  1. Famous WW2 quotations

Find the enemy, kill the enemy. Seems pretty damned timeless to me.
  2. Famous WW2 quotations

Find the enemy and shoot him down. All else is nonsense. -Manfred Von Richtofen.
  3. Boy you said it brother! Thanks for lowering the volume, it was on my t'do list! Maybe someday I'll have the time to do the rest of the voices, and finish the F-35s, and finish my instrument rating, and go to grad school. Someday...
  4. Thought I'd try my hand at building a WOE ready aircaft in 3DS Max, I don't have the energy to do a complete mod, but I would be happy to release a ready to go aircraft (Mirage Factory, I'm looking your way, guys!) I'm happy to be contributing to this community instead of just TAKING from it. :) My other art stuff can be seen here. Cheers! EDIT: While I'm at it, I've got a rudimentary cockpit goin' on, too.
  5. Blackhawk art

    I like it!
  6. F-14 Art

I did this piece of commissioned art in exchange for a couple of hours stick time in an RV-8. It was totally worth it!
  7. F-14 Art

I get to fly this this weekend, wh00t! No damn approaches, no airspace, just a stick, a throttle, and 225hp.
  8. F-14 Art

Might. :D PM me with details if you're interested.
  9. BLUE ANGELS down 1 plane

Meaning, a higher rank or supervisor being romantically or sexually involved with a lower rank within their command. This is a very touchy subject, but folks in the military generally can tell when this kind of thing is acceptable, and when it's not. For instance, an Airman can date a Sergeant, but not within the same command structure. The chances a relationship can be used to curry favor on performance reviews is just too great. Alternatively, I know a Major married to an LT, which is fine, as long as it's a legal marriage and the Air Force knows about it, and it wasn't inappropriate to start with. (They were at different bases during their courtship.)

  11. Yep, carrier version. I actually got to see/touch some F-35/F-22 wing skins this weekend, CSTOL wings and a couple of CV wings. There's an awesome level of technology behind this aircraft.
  12. You guys are in for a treat. Thanks to Fast Cargo's awesomeness, you'll no longer have to toggle your weapon bays!
  13. History Channel Foibles

Does anybody else seem to catch a lot of wrong info on history channel/military channel shows? Not usually on the part of the narrator, but when they show the interviews with the "experts"? I just caught a British historian say that Goering looked up in the air and saw Mustangs flying over Berlin in 1943! The first USAAF raid was on March 4th, 1944 It's just when I catch stuff like that, I wonder how many other things I'm taking at face value? Anyhoo, maybe I'm rivet counting, but it bugs me that these guys are supposed to be the professionals.
  14. History Channel Foibles

Nothing that can't be treated with Permethrin 1% cream rinse and pyrethrins.
  15. History Channel Foibles

Yeah, but not Merlin powered, and NOT over Berlin. Which was my point. RAF Mustangs debuted in combat in 1942.
  16. OMG CUMPAER 2 SUPERHORNTF NUMBER 1 USN FIGHTER SUPERFLANKER ATOOL MISSSEL!! GO!!!
  17. Lovely work all around, it's very flattering to see my bird in such lively colors! Thank you.
  18. I just flew a quick mission in IL2 flying 3 Spit Is against a gaggle of HE-111s with a bunch of Ron Goodwin music in the background. I'm feeling very English lately, for some reason.
  19. Crimson Roamer gets it. Get it? The BIG WING?!?! AH HAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!
  20. If anybody can tell me the origin of the "Lee Mallory" reference and what it pertains to, you've got a beta slot. EDIT: Or, I should say, an Alpha slot.
  21. Zero, and I don't drink coffee or tea either. I just can't shut my brain off!
