  1. A large part of me is extremely happy to see continuing growth in crewed fighter development here at home, good on ya, Boeing! Throw in some Stealthified F-16XLs and we're really cooking with JP-7!
  2. Babylon 5 fans take a look at this.

I prefer this: http://ifh.babylonfive.ru/ Really feels like a real simulator, there's quite a learning curve, but the tutorials are great. Nothing like being able to accelerate unrestricted to 5 kilometers a second. Some of the add on missions are good too, the "Belivers" mission has some great dialogue from one of the Episodes.
  3. File Name: F-35 Lightning II BETA 1.7 RELEASE File Submitter: Klavs81 File Submitted: 28 Sep 2008 File Updated: 25 Nov 2008 File Category: 4th/5th Generation Fighters F-35A Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter for SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI Version 1.7 With thanks to Dave, JSF Aggie, JAT81500, Amokfloo, and especially FastCargo This is a Beta Release, I have to appologize that I simply don't have the time at present to finish up the cockpit, but I hope to have it finished someday! Meantime, I'm happy with the flight model, radar and weapon delivery, I'm afraid the AI is somewhat lacking when it comes to engaging with AA missiles from the weapons bays. Templates are included, there are no locations for decals at the moment, but I've included aircraft coordinates for those bold enough to try. A few notes about flying the F-35: The F-35 carries 18500 pounds of fuel INTERNALLY, this is as much as an average 4th generation fighter carrying 3 drop tanks! I reccomend setting fuel to 75% or even 50% for most missions as your A2A options will be rather limited with a full belly of fuel. ***The F-35 works fine in WOI, and has some issues on Hard flight model mode in WOE/WOV, I reccomend WOI for all your simming needs, but it does work in older TW games.*** Internal gun: You will need to add this item to your gundata.ini and open and save it with the guneditor: [GunDataxxx] TypeName=25MM_GAU-22/A FullName=GAU-22/A four-barrel 25 mm cannon Caliber=25.000000 ROF=3000.000000 MuzzleVel=1085.000000 AmmoWt=0.180000 WarheadWt=0.018000 Reliability=100.000000 Accuracy=100.000000 AddLight=TRUE MaxLightRange=400.000000 FireColor=0.500000,0.450000,0.320000 GunFireEffect=23mmFireEffect GunFireSound=Vulcan EffectClassName=23mmEffects EffectTime=0.100000 TracerTexture=Tracer.tga TracerSize=0.150000 TracerDistFactor=0.002000 TracerLength=0.015000 MaxVisibleDist=400000.000000 MaxStreakVisibleDist=10000.000000 Please do not release modified files for this aircraft without my written consent, you are welcome to release any skins you like using the included templates. As always, any use of this mod for commercial ventures is strictly prohibited unless included in a future official Thirdwire Release. The creators of this mod are not responsible to any damage to hardware or software as a result of installation. As always: BACK UP YOUR FILES!!!!!!!!!!!! Constructive criticism is always appreciated, but please be nice; I'm emotionally delicate, like a flower. Clear Skies and Check Six! -Adam Burch, 28 September, 2008 5 Oct 08 Update by serverandenforcer, starfigther2, Dave and Jat New AB effects, loadouts changed. (Recommend using the AIM-9X and JDAM's form Bunyaps pack). Small avionicd tweaks. Also added skin package. New FM included. 6 Oct update, added fuel gauge fix and corrected thrusts values. 7 Oct update. Jat added A2G avionics. 25 Nov update. Internal weapon stations slightly tweaked to more realistic limits, .SHD file deleted (not needed for Oct 08 patched installs), and most important, all weapon bays are now fully automatic. Version and readme number updated to Beta 1.7. Done by FastCargo Dave Click here to download this file
  4. Aviatrix

    Second. This one's good too:
  5. Aviatrix

Those were the days! Hopefully THIS crappy new movie will spur a new fashion movement. Amy Adams, rrrrrrroowrrrrr!
  6. Yup, I've got that and the Thunderwarrior in my queue!
  7. If I ever find the guy that hit my car and drove off today................. Oooohhh......hoo-hoo boy. Let's just say that I painted my "angry" nose art on my jet today.
  8. I always try to drive without insurgents, they always change my radio stations and leave RPG-7 Exhaust stains on the upholstery!
  9. Yep, we've done as much with that vid as possible. I just regret that I don't have the time skill to get the cockpit working like it should. Model it, yes, but getting it to work better than it is is just too beyond me.
  10. Great stuff, but the music from the early Wings was always kind of um, "bow-chicka bow-wow..."
  11. I'll let you use your .psds as the decal temps then, should FC want them released when he releases the actual aircraft. And thanks, I had fun doing it!
  12. Dave, those look great! I guess you've got everything you need without me! The only thing I couldn't figure out, is where you put the shark's mouth? She's got too many orifices and pointy bits! (so to speak) Also, I'm gratified you kept my little piggie drawing! -A
  13. I built it, after many many many long hours of research and pouring through original North American blueprints.
  14. Now you SEA me... Now you don't!
  15. Definitely has a lateral stability problem, but I'm just the guy with the paint bucket
  16. Not the best attempt at bare metal, but I had fun with it!
  17. Y'know, this thing is actually starting to grow on me... I like it a lot better in it's Red Livery.
  18. Thanks! Judicious editing and multiple attempts make even the poorest pilot look SMOOOV. I had to bump the weight down to get off the ground in mil-power, I just didn't have the patience to wait for my fuel to burn down, and I assume they wouldn't do AB straight down! And by the by, FRAPS is WELL WORTH the 38 bucks for the license. Next video? Stupid JSF tricks! -A
  19. All hail FC and his infinite awesomeness! This thing is a thing of beauty, thanks man! EDIT: Click for movie. We need to figure out a fuel dump for this bad girl, she doesn't like to float! -A
  20. *Craps pants in excitement*
  21. Negative. FC = FastCargo He's the reason you all have such a great plane to fly, I just model the darn thing!
  22. FC, This thing's coming your way, TODAY!
