  1. RNAS no10 sq Camels

Very nice I like the weathering. Getting the right shade of blue is hard. No two sources agree. I like the shade you have chosen. My version of No. 10 squadron was a 'proof of concept' and done before I knew how to do layers. I'll be downloading your when its available. LloydNB
  2. After they were replaced in the front line by Venturas, the RNZAF Hudsons were reconfigured to be transports. Here's some nice shots of one to the survivors. http://s149.photobucket.com/albums/s72/Kei...%201%2032%20ID/ LloydNB

quack74 Have a look at my No.10 squadron skins in the download section. I did the scowling stripes and wheels with decals. Hope it gives you some ideas. LloydNB
  4. There was also a two-seater trainer version. Yet another aircraft to add to my Palestine 1948 install.
  5. I've got a pretty good set of panel lines for the Javelin.
  6. I know, I should finish one project before I start a new one but......... Plenty of tweaking to do but its not looking too shabby so far. With top and bottom wing surfaces mapped to the same part of the bmp file, there are limited things you can do with this aircraft. This skin is from late 1939 and could, at a pinch, be used for the Battle of France.
  7. Geezer Don't worry, I don't think anyone took your comments to be a criticism of the model. More of a comment about the "art deco" aircraft that some French designers came up with in the 1930s. LloydNB
  8. Fire Fox That was quick. I'm impressed. I think a Vichy MB 210 would be an appropriate way to celebrate. Are you planning to re-release the MB 210 on this site our just at Capun's? And are the top and bottom of the fuselage going to mapped to their own parts of the bmp? If so I could add the 'ribbing' to the top of the fuselage. LloydNB
  9. Fire Fox You're god sent. I'd really appreciate it if you could re-map the MB210 - it would resolve so many of the skinning and decal issues. Great model by the way. Don't listen to the others - I love those quirky 1930s aircraft. The only problem I have is that, if you fix it, I'll feel duty bound to produce more skins. LloydNB
  10. Well here's what the Romanian skin looks like. Still the individual aircraft numbers (1 to 10) to do and some weathering and shading around the engines and ailerons to do. LloydNB
  11. File Name: IDF/AF Dragon Rapide 1948 File Submitter: LloydNB File Submitted: 20 Nov 2008 File Category: British Commonwealth de Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide 100 Squadron, Israeli Air Force 1948 The IDF/AF operated 7 Dragon Rapides in 1948. Mostly operated for personnel and cargo transport, the Dragon Rapides were also be used as an air ambulance. Lacking bombers, the IDF fitted machine guns firing out the doors and aircrew pushing small bombs from the cabin. A typical load was 16x 20kg bombs. Some Dragon Rapides had bomb racks added but its not clear how many. Strictly speaking all remaining Dragon Rapides were not concentrated in 100 Squadron until 1949. Some of the details of the original A-Team skin have been retained. Special thanks to allenjb42 for the background material. Enjoy LloydNB Click here to download this file

  13. I should have this posted in the next couple of days. LloydNB
  14. Fire Fox I'll give it a go. Something like this? LloydNB
  15. Hi Kevin The only way to do it is to paint one side and then decal over the other side. This is the best I could do. One day there might be an update to the model that maps it properly. I just spotted that that the decals show up on the bottom of the fuselage but I don't know how to cover those up. Sigh!!! Lloyd
  16. The limitations of this model have nearly defeated me. No matter how I try, I can't get the decals to show up properly. This is the port number also showing up on the starboard side. I might have to release this without all the proper serial numbers and codes. I hope no-one minds. LloydNB
  17. Wrench All the wing surface detail is painted on anyway. All I would have to do is paint the same detail onto the decal. It might have to be about 500x500 though. I'm not looking forward to trying. LloydNB
  18. I had a thought at 2 o'clock this morning. I can't paint the lower wing surfaces a different colour, so could I use a single decal to do it? I've used decals to colour the cowlings before (Vichy Boston) but I don't think an entire wing has been done before. In theory it would work but there are a lot of practical problems, not the least of which is the size of the decal. 128x128 wont work. Any thoughts? If its a goer then a few other skinning options open up - Battle of France/Vichy/Romanian LloydNB
  19. hey guys Is there a WP paratrooper entry? I couldn't spot one. LloydNB
  20. Is that a Martin B-10 I see peeking out of the hangar?
  21. Hi Craig I'm not sure whether your problem is with the skin texture (which should be a bmp file) or with the decals (which should be a 32 bit tga file). If its the latter then try this application. Open the application (I have it on my desktop), set it to output 32 bit tga files and drag as many files as you need to convert onto the application. I've never changed more than 50 at a time. It converts then to 32 bit files, with 8 bit alpha channel, that the game can actually read. It stops the skin appearing a bright yellow. http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/archive/ind...hp?t-25433.html LloydNB
  22. Sure Allen The more info the better. Lloyd
  23. Allenjb42 A progress shot. Early days - I haven't got the camo lined up - but its a start. LloydNB
  24. Now make a hot female pilot for it!!! No wait - they were puppets. Note to self - get out more often.
