  1. I got SF1 games to work in Windows 10 when I migrated from Windows 7 but they usually crashed to desktop when coming out of a mission. To give it a try you need to first install DX9. Then try starting the games in a Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. You may need to experiment with these modes to see which if any work best for you. The consensus seems to be SF1 games don't work in Windows 10 for most people but I think there may be a few exceptions. I finally just built a Windows 7 computer and my SF1 games run fine on it. Good luck.
  2. I'm running SF2 Vietnam Air and Ground Expansion Pack in a 5+2 merged install patched at Jul 2013. I'm using the SF2V .exe to start the game. The carriers are in the water at Yankee and Dixie Stations in Campaign mode but on land in Single mission mode. Anyone know what causes this and how to correct it? TIA, Geary
  3. kurdistan1, Thanks for the reply but I think I fixed it. I added the color coded water map to the VietnamSEA folder and the 'WaterMap=VietnamSEA_Water.bmp' line to the VietnamSEA.ini file. Fingers crossed it doesn't screw up the great campaigns in this install.
  4. Don't quote me on this because I'm not sure I remember who or how but iirc someone got the RS Corsair to show up in SF2 by removing either gauges or parts from the cockpit. Try a different cockpit.
  5. There are 8 skin folders with 7 skins each. Most are repetitive but span from the mid 60's to the late 70's and from the D to the E model. So, 52 skins in the DLC pack.
  6. Sorry, I can't help with SF1 frame rates in Windows 10 as I didn't track them, but I do remember SF1 would lock up for a few seconds occasionally, then resume. The major problem I had that caused me to build a Windows 7 computer for SF1 was that about 90% of the time the game would CTD when exiting a mission. All seems to work fine with Windows 7.
  7. I'm very interested, but unfortunately also very busy for at least a few more weeks if not a couple of months. I wouldn't have the time to devote to this until things get settled here and slow down.
  8. Sad news for me.

If there's anything I can do for you, ask.
  9. I'm still using Nvidia driver set 353.82 on my Windows 10 SF2 computer. Anyone using newer drivers with NO problems running SF2? I'm using an EVGA GTX 660 graphics card. TIA,
  10. I had recently retrograded a computer from Windows 7 to XP-64bit as a test computer for SF1. But as I didn't find any real advantage over Windows 7, I reloaded it to Windows 7. This has me interested. I may build a Windows XP computer if I can find all the old parts I want. Something new (old?) to experiment with. Where can I find 'Gerwin's back modded IcelandNA'? I can't seem to find it in the download sections as it is named.
  11. Raven, Just my personal curiosity, but why Windows XP? Geary
  12. I don't have Falcon BMS but I do have a CH Products Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Pedals. I get some of my profiles from the CH Hangar? http://www.ch-hangar.com/
  13. Yankee Air Pirate moving on

You had me excited there for a bit. I thought I'd missed a YAP (Vietnam) set.
  14. I made this pitiful attempt at one a couple of years ago. You are welcome to it if you want it. Please feel free to improve and share it. ROC Silver.7z (I used someone else's decals and can't remember whose so I don't feel comfortable giving them away.)
  15. Bottom is more faded, but like Spinners, I like the top one more.
  16. Yankee Air Pirate moving on

What a great body of work these guys produced. Hope they don't quit cold turkey. Love the real missions they re-created and especially the eye candy provided with the missions/mission sets.
  17. Hi all, I'm looking for information and pictures on some of the lesser known planes that flew in the Korean War. I've found scant references to these planes but can't seem to pin down anything definitive on their missions (usage), units, skins, etc... We have a few of these planes in the SF inventory but they may not be the exact model and may need some remodeling work and/or skin work to be presentable as close stand-ins. They are the: SB-17 (B-17) - USAF and maybe the USN? Seems there were different versions and missions for this plane. I saw one Search and Rescue version that has a boat slung under the fuselage. I might need to make a template. P4Y Privateer (B-24) - Used by the USN? Don't know the usage, units, skins, etc. I saw on reference to 'Firefly' night illumination missions. I think we have the flares for this mission. Might need to make a template. TBM-3 Avenger - Used by the USN and USMC? The USMC reference I found states they used it as an ambulance? Have no definitive info on the USN usage. Might need to make a template. Short Sunderland - Used by the RAF/FAA and RAN? Need usage, units, skins, etc. I have no other info on this. Might need to make a template. If anyone has templates for any of these planes I would very much appreciate your sharing them. If any of these already exist for the Korean Air War, please point me to them. Any and all info and help on this is appreciated. (If you're bored with your current projects or looking for something to do, you are welcome to help on this mini project. I won't chain you to it.) Geary
  18. Wrench, Thanks for the info. Did you up load the TBM-3 you did years back? DA, Now that you mention it, my memories seem to think there was a Sunderland WIP. Probably just wishful thinking.. I seem to remember a B-45 WIP, too. Of course it might be wishful thinking or something I saw on another forum.
  19. Sorry I couldn't help. Anyone that flies this game with a keyboard has my respect!
  20. The first thing I check when this happens to me is the adjustment wheel on the back of the joystick. It is used to level the plane's wings so it doesn't roll on it's own. If that isn't the problem it's beyond my current capabilities.
  21. Shiny! Wolf257's P-51D-30 Mustang.
  22. Those of us that may, or may not have, been abducted by aliens and experimented on in their hidden space lab on the dark side of the moon, have long suspected there have been ancient alien outposts under the polar ice caps for millions of years since the polar regions were tropical zones. While flying over the Bearing Straits I came across this anomaly. I expect to see this kind of weirdness where Atlantis sunk in the Bermuda Triangle, but in the Artic Ocean it's a surprise. A bit scary to fly over as I didn't want to get sucked up in a space time continuum or one of my ex-wife's satanic voids. Any idea how to fix this? It's SF2's Danger Bearing Straits terrain. ( I wonder how they do that.)
