  2. Does anybody remember this lady? It's kind of my take on a more modernized version of the SA-43 Hammerhead fighter from Space: Above and Beyond. I tried to turn it into a serious marine mud mover with a stowable gun. Anybody interested in taking a crack at getting her into SF2? I simply don't have the time. Completely UV'd, not rigged. And no cockpit or pilot to speak of. But I'd love to be able to take her for a spin. format is Modo, but I can export to OBJ if necessary. Cheers guys, and keep up the great work around here! :) -Klavs SA-43 Hammerhead.zip

  4. I very quickly modeled the Sikorsky X2 Technology heavy lifter, adding details here and there. Who wants a challenge designing a flight model? It needs finishing, but I just thought I'd share. It's huge.
  5. File Name: English Wingman Speech Pack Beta-1 File Submitter: Klavs81 File Submitted: 9 Jun 2008 File Category: Sound Mods English Language Wingman Sound Mod by Adam Burch Installation: Simply place the contents of the Speech folder in the zip file into your wov/woe/woi speech folder. Backup your Speech folder first. Notes: 1. All 3 wingman voices are the same for now, but I believe them to be slightly less annoying. You may disagree, hence; BACKUP YOUR SPEECH FOLDER prior to installation! 2.Some callsigns have been changed, Awacs is now DARKSTAR, reflecting more modern AWACS call signs. A forthcoming AWACS speech pack will address the AWACS voice. 3.The radio may be a bit loud for you It comes in loud and clear over my (quiet) engine noises, so you may want to turn down your sound effects. I never really needed to hear much beyond my sidewinder tone and RWR anyway. All other speech is quiet by comparison. 4. This is a BETA release, so please email or PM me with any problems or suggestions, just remember: It's a BETA! All other speech packs forthcoming. (i.e. when I bloody well get to 'em!) :) Enjoy! -Klavs81 Click here to download this file

Modern Warfare soundpack by Klavs81 New sounds for SFP1/WOV/WOE/WOI Simply pick and choose which sounds you'd like to replace and add them to the Sounds or Flight Folder. Backup your old files first!! Gun Sounds: 50cal Cannon Vulcan Hangar Noise Sounds: Updated to include Taxiing F-16s, Flybys of A-10s and F-16s Sound a little more modern and realistic. IR Sounds: A more realistic warbling sidewinder tone, from my earlier sidewinder soundpack Explosion Sounds: More muted, but taken from audio of a real Air Force gunnery range Breathing: Changed to simulate the G-Strain muscle excercise modern pilots undergo during high-g. I have Lt. Smeeding to thank for his educational (and hilarious) centrifuge video tape to get this one just right without sounding super annoying. Loading sound: F-16 startup. Enjoy!
  7. Does anyone know where I can find the subtitles for speech and callsign strings? I'm working with some of my ABM and Fighter buddies to re-record some dialogue, and I wanted to: A. Try and make the text subtitles match the new speech. B. Change some of the goofier callsigns into more modern ones, especially changing Red Crown to the more modern "Darkstar" or "Chalice" I'm guessing this is hard coded, but if anybody has any ideas, otherwise, I guess I'm okay with the subtitles not matching. Thanks in advance, Cheers, -A
  8. Okay, I sprung for this ($$$!) from Turbosquid, spent a while dumbing down the mesh, and getting it to F-35 A standards, it's still ridiculously high poly, added some wheels, cutouts for weapons bays, landing gear, etc. I've also added geometry along all the panel lines so specular will follow the geometry of the lines. It really is quite beautiful. I must be clear that I have absolutely ZERO time to work on this, but I'd love to fork it over to one of the former F-35 team and let them blow it up. Dave, JAT, FC? Hugs, Klavs
  9. Also, who likes Wing Commander?
  10. Private Pilot's License

The best time to start flying is TODAY. Even if it's just a $50 intro flight, get your butt in the air and see if it's really for you. Only when the instructor hands you the stick (yoke, whatever) and says "your airplane" will you know if it's worth the investment or not. Addendum: I recommend getting your taildragger endorsement first thing after your VFR checkride. 2nd Addendum: Anybody in the Denver area is welcome to come fly taildragger/aerobatic with me anytime. 7KCAB FTW!
  11. I surely do wish you could slave EOGBs and EORs onto parked aircraft, as it is, you have to splash them with AAMs or strafe 'em.
  12. File Name: Pilot Legs Developer Pack File Submitter: Klavs81 File Submitted: 17 Jun 2009 File Category: Jet Cockpits Simple .3ds and Max 9 files containing the legs I used for the F-35. Drop it into your cockpit mesh to relieve that phantom limb syndrome. This is NOT, repeat NOT a plugin for Strike Fighters, it is for developers to add to their cockpits if they so choose. If somebody wants to play around with them and try adding them as an ini, feel free, but it ain't gonna be me! Cheers. Click here to download this file
  13. I just upload my legs to the jet cockpit area if you guys want to use 'em.
  14. Why all the debate concerning AA/AG all of a sudden? I thought giving the aircraft an AA/AG mission was as simple as changing the primary and secondary roles and giving it some loadouts? PrimaryRoles=SEAD,STRIKE,CAP,SWEEP,INTERCEPT SecondaryRoles=CAS,RECON

  17. Looking really really really good guys! Looks like Joint Vision 2020 might happen sooner in SF2 than in the real world.
  18. Can anyone 'esplain to me how you rig a pilot model to animate in TW sims? I've got the body and the head as separate objects. There's a pivot point at the base of the head, on the neck. Now the question is, is the pilot run off of animations? I.E. 1: Turn Left 2: Turn Right 3: Look Up Or, is there nomenclature for naming the head so that SF detects that it's a HEAD type object and just animates it on its own? Help would be appreciated, otherwise Phil here's going to be looking dead ahead all the time. Cheers, -A
  19. That must be a new thing for the WOV2, WOE2 install, I hadn't seen that before. Thanks! It's way too late here, time for bed!
  20. Thanks for the help, FC. Now, can anyone tell me why in hell my seats and custom pilots aren't showing up all of a sudden?! I swear, I haven't done anything, they're just sitting in their folders in the aircraft folder like, has anything changed?!
  21. File Name: F-35 Pilot Pack File Submitter: Klavs81 File Submitted: 7 Jun 2009 File Category: Pilot Mods Finally! The Demon helmet for the F-35. Several variants are included, modify the pilot parameter in the AircraftData.ini file to select your pilot. The head does not move, due to the complexity of the oxygen hose. There's another great F-35 pilot out there for people who would like this feature. Heat: green flight suit with carbon Fiber Helmet Moisture: green flight suit with grey helmet Dirt: Brown flight suit with camo Helmet Death: Black flight suit with carbon fiber helmet. More variants are in the works, including female flight crew. Feel free to modify, as long as you give credit where credit is due. Click here to download this file
