So is TK going to fix that DX10, no HUD on 3rd party aircraft problem I wonder. Brain32 had some good points in a thread a few days ago. If you are going to use DX10 shouldn't it be used completely? I want to use that Advanced shaders tweak (super great FPS) very much so but if I do not have an AB flame or a HUD it makes it useless.

Hmm not sure what to tell you there as the AI does use chaff, and flares (if their aircraft is equipped with them) and also will try to beam your SAHM and AHM when they detect them with their RWR. The AI will even spawn aces on you just to frustrate you more.

Hmm am I missing something about the terrains etc? I have all my 3rd party stuff ported over like the NF4 terrain and it works great. Or is it because I am using the legacy series .cat files for terrain? Will I see some quirky stuff if I adjust it the SF2 terrain cat file?

I had the same problems too.

Right now I am drinking beer and smoking a 10 lbs pork shoulder. (Picnic ham to some) Going to take another 6 1/2 hours. Other than that I am pretty much confined to quarters taking care of the wife's post op. Glad I stocked up on beer. What is everyone else doing?

Are the Gr.5 and the AV-8B pretty much the same externally?

41,000 ft, and my engine flamed out. When all of a sudden I get a MiG-25 on my tail. He launched 2 missiles at me and knowing I was screwed I bailed. I descended to 15,000 feet when my chute opened. Well then arrogant prick keep doing passes by me in my chute. He came for another pass and I had enough of this crap. So I drew my Model 1911 Colt 45. from my shoulder holster. When he came close, and I mean he was close, I could see the grin on his face, I opened up right into his canopy. Well the weight of an entire family of .45 cal rounds shattered his cockpit and I don't think his body liked it either. I watched as he broke away and crashed back into Terra Firma. There was no chute. The moral of the story, God made everyone one different, but Sam Colt made them equal.

Wow, this mission was the best I have ever played in this series since 2002. I was on a a runway denial mission. Flew in at medium altitude under escort. Got jumped by some MIG-23 Flogger G's. My escort peels off and goes after them. I fired my ALCM and turned for home. But 2 of the MIGs got through and came after me. My tail gunner was on it, and the MIGs fired missile after missile. I jinked and evaded at low altitude, popped chaff and flares meanwhile my gunner was just tearing into them, a few times they got too close, and my gunner made them think twice. This went on for 5 mins, at least. Back and forth I jinked, counter measures, jammed the hell out of them etc. Out of frustration I think (and ammo) they broke off. I thought I was dead for sure. Just incredible mission, incredible. I got an Air Medal out of it too. This sim never stops amazing me.

Hey Eric I got it completely ported over the SF2 with no problems.

A heater is not going to give a damn about IFF. So it isn't broken. You shoot at something hot, well, its going after it, good or bad.

If you look at your very top post I quoted the above. Prior to that, you went in to that exchange with JW defending your said service. Right there proves to me you have a very serious problem.
