I have seen those f*ckers do crazy sh*t in the days of the Sarajevo siege. Although bound together with string and duct-tape, and with pilots of questionable reputation, these birds did amazing stuff when landing or taking off! Impressive bird, I bet the pilot would have taken a 100ft of mud and grass if he needed it!

Hey ShinKazama88, Do not write in such a big font and in capitals. If you know your internet rules and protocols, you know this means you're shouting. Together with the tone, in this way I do not think you will gather much support. Post your question/comment in the appropriate thread, keep the font small enough and the tone a bit more polite. Today, I am shocked to hear from the death of former PFC Joseph Dwyer, who got "famous" by being in a photograph of the rescue of a wounded Iraqi boy. I knew the photo, but never knew the story of the man pictured in it. As a fellow former military ambulance driver, the photo stuck in my mind. Today I read a small article in a Dutch news paper and after reading immediately called my wife on the phone. I have said something like "That frigging PTSD has claimed another victim once again" and hung up. I myself have been battling PTSD since my return from bosnia in 1994 and can imagine the horrors one is haunted by. Thanks to my wife not abandoning hope (and me) I am still here, but it breaks my heart to read a story which could have taken place here, or anywhere else in the world. She rushed home and is now here to support me, get out of my emotional rollercoaster. Being on the forum of this community has proven me there is more understanding for the military and its (wo)men who serve(d) than in the everyday life where John and Jane Doe enjoy the safety and freedom provided by others. To all: Thank you for the kind words you have written. PTSD is truely a silent killer, or at least a "disease" which damages a lot. Since my breakdown, when I was diagnosed with multiple PTSD and a few other illnesses related to this disorder, I have been battling PTSD ànd the ignorant society I live in. Here, people do not have as much respect for the individual soldiers as in some other countries (and most of the times it isn't much there either...) and it is all traced back to those darned seventies. All in all it is a battle which will last a lifetime, but with the support of my wife, my few remaining friends, my army buddies and people like you I hope to never fall back to the situation I was before. Hopefully PTSD will never have me do things that will eventually mean my demise. Again, thank you all. Little note; I did not start this thread to search for people to feel pity with me, but I felt the need to honour this "forgotten hero" and explain why I felt to do so. For all: I salute you. You all make the world go round, you all make John and Jane Doe sleep better at night! Although scarred by my past, I now wear my "scars" with pride. I know the battle with PTSD is never over, but thanks to people like you I know I am never alone! <S>

I bet it's your pride and joy! And it needs to be as comfortable as it gets, it is your working place, office, living room and bed room all in one! And with the distances in the USA I can imagine not being home every night. Pamper yourself, every little pleasure counts!

Yeah, having a bed, fridge and a microwave beats my ride, although I use mine for pleasure only! It is a hell of a fun car, and I even used it at my wedding (past June 9th) As a matter of fact I love all petrol and diesel gulping machines, but this one gives me the fun I always had while karting. The P-191, as made, was an F-84F-71-RE Thunderstreak with serial 53-196916 which was taken in service in August 1957 and flew until October 1970. It first flew with 316 Sqn but was handed to 311 Sqn late December 1957 because 316 was disbanded. With 311 it flew as PP-12 and later as P-191. The skin in which P-191 is standing guard near the gate often is incorrect. Over the years I saw different serials and squadron markings. At one time it almost fell apart, but it is now in a better condition. So, here you have P-191. Nice livery, for which I thank Column 5 because he made the basic camo skin. Yeah, I thought so. But with my complete lack of knowledge and means to create a skin from scratch, this is the best I could come up with. Maybe in the future, when I have time, resources and brains.... For now, this is it. I'll call it a stand-in then! Ciao
