File Name: NATO Fighters IV+: Post-Dec2009 Update Pack # 4 File Submitter: Dave File Submitted: 22 February 2011 File Category: User Made Campaigns ----------------------------------------------- NATO Fighters IV+: Post-Dec2009 Update Pack # 4 ----------------------------------------------- This package contains a fourth update pack for the NATO Fighters IV+ (NF4+) add-on designed for "Strike Fighters 2: Europe" (SF2E) from ThirdWire. It does several things: 1) Adds new aircraft and ground objects 2) Makes several aircraft flyable 3) Adds new textures to existing aircraft 4) Updates over 100 weapons and guns 5) Fixes or updates numerous other files in the original NF4+ mod 6) Updates items for Exp. Pack 2 compatibility This update pack should be applied to SF2E/NF4+ installations that are patched to the Dec2009 or later patch level -- including Feb2010, Mar2010, May2010, Jun2010, or Dec2010 -- and that already have the first, second, and third NF4+ update packs applied. Please note the those running SF2E Expansion Pack 2 (Dec2010) will have an additional installation step to add Exp. Pack 2 update files to their installations. There are also several "optional" items included in this package -- see below for more information on what they are and how to use them. If you are running SF2E at the Jun2009b patch level and do NOT intend to update to one of the later patch levels mentioned above, you should NOT apply this update pack. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ BEFORE YOU INSTALL Before installing this update pack, please ensure that: - your SF2E installation is patched to at least the Dec2009 patch level; - the original NF4+ add-on is installed; - the first, second, & third update packs (or patches) are applied to your NF4+ installation. The four original NF4+ installation packages can be obtained from CombatAce: http://combatace.com...-1-main-folder/ http://combatace.com...objects-folder/ http://combatace.com...craft-folder-1/ http://combatace.com...craft-folder-2/ The first three update packs can also be had at CombatAce: http://combatace.com...09-patch-level/ http://combatace.com...-update-pack-2/ http://combatace.com...-update-pack-3/ The latest patches for Strike Fighters 2 can be downloaded from ThirdWire: http://thirdwire.com/downloads.htm INSTALLING THE UPDATE Installation of this update is simple. 1. Copy the contents of the \All_Patch_Levels directory to your SF2E Mod Folder, overwriting as prompted. If you are NOT running Exp. Pack 2, then you're finished. If you are running Exp. Pack 2, then you have one more step. 2. Exp. Pack 2 Only: copy the contents of the \Dec_2010_Patch directory to your SF2E Mod Folder, overwriting as prompted. That's it. You're finished. Please look over the next section on "optional" items included here that you may want to install. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Optional Items ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The \_Optional directory included in this package contains files to make three aircraft flyable (one available only in Exp. Pack 2). If you have SF2I you might have already made the other two flyable, in which case you you do not need these files. Here's what's available (by directory). Canberra20: Contains files to make the Exp. Pack 2 Canberra B.20 flyable. If you installed Exp. Pack to an install merged with the original SF2 (w/ the mercenary canmpaign and Desert terrain) then the Exp. Pack 2 installer should have dropped the Canberra20 in your \Aircraft folder. Simply copy these files to your \Objects\Aircraft\Canberra20 folder to make the aircraft flyable. Mirage5F: Update 3 included files to make the Mirage 5F flyable, but additional files from SF2I were required. If you do not have SF2I, you can use the alternate files in this folder to make the Mirage 5F flyable. Simply copy these files to your \Objects\Aircraft\Mirage5F folder to make the aircraft flyable. MystereIVA: Update 3 included files to make the Mystere IVA flyable, but additional files from SF2I were required. If you do not have SF2I, you can use the alternate files in this folder to make the Mystere IVA flyable. Simply copy these files to your \Objects\Aircraft\MystereIVA folder to make the aircraft flyable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Changes, Fixes, & Additions ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fixes ----- - large number of weapons updates/tweaks - added internal gun ammo wt data for several aircraft - minor corrections to FlapLid radar unit - added missing cockpit files to several aircraft Updates (All Patch Levels) -------------------------- - updated & revised campaigns - revised USAF F-4 loadouts - misc. aircraft fixes, incl. re-naming the old Lightning F.6 to avoid conflicts with new one - overhauled Lightning F6 flight model to match 3rdWire fm - tweaks to AlphaObject settings in the terrain DATA.INI - AMD_SM_B2: new Super Mystere cockpit - F-100D_59_RDAF: tweaked skins for SF2 mapping - F-100D_64_RDAF: tweaked skins for SF2 mapping - F-84F: made flyable; added refueling probe & Wrench' custom USAF decals - F-84F (MF): replaced several skins with better versions - Hunter 4 & 5: made flyable & added serials - Hunter 51: tweaked skin for SF2 mapping - Hunters (4-9): Exp. 2 fixes/updates - Super Mystere B.2: made flyable w/ 4 skins (silver & camo) - number of other minor fixes/updates to existing aircraft - several new weapons & drop tanks - several new new pilots/seats - two new sounds - added French carrier station (disabled) to terrain TARGETS.INI - added several new tank/APC models - added new destroyed models for tanks - updated SquadronList.INI to incorporate Exp. Just curious, and my intent on this thread is not a debate on a countries poltics, but the planes they flew. Like for example, I love the Camel so I fly for the Brits. I think you get my drift.

Armed Recon Mission Types (it's a title)

As in you want the routes show up on a certain date? -
Rugg The Rangers were hitting H2 or H3 airfield. Supported by armor that was airlifted by the C-17's out of McCord and Charelston AFB's. This was after the Rangers had jumped on the airfield and secured the tarmac. The C-17's dropped tanks right out the back without stopping to support the Rangers. Rangers got to B-dad after 3rd ID took it. SFC Paul Smith while with the 3rd ID taking Baghdad was posthumously awarded the Medal Of Honor.

Hey either congratulate the US Army or stay out of the thread. You know one team one fight. I didnt see any banter in the USMC Birthday thread. Sheesh. Sometimes the interservice BS can be put aside for a bit.
-
Thats right.......god how did I miss that. Also elements of the 82nd and 101 right?
-
Happy Birthday Army!!!!!
-
Yes but the armor was the first into Baghdad. The 1st AD, the 82nd, the 101 were the first boots in Baghdad. (if I recall correctly) The 3Bn, 75th Rangers were busy with the Republican Guard in another sector. While the rest were in Afganhistan lighting up the Tablian....
-
Wasnt that the name of a porno?
-
Good stuff Jamie and right on the money. Tankers were wearing them long before Rangers and Green Bee..... uncleal You are right, alot of people were pissed off. The mentality of the Army at the time is that they were an "Army of One". So no one was going to be unique. Its nice to see that the new SMA has his head on straight.
-
I watched the whole series. It was a good one.
-
Sheila starting wearing hers today. She hated that damn beret.
-
Well I will be honest, I'm biased about CA. I have gone off the deep end getting pissed off and jumped on some people instead of just moderating. However being one of the Founders of this site I reserve the right to be an asshole at my discretion. . . . . . . . That last part is a joke..

GTX 570 Maxed out with X 32 FSAA and 16X AA. Flawless, just flawless.......I am just amazed by this video card.
-
My god you are right, and I think the SF1 and 2 community is rough. Sheesh. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3314542/1.html The first comment and it all went down from there.

I have found a few bugs myself. I hate the fact that the trim it terrible. Its still not sensitive enough to trim it out so the plane stays level. I hate trying to work the MFP and weapons and try to keep ther plane from wondering off. -
