  1. Decal hunting, making, borrowing, happening-on-by-chance, is a whole other art form. Decal placing is a major pain in the head. Congrats on your school exams. Nice paint job.
  2. Are there F-106 & F-102 Templates Available? I've looked but didn't find any. Wanted to check before I start making my own. TIA, Geary
  3. Sheriff001, Thanks for the heads-up on the RAZBAM F-102 MS FSX Paint Kit. Hadn't thought to look there. I dreaded doing a template for the RAZBAM F-102. A few other RAZBAM planes could use templates. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and start on them one of these days. Seems I'd already started a template for the Veltro2K F-102. Just need to clean it up a bit. Got one started on the Pasko, Column5 F-106. Couldn't find even an 'inadequate' one for that plane. Back to the salt mines.

Redrawn Panel Lines & Rivets for SF1 Era F-86 Sabres and FJ-3 Furies. This is a .psd file at 2048 x 2048 pixels. You MUST have a software program that allows you to modify .psd files, such as Photoshop or GIMP. (There may be other programs out there that deal with .psd files, but I'm not aware of them.) You must also understand how to work with layers. The lines and rivets are drawn in pure black but the opacity can be adjusted to fit your likes. NOTE: This template can be used for skins for the SF2 KAW Sabres/Furies but because of the LOD's the skins are shiny and the lines don't show up well. I'm releasing this under the Combat Ace Fair Use Agreement. Use it anyway you wish for personal use. For any other use, please contact me first. If you find any problems with it, please PM me. If you improve it, please PM me a copy. Thanks to all who are helping me learn to skin by direct involvement and/or by inspiration. If I forget or miss anyone who deserves credit for anything I release, I apologize. I have no intent to abuse or misuse anyone's property or claim it as my own. Please contact me to correct any error. Geary
  6. Slightly improved templates. While I was counting rivets I came up short a few, so I added some. Also added 'grime lines.' Readjusted panel line and rivet opacity. Added 'bits' to both sides of fuselage. Small tweaks here and there. YF-12_Templates.7z
  7. That template still needs work, but it'll get you started. (Think I might rework the SR-71 panel lines and rivets when I get a chance.) I'll upload some of my reworked lines and rivets when I get them cleaned up. In the meantime if someone needs or wants one I've done and it's releasable, all they have to do is ask. Don't forget to publish some pics of your work. Found all the missing items in the your remod version Wrench. I was using the DAT version. Thanks.
  8. blaze95, I've attached a quick template for the YF-12. It is only a .psd file. Nothing fancy. Just a few redrawn line and rivets. Unfortunately due to a glitch, the panel lines and rivets layers got merged. The plane needs work, such at it doesn't have the sounds called for in the data.ini file; missing the F18Afterburner tga; missing the AIM-47 missile. This needs lots of work, but has potential. If you find anything in the template that needs correcting, let me know or please, correct it and share. Enjoy. A couple of quick shots of the bird. The black skin is a quick paint bucket splash with some inverted decals and a cloud layer.
  9. blaze95, I hadn't thought about an SEA camo skin for this plane. I had thought to match it with the SR71. But first things first. I'll get the template done ASAP.
  10. I was thinking of doing the same thing with the YF-12A Blaze95 is considering. Thought I'd have to redraw the lines and rivets, etc. and make a template. I will make it if necessary, but not right now. Have other irons in the fire.

  12. Does anyone know where I can find a good copy of the T-6 Texan .psd templates posted by Wrench in the SF1 download section? The file here seems to be corrupted. Also, does anyone have any information on the T-6 being used in Vietnam? My web searches don't turn up any useable information. I'm especially looking for photos of T-6s in Vietnam. TIA, Geary
  13. Nice. I still haven't found the wing fins/spines to paint the top camo and the bottoms silver/gray. I was working off the one skin that came with the plane, but over all, I like the SEA Camo on this plane.
  14. Badfrank, thanks, great site. I see some T-6's there. Maybe I can piece together a generic skin. Wrench, thanks. Been playing with that template for a couple of hours now.
  15. That's the template! Thanks. Saved me a couple hours of line drawing.
  16. If you mean the Texan II, no. It's this file: "T6_PSD_Templates.7z Bunyap's original templates for the T-6 Texan, converted by him into PSD format for Photoshop" I can make one if necessary. Just thought It would be easier to use one all ready done. Thanks,
