I looking for these 3 repaints for my F-15C...
Dave replied to Olivier's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Depends on the skin, I did light grey, mod eagle grey, air superiority blue. The color the default F-15 skins comes with is way too blue. I used FS standard colors for mine. So are you saying yours look darker than these? If so I am not sure why they do not look like the above. -

Von Baur that is why I read the Hobbit too, I saw that cartoon as a kid and had to read more. Robert Downey Jr is a better Tony Stark than he is Sherlock Holmes, however he did a great job of being Sherlock Homes. I cannot recommend the BBC Sherlock series enough. Its amazing, just amazing. Benedict Cumberbatch is made Sherlock Holmes his for sure.

Exactly Mace!!!

Speaking of Shakespeare and Sir Author Conan Doyle, and I'll give Hollywood credit here, without them making a movies based on these works. They get lost to memory. Hollywood made them relevant again. It sparked interest in people to look at who these people were and what their works were about. With that, these works continue to live. So sometimes Hollyweird can accomplish something without it even knowing it did.
-
That is true, Hollyweird does some dumb shit. In the case of Star Wars and Star Trek, fans wanted more. The sales of Star Trek are a testament to that. It is my opinion that how they rebooted the series was brilliant. I'm not so hard core that I'm running around saying "The previous series mean nothing now!!!!" With all the Star Wars movies, by adding the prequels and adding extras to the originals it's keeps them alive and in the backs of the fans minds. None of you can sit here and say you didn't want more of the above series. You all did. It's might of not been the way you envisioned but they aren't bad none the less. I look forward to more Star Trek movies because the did great with the last 2. Hopefully this new Star Wars will do the same. If they fuck it up then shame on them. I'll be the first to say let sleeping dogs lie. As far as Sherlock Holmes goes, the 2 movies were excellent. Robert Downey Jr put a new spin on it without losing who and what Sherlock was about. The BBC has a series called Sherlock. It's 3 seasons for a total of 9 episodes at 90 minutes each. It takes place in modern times. Benedict Cumberbatch plays Sherlock and it is just brilliant beyond words. One of the SSgt's I work with told me about and I watched them on Netflix. In 2 days. I couldn't wait to see the next one so I watched them all. That's is how good this telling of it is. Trust me watch the first episode and you're hooked. The writers knew what they are doing. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Oh I'm checking this out in the morning. Thanks man. -
Well after seeing RotS, then re-watching the original Star Wars, when Vader entered the ship, I knew more then, that he was ruthless. Look at what he did to the younglings or whatever they called. I am not worried about how other will perceive it or its impact on them. I care about my entertainment value. Seeing prequels then watching the originals again made it circle complete for me. I saw the big picture so to speak and enjoyed every minute of it. Its like the Star Trek reboot. The new movies are awesome. The series needed this so it doesn't die. They got perfect actors for the parts. The die hard Trekkies are missing out but again fuck them. I don't care what they think. They whine just to whine. Visit a Trekkie forum sometime. None of them have ever seen a woman naked that wasnt on a computer screen. Daniel Craig as James Bond is another example. He is THE Bond from the books. I have read just about all of them. Connery is a close 2nd to the books. He is 2nd because he had more gadgets than the Bond in the books. I have no idea why I am off on this tangent so forgive me. The new Total Recall. Vastly superior in every way to Arnolds. It stuck to the book. I hate artistic license when they turn a good book into a movie and fuck it up. Yeah the movie might be ok or even good and Arnold's version was great but once you read the book and then hope you see it on screen you get disappointed. Anyone read Less than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis? The movie is totally different. The movie turned all anti drug, the book was dark and disturbing. I do like the movie and its one of my favorites but man had they went by the book....eek....intense would be an understatement. WTF Dave what is your point? STFU already. Sorry, have fun with movies and don't worry about what people think. Lets hope they do not fuck this episode 7 up.

What F-104? -
https://www.facebook.com/bravo464 Its 24x36. Only $42.00. Its a B-52G from the 524th BS, 379th BW, Wurtsmith AFB, Oscoda, MI. Which was my home twice when my father was in the AF. I went to high school there for 3 years and met Sheila there. The Old Crow Express was the last B-52G to leave Wurtsmith when it closed in the early 90's. So she holds a special place in my heart. The lovely hand model is my oldest twin Sarah.

DCS: World 1.2.8

I am seriously loving the AFM of the F-15C. Its just fantastic. No more sticky take offs and landings too. -
The 3 books after ROTJ were awesome, Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command aka the Thrawn Trilogy. They should be movies. The book between Empire Strikes Back and ROTJ, "Shadows of the Empire" was outstanding as well. All well worth the read. I am not sure how this 7th move will turn out. I liked the prequels as entertainment, I'm not one of those hard core "OMG they ruined the blah blah blah." They were fun to watch.

Here is my thoughts on how long we have been doing Strike Fighters. Viggen has been here since 8th grade, he is now in the Army. Caeser, if I recall correctly, he was in high school when he first started lurking here and now is a Captain in the USAF. Jimmybib, who hasnt been around in awhile but I stay in contact on Facebook, was here since his 2nd year of of high school. Now he is out of college and working for BAE. I might be wrong on that but close. For you all that have been around, my twins are now 10. My boys are 15 and 17. My point where has the time gone? Share your time here at CA and what has passed in your time here.
