  1. USMC F7F-3N Tigercat checking in for the nightshift, Korea 1951. Searching the night skies. Radar finds a target. Stealthily closing in for the kill. All guns blazing. Lighting up the target. Nothing left but a fireball and debris.
  2. Launching the 'Eyes of the Fleet,' AD-4W Skyraider 'Guppy', Korea 1952 Wrench's AD-4W mod with a few alternations.
  3. AD-4NL Skyraider, 'The Flying Dump Truck," @ Korea 1951. Wrench's AD-4NL (3W) skin with a few alterations.
  4. Israeli F-100A @ 1957 (I don't know who made the original high-rez skin. I can't find it in my files or in CA's downloads but it's a beauty.)
  5. French Navy Skyraider, Suez 1956 Another Wrench skin modded by me. (I know, the numbers are wrong for the French Navy, but I know less about French Navy numbers than I know about astrophysics, and I know nothing about astrophysics. Lucky for me this is the what if forum.)
  6. French Skyraider in action, Suez 1956. A Wrench French skin dirtied up a bit by me.
  7. So ... Wrench, where are these 'real French ones' hiding? I've searched both SF1 and SF2 skins download sections and only found the ones I modded by Royohboy in the SF1 downloads for MontyCZ's Skyraider. EDIT: I found your sf2_ad4n-ada_pak in the SF2 planes download section. Think I'll give them a test flight. Thanks. Required screenshot:
  8. Another RN Skyraider in the Suez. Another of Wrench's original skins.
  9. My Joystick Has Stopped Working/Died.

You could try uninstalling the joystick drivers. Clean the registry. Reboot. Reload the drivers.
  10. A couple of French Spads. Modded using Royohboy's French Skyraider pack and templates.
  11. Royal Navy Skyraider in action, Suez 1956. Wrench's original skin.
  12. Sorry to hear you lost so much work. I don't know why graphics problems cause lost files but I lost tons of my .bmp Strike Fighters texture files a couple years back because of graphics problems. They were the only files affected. You might want to try the free Piriform recovery program, RECUVA from the makers of CCLEANER. It's a bit difficult to navigate but it's saved some of my lost files in the past. http://www.piriform.com/ Good luck.
  13. Wrench, So we just need some alien to make "sea to iceberg" transition tiles? Sounds easy! This 11-year-old terrain still looks good even in SF2. I suspected Aliens in Antarctica but it's too far from civilization and too cold to look for them there. I might try Cancun.
  14. How many of you knew about these guys?

"Only the Brave." is another good movie about them to watch.
  15. How many of you knew about these guys?

Known about them for years. I think there were a couple movies made about them.
  16. WeaponEditor_022008.zip works for me if I run it out of it's zipped folder. Double left click on the zipped folder. Double left click on the WeaponEditor.exe file while it's still in the zipped folder window. Have you gotten SF1 to work properly in Windows 10? I could get it to work until I tried to exit a mission. Then it would crash. I built and loaded a Windows 7 computer specifically for SF1.
  17. File Name: AT-6G Mosquito Fictional SEA Skin File Submitter: Geary File Submitted: 26 July 2016 File Category: Other Fictional AT-6G Mosquito skin for SF1 & SF2. This is a What If SEA skin for Wrench's AT-6G Mosquito mod found here: http://combatace.com/files/file/9082-at-6g-texan-mosquito-fac/ It is Wrench's mod to Bunyap's T-6 Texan. You will need this file for the plane, weapons and decal numbers. Bunyap's T-6 Texan is a bit old and has a few malfunctions such as a shadow line and no texture mapping for the tires, etc. But it looks good in the air. If you would like my .psd layer mods to Wrench's template, PM me. Thanks to Bunyap for the plane and Wrench for the Mosquito mod and templates. Any questions, please ask. Enjoy, Geary Click here to download this file
  18. Love the terrain and campaigns, but ... any fix for this?
  19. Does anyone have any references, photos, hearsay, etc. about T-6G Mosquitos being flown during the Vietnam War? I've found ONE fleeting reference to this on Wikipedia: "During the Korean War and, to a lesser extent, the Vietnam War, T-6s were pressed into service as forward air control aircraft. These aircraft were designated T-6 "Mosquitos". I made a What If SEA skin from this reference sometime back, but doubt they were painted this way IF they flew in Vietnam. Any clarification and especially photos will be appreciated. Geary

  21. BoloG, You're right. I wasn't thinking BIG or outside the box. I also know very little about the late fifties/early sixties in the Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand area other than the French leaving Vietnam in the mid fifties. This is very interesting stuff. Would make a great campaign(s)/install if we had enough history and interest from campaign makers and enough photos/history to skin the planes. Thanks for the links and for clarifying this mystery.
  22. Wasn't aware of one by Russo but would love to see it.
  23. Wrench, I know how to use Mue's Lod Viewer. It's constantly on when I'm skinning. The problem with removing the butt cap is that it's part of the vertical stabilizer. It can't be removed alone. Remove the butt cap and you remove most of the vertical stabilizer.
  24. Wrench, You're probably right, but we all know Wikipedia is NEVER wrong. DA, I might give some over to the NVAF but IF these flew over there, what did they look like; what was their ordnance?
