  1. 2010 FIFA World Cup

Oh well, the dream is over. No losses and third in the group is a great achievement for a team that most pundits said would struggle to score a point and probably wouldn't get any goals. Good luck to Slovakia. They certainly deserve to progress. Lloyd
  2. 2010 FIFA World Cup

I've been down an put a bet on NZ to go through to the next round. That would require us to beat Paraguay or draw and rely on the Slovakia v Italy match. 6 to 1. I think the odds of NZ making the second round at the start of the World Cup was closer to 50 to 1. I should have had more faith then.
  3. 2010 FIFA World Cup

So tomorrow we face the very real prospect of both England and Germany being eliminated. Then the next day, when New Zealand draws with Paraguay and Slovakia beats Italy , Italy goes out. Would anyone,(other than an Italian) weep? What a cup!
  4. Ludo Great additions. I particularly like the squadron markings on the nose gear doors. I'm looking forward to them. Lloyd

  6. Fiat CR.42 1/3. "Kor Asz" (Ace of Hearts) Vadaszszazad (Fighter Squadron, Royal Hungarian Air Force 1942. Nearly ready for release. Sources conflict on whether the green wrapped around the rear half of the fuselage but I like how it turned out. I've made a few improvements to the panel layers that I'll update on my other CR.42 skins.

The RIrAF acquired a total of 38 F.Mk.1s, and four two-seaters. Aside from the No.7 Sqn, the No.1 Sqn was later also re-equipped with them. A big thanks to palopanz for the numbering. I never have the patience to do 38 sets. Enjoy Lloyd Click here to download this file

  9. And with numbers supplied by paulopanz. Thanks mate! I'll post it shortly, but I don't have SF2 or WOI2 so someone will have to convert it. You will have to move where the shell eject from. Currently its too far forward. 10. paulopanz Any help would be most welcome. Which Arabic font do you use. I use AF_Najed.
  11. Well the wings are done. Now moving on to the fuselage.
  12. So what are we missing? Who wants to tackle an EAF Short Stirling in aluminium?
  13. I need some advice. I'm not happy with the Iraqi Fury colours above. The online sources show a range of colours. Since the Iraqis didn't tend to repaint British supplied aircraft (look at the Hunter as an example), it suggests that the paint should be standard British colours for the Med in 1948. I was thinking Mid Stone/Dark Earth for the upper surfaces and Azure Blue for the underside. Any thoughts? Does this look better?
  14. Do we have a standin for HMS Theseus and HMS Ocean (Helcopter carriers)? Has anyone done a Whirlwind HAR.2 skin for Suez?
  15. I've only just started on the Fury and getting the colours right. It looks fun to work on though.
  16. My mistake. The EAF didn't have the Harvard or the C-47 until after al-Naqbah.
  17. Hi guys Now this looks interesting. I had a quick look at some of my early skins (EAF C-47, EAF and SyAF Harvards, IAF Dragon Rapide, Bonaza and B-17) and they could do with some work. Most were done before I knew how to work in layers. I'm happy to contribute anything I can to the project. I'm yours to command - well request really. Lloyd
  18. Love that Gladiator. I can visualise it in a nice SAAF skin for East Africa.

With the beginning of hostilities they were pressed into service and redesignated the Dominie. Most saw service as transports (including air ambulances) and in training roles. This particular aircraft (civilian registration VP-KCR) was pressed into service with the Kenyan Auxiliary Air Unit - a unit created in 1940 from pilots from the Aero Club of East Africa, near Nairobi. The unit performed transport, communications and reconnaissance flights, including during the East Africa campaign in 1941. Click here to download this file

  21. Adding a ghost flare gun

What a great idea. Could you set up two flare stations for almost the same spot - one for red flares and one for green? Set them for different keys. You would only need to provide for two flares of each colour. LloydNB
  22. Yeah! More early war aircraft. 489 (NZ) Squadron flew the Hampden.
  23. Looking good There's something undeniably sexy about Italian design. That's why I drive an Alfa Romeo 156. I'll probably have a go at some Syrian and Egyptian skins when I get the time.
