  1. So basically either when hell freezes over or when he becomes a target on a hit list. I'm sure the results of the later would be very supportive and contributing to the community. Yeah, that was just wrong of me to say, but who's going to complain?
  2. Resistance Fighter

Yeah, when those guys are pissed, they mean business and it takes a lot to take 'em down. Would make darn good cannon fodder in war if they could get trained up in weapon operations and combat tactics. Animal rights groups might have a bit of a problem with it though.
  3. Well I guess it looks like I don't have much choice in the matter then. WIP PIC
  4. Yeah no problem. I actually forgot to give you the lod that has the adjustments of the pivot point. Also, FC and I were discussing in great deal the other night on a realistic way to set it up as a single FM for both the player and the AI. I'll send you a PM that explains in detail, along with the updated LOD tonight.
  5. It is a necessary tool for flight sims.... although it does make you look like a bit of a geek when you clip on the reflectors to your hat. Don't expect to be hooking up with a lot of chicks with it.
  6. AIR REFUELING

I voted yes. I think air refueling would add a significant challenge to the sim. It's more than just pressing a button and getting a banana. It takes skill and hard work, especially if things are setup realisticall. One wrong move and you not only take yourself down, but the tanker as well. Besides, the roles could also be reversed where you're the tanker or boom lift operator and have to refuel the birds that are thirsty.
  7. Resistance Fighter

So, are they saying that it takes b@$#s to fight back?
  8. It's the same fix that I recently posted in the .rar. Just giving feedback on some additional testing on it that I didn't do. Also, the jet is a lot more agile now too with a combination of rudder pedals and joystick roll input.
  9. Resistance Fighter

Calling them chimps is too complimenting.
  10. You forgot the anti-matter mongoose militia
  11. The Watchmen

It's out in theaters. Who has seen it yet? I haven't, and I might not see it at all if what I heard is true. Is Dr. Manhattan (the blue guy) fully.... nude..... back and front? That's just disturbing to see.
  12. My New Toy

Don't know if this link will work.... http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=...;subj=582766804
  13. Resistance Fighter

I got a kick out of it when they called it his "weapons cache". I guess chimpanzees are the latest threat in the war on terror.
  14. Well, I did another test with this fix that I didn't follow up on and that is how well it can adjust to a new heading via rudders on altitude hold. It adjusts quite well.
  15. My New Toy

If it's a whole hord of them rushing at you, you don't have time to take head shots. The best you can do is to slow them down.
  16. Hm, I guess we better bring in the anti-matter mongoose militia then.
  17. Hey,ya know, searching for plastic spring color eggs is not a recomended activity at 30,000 ft at mach-2, especially in the middle of fending off a flight of Flankers.
  18. And the number of resistance fighting lazer cats that are in the area.
  19. The Person Below Me

Auto what? Um... false The person below me can explain to me what that is.
  20. I didn't see it as a lecture, but as a comparrison on how we both understand the physics involved. Now, if the real hornet does have aileron surfaces and elevator surfaces interacting with rudder input, then this fix should be able to sort of replicate that. We just won't see the surfaces moving on the 3D model because there aren't any nodes available to mimic those movements. I'm sure with more precise fine tuning, you can remove any undesirable roll when you want to yaw left or right. But try out the fix and give a feedback on it, whether positive or negative. I really like to hear what you guys think of it. Again, this can be used for all other hornets.
  21. The Watchmen

Well, lets see here, you got a naked blue guy, some pyro maniac that wears a hanki over his face, another guy dressed up like a bird... sorry meant owl , another guy dressed up wearing a hairband but worn like one of those greek reethes around the head (guess he's supposed to be the super hero for the emo folks), another guy who smokes a cigar and wears a big ass star on his right shoulder pad, and a hot chick in skin tight leather (that I don't mind). So all in all, I classify this movie as :ghey:
  22. The Watchmen

Settles it for me. Not going to see it.
  23. My New Toy

Full Auto is usually used for those "Holy @$#&*! A whole @$#&*ing mob of zombies (or eels - take your pick) are rushing towards me" situations. Basically, in a very, very target rich environment where everything in front of you, including the horizon, is hostile. Pretty much got to wait till Armagedon to really find it useful.
  24. OK, here is my update to fix the opposing roll syndrome when appling rudder input. This should effectively take care of any opposing roll no matter what your AOA is and if you're pulling postive or negative G's. This fix should be considered as a BETA, meaning that you want to save the orignal data.ini for your hornets prior to moving this one into your hornet folder untill EricJ approves of this fix and recomends it as an official over-write for the current FM. Now when I mentioned that this should be the replacement for all the hornets, this is originally setup for the F/A-18F. So you will want to delete the section for the WSO for any A, C, and E variants that you intend to use this fix for. During experimentation, and making adjustments and corrections to data table values, I wasn't able to correct the opposing roll syndrome when rudder input is applied. So right now, it is a strong hypothetical assumption that the Third Wire engine takes into account of the positon of the pivot points. Due to how the "V" tail of the hornet is setup, rudder input, causing lift on one side of the slanted tails can induce a roll towards the opposing direction of yaw. What I did to fix this is use the ailerons and elevators, without using their nodes (so it doesn't look like anything else is being used to assist the rudder), to operate during rudder input to counter act the opposing roll. Even though this stops the opposing roll, the aircraft will roll towards the driection that you would want to yaw to. I couldn't find a "perfect" balance in between to keep this from happening. However, I found this roll to be evident with other "V" tail aircraft (with significantly more dramatic role rates with rudder input) and some single tail aircraft (F-16 and F-4) when applying rudder input for them. So I'm not going to consider it as a serious issue. I hope this takes care of all your rudder input needs. Report any issues or negative side effects other than the ones that I've posted.
