Gepard,
Thanks for the suggestion. The Yak-23 tank looks good. Now I must figure out how to place them on the wingtips. I used to know how to do this but that was years ago when my brain worked better.

A two-seat vampire will be a nice addition to the Strike Fighters' hangar.

I'm considering creating a stand-in de Havilland Venom using 3rd Wire's Vampire and I know there are some physical and FM differences between the two planes.
I don't know how to create models. I can't do much about changing the physical differences like the wings except to maybe add some tip tanks to the wing tips. FM differences might be simplier to fix.
Any suggestions on which tanks to use for the wingtips? or any other suggestions?
I know we have Pasko's Venom and Vampire available and I love flying them, but they are showing their age and have some anomilies in the model. And until someone makes a new Venom available I'd like to at least have a newer model, even if it is a 'stand-in.
Any help is welcomed and appreciated.

Pako's Old Vampire and Venom. Note the ill-fitting cockpit cover.

Give me a bit of time to look through my files. Seems I did a template of this plane a few years back.

This model is created from the old freeware AlphaSim B-57B which is a LOT more work than most folks realise.
Lots of ini work by Wrench......without Kev's help this model would not of made it to this downloads section.
Great job. Thanks for taking the hit for us.

I've felt this way about many planes over the years. First I don't care much for the planes but when I begin flying them I learn a new respect and admiration for them.
Currently for me it's the MiG-15. I didn't hate the plane over the years, just didn't pay much attention to it except to know it was at first the foil for the F-86 Sabre in Korea.
I have MiG-15s in SF1, SF2, CFS2, FSX/MSF 2004, and IL2. I love flying this little bird. I drool over the DCS MiG-15 and F-86. Might get them, but wish there was a full Korean Air War install for DCS.
Recently I repainted Pasko's old SF1 MiG-15 and even with the repainted modified A-4B cockpit simulating the MiG-15 cockpit, I still enjoy flying this old plane.
Always some new plane to get to know and enjoy.

I like both. Depends on the mission and how I try to accomplish it.
Usually selecting through the loadout menu is enough for me as I don't fly many special missions.
But also nice to have best of both worlds. Having a variable preset option in the dropdown menu would be nice.

I appreciate any help you guys can give. Prefer not to be redundant if possible. If you've already done it, no sense in me re-doing it.

Are you saying you've added the pylons to the B-52s for the underwing bombs? If so, are they available? No sense in my being redundant.

Please share.

After reading the Osprey campaign series on Rolling Thunder, Linebacker and Linebacker II I though I would set up the Vietnam BUFFs to carry the Linebacker II ordnance.
A few years back I discovered gbreuder's SF1 Vietnam B-52 mods that allowed the Big Belly mod and the underwing mers and bombs. Took me the better part of the day to reposition bombs and mers to get the Linebacker II setup. But I only loaded the F model that way.
Unfortunately the game doesn't allow an easy, correct transition of B-52 bomb loads throughout the three major Vietnam air campaigns, but if I can wrap my head around it I might get something useable and close to reality like different sets of B-52 for each campaign.
Of course the gbreuder mods are for SF1. Might need to readjust bomb positions for SF2. (Thought this issue came up a year or two back for SF2. But my memory is short term, mostly now. Why even though I've read all this, can't remember most of it.)

I recall reading something like this.
Were the AGM-28 pylons withdrawn during bombing in Vietnam?

Hence, also my confusion.
Think I'll pick a course that you've helped strengthen and stick to it. In my scenarios (until proven otherwise), the D & F models carried underwing bombs.

F could do the same
Thanks, again.
I think you answered both questions.

Just now, MigBuster said:F, D and G models is correct
Thanks.
Do you know which could carry underwing bombs?

I recently read Osprey Publication's "Operation Linebacker II 1972 The B-52s are Sent to Hanoi." I also have Osprey's "B-52 Stratofortress Units in Combat 1955-73."
Also looked at various sources online. Combined there's lots of information in these sources but can get a bit confusing with information overload.
What I'm trying to figure out is Which B-52 models flew in Vietnam? I think the D, F and G models flew there.
And which had the capability to care under wing ordnance? I think the D & F models could carry under wing bombs but NOT the F model.
Can anyone confirm or correct my thinking here?
Thanks,
Geary

Like most of you have said or intimated, guess it's what you are used to or prefer.
The trouble I had with the tablet and pen before might have been my lack of hand drawing/painting skills.
I think the tablet has some capabilities that might be worth exploring. If I go the tablet route I'll probably use a blend of both tablet and mouse/keyboard actions.
Got a demonstration set up with my nephew to show me a mac and ipad pro set up he uses.
Thanks for your experiences and opinions.
