  1. Gocad, Thanks for the great looking skins. I need a little help though, please. I'm not sure what this means: "- Open the decal folder 'D' (inside LwPS directory ) and search for the tga files labeled JGpatchAxx, Bxx and Cxx. Rename them accordingly." What do I rename them? All of the other .tga files are numbered LWnum001.tga, etc. Do I just make them the next number in the sequence or what? I'm confused. Thank you.
  2. Thanks Wrench, I know it gets annoying answering the same questions repeatedly. I have already made those changes in my install, and continue to get the CTDs, that why I posted here. I have the Typhoon, working in WOE. Which is why I'm surprised I'm getting crashes. I used the files from the working Typhoon for the Typhoonis and the TyphoonS. And followed the readme. Just thought there might be something simple I was missing. Like, maybe because the TyphoonS is Saudi and an enemy plane which means no weapons, etc. Maybe try another install...
  3. Are this WOI specific? I have both working fine in WOI, but get a CTD when trying to use them in WOE. I have the other Typhoon working fine in WOE. Any tip on what I might be doing wrong? Thank you. Is is okay to post this here?
  4. Thank you for posting this guide.
  5. Wrench, or anyone else, could you write a little more about what files you move to the modded installs? I understand the importance of a clean install for patching, but when I think about my heavily modded campaigns or theater installs I almost want to pass out from thinking about trying to reinstall Operation Final Dawn, for example, from scratch. There's got to be an easier way than reinstalling everything(a/c, ships, weapons, etc.) from the beginning. Maybe I'm making it harder than it is. Fortunately I held off on putting very many add-on in WOI, in anticipation of the patch. But when I think of WOE/WOV/SFP1, and a new patch I'm kinda dreading possibly having to start over with some mods. Any help, tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Here's the link to Capun's site: http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ I think you have to register to download files.
  7. You can only fly from the carrier in campaign or custom single missions. For single missions go to the download section of this forum. There are lots available.
  8. Send it to me and I'll upload it! Sorry, I couldn't resist. Hope this gets solved soon! Thank you very much for your incredible work on the Typhoon!
  9. A couple of custom carrier missions were posted recently, but I can't find them anywhere. They are not in the downloads section. Anyone remember which thread they are in? Thank you.
  10. There were two missions inside of a reply, not posted to the download section. I think it was in reply to someone trying to install carriers in WOE, and not understanding that you must have custom single missions for carrier ops, other than in campaigns. The person who created them also mentioned that you would need the Spruance, if that helps. Thanks for the reply, tank03.
  11. video card...256Mb or 512Mb ?

The processor is a P4 3.4 HTT with 1.25GHz sdram, I know a long way from a gaming rig, but it so far works for my needs. again, thank you for your very helpful advice. I know you asked about a video card, but... If you only have 1.25(GB)? of sdram, that you might benefit more from more ram, than from a new video card. Like at least 2GB of ram. Just a thought.
  12. Thank you, Brain32! I could be wrong, but do you mean Wings over Europe installation, in item #1 of the instructions? Thanks, again for your fantastic work.
  13. And, Push to Far which takes place in Korea. Outstanding carrier ops!
  14. Too cool! I'm going to look for my house in San Diego. :yu: Thank you very much Wrench.

  16. D-M's A-10s modernized

I really miss living in Tucson, and seeing and hearing the Hawgs fly over the U of A. Thanks for the news.
  17. If I recall correctly, this campaign requires several add-on files. If any of them are missing, it will crash. You have to follow the instructions extremely carefully. I think I got confused or stuck on the version(service pack), that it works with. I'm not in front of my gaming machine so I can't check at the moment. Also, just in case it's not clear, the Burning Sands Upgrade, and the 1983 campaigns are not the same. The first is an upgrade of the 'stock' campaigns, the second is a separate campaign. Keep posting your questions, hopefully the person who created it, or some other knowledgeable person will chime in. It's worth it once you get it working.
  18. In post no.22, is the pipper or flightpath indicator upside down? I know the seat is a bit low, and have applied the fix. Thanks The marks are at 3/6/9 o'clock. On most a/c they are at 9/12/3 o'clock. I'm just curious, not complaining.

  20. It's still pretty early in the morning in California, and it's a holiday. People may not be awake, yet. I'll take them all, as soon as you upload them. Thanks for sharing your work. TurtleHawk
  21. Yes, the Talon's doors work. The F-22's do not. Simple. If you read the Read-Me, it tells you why they don't work.
  22. I don't think you can change it, even with ini edits. I could be wrong.
  23. Thanks, HrntFixr! Another outstanding skin. I'm gonna have to get another hdd just for your creations. I was checking out the differences between the SEA and the Euro...remarkable, noticable, too damn cool! Thanks, again. TurtleHawk
