  1. Fokker EI stuff

Well thats all it'll download before it shuts me off,?????, just wasting a lot of valuable space here, maybe they'll contact me and can just upload the whole package soon. Then you can see em in the air where they belong...trust me, you'll not be dissapointed.....any way I can delete those ugly things? M-M
  2. Fokker EI stuff

Well it helps when you use the right format, but thats as big as I can make them and have them accepted by the site???? any suggestions are welcome, as I would really like you to see them A very dissapointed M-M
  3. Fokker EI stuff

    3EIs.bmp3EIs.bmp
  4. Fokker EI stuff

Okay, here we go.. in the 3 plane shot the grey one is the wrong color, in the single is the correct color, tho intentionally faded to show alittle usage, but she is a historically correct EI M-M
  5. Fokker EI stuff

Gentlemen....Been researching and painting since my first post, and realise I erred in stating this bird was historically incorrect...found some early color references, did a little touching up on the paint and what we have now is....the right size, shape, color, decals, etc., and she is now as historically correct as any plane in the game. An honest to goodness real Fokker EI !!!! Sent an e-mail requesting permission to post a screen..cuz I understand noobys can't do that...but have gotten no response????...you guys gotta see this thing, she's a beaut! mountain-man
  6. Hi guys...need a little help here, just started painting, and thats coming along nicely, wanted to do the decals and such to match my paint jobs but can't make it work...I have vicmans paint proggy and gimp, both of which are supposed to do tgas, but can't make either one work...can load them, edit, paint, etc. but they always come out corrupted. Been searching for 2 days now with no luck on both those sites..can anybody help me out here???...After being on the gimp sites, I realise that I need this in plain simple nooby english, those boys talk in no know human language!! Any help will be greatly appreciated and just might be able to finish all this and get it uploaded here. Thanks guys... mountain-man
  7. Need help working with tga files

Hi guys...again..Well ,went back to LloydNBs proggy site to look around ( awake this time ). And actually had the sense to read some stuff...If you cancel the 32 bit deal and load an alpha channel tga in, convert it to png, edit then save, throw that folder into the proggy and convert it back to tga the alpha is preserved and works in game every time!!!!! Thank you guys so much, could'nt have done it without you....Go get it Sinbad, it is an excellent app, if you keep doing those neat decals, your gonna love this thing!........... mountain-man
  8. Need help working with tga files

Wow...thanks for the replys, you guys are great..now for the embarassing part when I'm editing I always blow up the image to bring out a little more detail, edit, save, go have a look...well it appears gimp doesn't work that way..sometime in the wee hours of the a.m., trying to edit one of Sinbads decals for the umpteenth time(thank you so much Sinbad, really like them), put it back to default size to have a look, save as, and darned if I don't have a new decal on the plane!!!... duuuhhh, appears that gimp reads the dimensions at whatever size you have on screen and puts THEM into the stock file, corrupting it! On to the dreaded alpha channels....grabbed that proggy LloydNB, thanks for the heads up, and unfortunately the freeby only does 32 bit alphas, believe the shareware versions have 24 bit functions, will go see if they fit the budget.......and the beat goes on. mountain-man
  9. Need help working with tga files

Thanks for the response Firecage...can do psd,s,bmp,s and they're fine... can load ,and save as, with the tga,s and they work, so they're not being corrupted by the prog., its only when I edit them that they become corrupted. Just grabbed a couple decals by Sinbad and same deal.... He has apparently figured this out, hopefully he'll see this and help out......the vicman proggy is set up to use the photoshop stuff, and its a freeby( retired, on a tight budget here) and works really well, and nooby friendly. Which is more than can be said of some!!.......Thanks again mountain-man
  10. New FC Fest otw

  11. WHOOO..guys before you fly these go into the m-s data ini...down to guns, you'll find two hashmarks in front of gun name delete those or you won't have any guns...open up the data ini. for the P EIII and you will find two entrys for Flight control..kill the top one or the game will crash!!! Now on to better stuff...Laton, these are absolutely wonderful....they're just beautiful, and what a hoot to fly, did a quick turn against a few of Borts Fokker EIIIs..serious cat fight indeed!!!! What an excellent addition for us early bird junkys....Thank you so much for all your hard work..well worth the wait and then some....darn, now I'm gonna be up all night.. ..and many thanks to v.deutschmark and peter01, great job guys, thank you both. mountain-man
  12. Favorite Kites....

Hi Tailspin.. With the exception of the Nieuport 11 (great plane!), I fly Borts stuff, they're fun, and challenging..My fave is his Avro 504C...don't care much for the twin gun stuff, just seems too easy. But will fly one when I'm in a veg-o-matic kind of mood! Really like the early stuff, the later models just seem to be to easy to fly......mountain-man
  13. What sim should I buy?

Can't help you on the box version, never even seen one. But just to let you know, the D.L. version is not write protected, you can freely copy it to disk for backup. And don't forget the patch. If your on a dial up start the download when you go to bed, you'll have it waiting for you in the morning. Trust me Hurricane any hassle you see to this is well worth the trouble!!!!! mountain-man
  14. What sim should I buy?

Hi Hurricane I highly recommend F.E., its a great sim,LOTS of fun to fly and easy on the system. As for the the planes here at C.A. they're all flyable and well made...Lots of talented guys hang out here. Just go up to the top of the page and check out the downloads section, lots of good stuff. And remember this sim is only a few months old, theres a lot more coming! There's Bortdafarms site where he makes a lot of the early aircraft and they are a real hoot to fly, don't have his address handy but a quick search will put you there in a hurry, and while your there check out his blog. Again on this site there are skins, maps, accesories, etc., all well made stuff.... you can't go wrong, believe you'll really enjoy the game. mountain-man
  15. Hitting the Zeppelins

Peter the only two things that come to mind are... you didn't accidently stick the whole mission folder in rather than just the file???..# 2..have you flown the flanders terr. with that aircraft in create a mission to make sure those variables are O.K.?? If that doesn't solve it I'm at a loss, didn't have any problems on this end......food for thought!! hope you get it running, it's a lot of fun. mountain-man
  16. WIP
