During, Cold War, Soviet forces were obsessed with knowing where were the US Navy carrier groups. That was the main reason they flew long range patrol aircraft. Today, USSR is gone and the old Cold War didn't "gone hot". So, I really wonder why Russia has returned to fly those kind of flights (I think these are currently the most intercepted russian aircraft) since it is highly unlikely that USA would launch massive strikes from carriers. Am I wrong? What's the point to initate some kind of "new cold war"?

I'm not sure that Stealth Blackhawk was built to be widely operated. I may be wrong but I think it should be considered as a kind of field upgrade, designed to improve Blackhawk abilities to perform one particular task like entering Pakistan airspace to drop soldiers during Operation Neptune Spear. I don't think it will be deployed as a service workhorse for armed forces.
