Feedback is always welcome but have you read where some just pick a mod apart totally? Or then the plain whining...like an example....people were actually PMing Sundowner and complaining that they couldn't use his high res skins and requested that he didn't do them at 2048x2048.....I mean are they serious?

Correct, constructive criticism is fine. But there is a fine line between that and rivet counting. Then you got rivet counters that have no clue what they are talking about. i.e. some have never even seen and F-4 in real life much less can tell someone who has worked on them "how it is"....

Well that is a misconception, no one is modding for compliments and the appreciation from anyone. As Column5 said, we do it for ourselves, its just a bonus that the community get to use the fruits of our labor. Ask any modder here and they will tell you the same thing. I got tons of mods I have done and have not released to anyone. Some of us modders mod and just give it to other modders. i.e. keep it in house. I have no ego to bruise and do not need anyone to kiss my ass over a mod. Thank you are nice but its not why we do it. Gripen is coming we just need an FM for it. Our FM guy is gone for right now though.

Not hardly, not even close. People have their limits man. And its has gotten to a point with some modders.

And you can see why YAP and Prowler are payware. Might as well get paid for their time. I mean hell a few of us could do that. Might bring that up to the Mirage Factory. Then at least when people whine we have their money.....then they can whine since they bought it.

In fact drdoyo your experience is what we need here to help correct those who don't have a damn clue on what they are talking about.

Wasn't anything you said at all. It was the very first post after the screen shots were posted. Everything else was a result in which we all were a part of.

And the thing that gets me the most was the fact we ended talking about what it could carry, instead of talking about the model itself. It became a complete after thought.

I guess the problem was though, the very first post was a criticism of it. Namely how many Sparrows it can carry. I couldn't believe it and so couldn't other members of the Mirage Factory. And some of you wonder why we modders get irritated. You wonder why we take so long to release stuff, because of stupid crap like that. Constructive criticism is fine but rivet counting like this is just plain dumb. The post was about the plane not the damn missiles. So I can tell you this, anymore rivet counting and those posts are going to disappear. Period. If the community keeps it up, you all are going to be responsible for the death of it because no one is going to want to mod it.

TK already stated that those were not going to happen.

I am going to buy it because A.) It supports TK. B.) It has the conflict all wrapped up into one nice neat package. C.) It has the A-4H which we don't have.

The tail pipe was extended to help cope with IR guided SAM's. From Joe Baugher's website. http://home.att.net/~jbaugher4/newa4_11.html During and after the Yom Kippur War, surviving A-4Hs were fitted with extended jetpipes that were intended to make the aircraft less vulnerable to shoulder-launched SAMs. The principle was that any infrared homing missile which would strike the aircraft would explode at the end of the tailpipe rather than inside the engine, giving the plane a better chance to survive and return safely to base.
