You can call it either or, just as long as we get it soon! (TK is stubborn though. ) -
An Apology Guys and Gals
Dave posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I am really sorry about the guy over at the 3rd Wire forum. He really has a hard on for me and the CA staff. His dismissal from here for various and never ending infractions has caused him to go over there and vent his ire there. We have been dealing with this guy since February. I hate the fact you all had to even waste your time reading his posts. I feel compelled though to apologize for all of this ongoing nonsense, to you all and to TK. Again my humblest apologies. -

But will it stop you from buying the sim or even flying it? No it won't. With all the other things TK has to look over and make sure is right before release so the sim is flyable, is the spelling of a word (that seems to have 2 spellings and is causing a debate) that really a show stopper? No its not. So if something is broke out of the download when its released we can blame you because he had to spend time on the spelling instead of looking for bugs? Last part is a joke, we know that wouldn't be the case, just pulling your chain. -

Sounds like a nit pick debate to me. As soneone said, one spells is color while another spells is colour. Its semantics. But all the information passed has been extremely interesting. As ST0RM said you can go into the aircrafts ini and make say anything you want it to. -

Problem in WOI after installing WOI_Aug2008_Update
Dave replied to mook's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Eject That is because you patched over a modded install. You never never never ever never never do that. Always fresh install, patch then add your mods. -
Guess you had to be there then. It can happen to the best beta testers. So we will agree to disagree.

Yeah its hoppe, rhuzyu, and about 2 dozen others. His MO is always the same. I can assure you he was treated well and given chances before all of a sudden he would just snap. Then kept doing it, time after time after time. I am just not sure how we could of ever appeased this guy. Its sad you all had to be privy to it and waste your time on it. I do feel real bad about it. -
http://www.msnbc.msn..._news-military/ S! Medal of Honor Citation For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of hislife above and beyond the call of duty. Sergeant First Class Monti distinguished himself at the cost of his life while serving as a team leader with the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3d Squadron, 71stCavalry Regiment in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan on 21 June 2006. On that day, Sergeant First Class Monti was leading a mission to gather intelligence and to direct fires against the enemy in support of a squadron-size interdiction mission. While at an observation position ontop of a mountain ridge, Sergeant First Class Monti’s sixteen-man patrol came under attack by a superior force consisting of as many as50 enemy fighters. On the verge of being overrun, Sergeant First Class Monti directed his patrol to set up a hasty defensive position behind a collection of rocks. He then began to call for indirect fire from a nearby support base; accurately bringing the rounds upon the enemy who had closed to within 50 meters of his position. While still calling for fire, Sergeant First Class Monti personally engaged the enemy with hisrifle and a grenade, successfully disrupting an attempt to flank the patrol. Sergeant First Class Monti then realized that one of his Soldiers was lying wounded and exposed in the open ground between the advancing enemy and the patrol’s position. With complete disregard for his own safety, Sergeant First Class Monti moved from behind the coverof the rocks into the face of withering enemy fire. After closing within meters of his wounded Soldier, the heavy volume of fire forced Sergeant First Class Monti to seek cover. Sergeant First Class Monti then gathered himself and rose again to maneuver through a barrage of enemy fire to save his wounded Soldier. Again, Sergeant First Class Monti was driven back by relentless enemy fire. Unwilling to leave his Soldier wounded and exposed, Sergeant First Class Monti made another attempt to move across open terrain and through the enemy fire to the aide of his wounded Soldier. On his third attempt, Sergeant First Class Monti was mortally wounded, sacrificing his own life in an effort to save his Soldier. Sergeant First Class Monti’s acts of heroism inspired the patrol to fight off the larger enemy force. Sergeant First Class Monti’s immeasurable courage and uncommon valor were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, 3d Squadron 71st Cavalry Regiment, the 3d Brigade Combat Team, the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), and the United States Army.

Starfighter cockpit problem
Dave replied to Planejunky's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
That is because it uses the default cockpit that you get with the F-104G add on from the first gen series. The SF2:E series does not have the pit. -
Let me throw a kink into all this. Why is it that I am flying with it all 3 sims merged and I have yet to see this bug at all? Everyone one of my Mig's have skins on them. Hell when I get off duty I can get you screen shots too if you want. I find it odd that its happening to some but not all. I installed in this order, SF2, SF2:V and SF2:E. Am I missing something? Finally having been on the beta team for this series (Gen 1) its very very easy to miss something. For example when trying to squash a major bug, you can get focused on that and miss a minor one. Knowing all the members of the beta teams, some of who are modders here at CA, they do not lack a good quailty control. It's called s**t happens. TK will fix it. I am sure a few of the testers would not even take offense to what you said though.

How many iPhone users, use it to browse CA on a regular basis? Please post here if you do. Also I don't need a bunch of other posts for or against iPhones. I just need to know if you have one. So some cooperation would be nice in this matter. Thanks.
