GreyCap replied to krfrge's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Yup, indicated airspeed drops off at higher altitude because air pressure decreases. -
Why do I never get carriers?
GreyCap replied to Spectre_USA's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
You're not suppose to be hitting F6 anyways, that's a bit of a cheat eh! For the ultimate immersion just keep your eyes in your own cockpit, like a real pilot. And you won't even notice those missing carriers. -

Love it! -
That's a little too kinky for me, maybe if I'm really drunk... I wonder if that thing actually works or is it just for airshows.

Those vocals on great gig in the sky... simply beautiful.

DOSBOx won't help, because RB3D is for Windows only (unless I missed something). I suggest doing a Google search, I already found a few pages about running RB3D on a modern machine with XP, Vista etc... I know there's something out there called virtual machine (or something like that) that will emulate Windows 98. You can also go buy yourself an old machine (for like 40$) and install Win95 on it. It might be worth it, just to be able to play all those old games. Just a word of warning if you do this, if I remember correctly, configuring those old DOS games in my Win95 machine was a pain in the $%&@. But since RB3D is for Win, setting it up shouldn't be a problem. -
I don't about about a prize, but I know I'm gonna party like it's 1999!

Wiki; The reviews after the first public performances of the film were mainly negative, criticized in particular the high level of historical inaccuracy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_Baron_(film)

Ok, this thread made me want to play this baby again! Works great using D-Fend frontend for Dosbox! Surprisingly playable, even today. In case anybody doesn't know; D-Fend Reloaded; http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/ Original Red Baron Map; http://www.replacementdocs.com/download.php?view.2334 Original Red Baron Manual; http://www.replacementdocs.com/download.php?view.2333 -

Dynamix sure knew how to make 'em! Like how 1994's Aces of the Deep is still the subsim to beat, even today. -

I also use a gamepad for flying, its got everything I want in the palm of my hands, nothing wrong with that! In Options -> Control you can't click on Rudder Control and choose what you want to use it with? -
Ah, then you know all about that fine sophisticated gourmet dish that is the poutine!
-
Want a little taste of French Canada? It's called poutine and it's our national dish (no joke). The simplest thing in the world to make and oh so goood. 1. Mix French fries and cheese curds (farmer cheese or "squeaky cheese"). 2. Pour beef gravy over top and wait until the cheese begins to melt. 3. Then dig in.
