I cant get the plane to be on the deck. The ship sails right over the plane. CrazyhorseB34 and I spent a good couple hours on this last night. We are sure it is some simple edit or button we're not hitting but can't seem to nail it. Any thoughts?
