  1. WOW! Those are some stunning pics, ViperBat! I was fooling around a bit with the Overcast clouds and settings... I also changed the Cloudlayerbottom4.bmp color so it matches the 3D Cloud colors in the F-84 screenshot. It looks better to me than in the A4H screenshot.

  4. Here's a screenshot from my last mission. Behind my Se.5 is an Albatross I had just forced to land. Moments later I was forced to land in the very same spot!
  5. Happy Birthday Stary

Happy Birthday to the Terrain God!
  6. Amusing Mission End

Perhaps we could trade Tea and Scones for Beer and Bratwurst...
  7. Mutual Shootdown

  8. 2010 FIFA World Cup

Breathing a sigh of relief after the US managed a tie. Looks like we got robbed of a game winning goal. All the announcers are agreeing, "what was the ref thinking?" I'm still not clear why our player got carded after the ball hit him in the face. WTF? In any case, I'm glad we're still in the running.
  9. Back to the world

Welcome back! And thanks for being there.
  10. No more Heroes

    To absent friends
  11. Learned Something New

OMG! That is SO funny. It just goes to show you how people's sense of "taste" whether in regards to tastebuds or music or fashion, is often determined by social pressures; not by truly liking something or not. Cool thread. The coconut crab is another one I'd never heard of and I watch Animal Planet and Discovery more than anything else on TV. I guess they hadn't gotten around to it yet. Has anyone heard of a "Wetta." It's a huge relative of the cricket that allows itself to freeze during the winter and then can thaw itself back out during the spring!
  12. Invictus

Has anyone out there seen "Invictus"? It's an excellent movie. It's about Nelson Mandela after he assumed the presidency in South Africa. He was very concerned about how he could unite a nation that was once divided. He focused on Rugby as one way to bring the country together. A definite "feel good" movie. It seemed appropriate to watch while the World Cup is being played in South Africa. Highly recommended.
  13. Learned Something New

Most cool. It's always fun to learn new things.
  14. World Cup has Begun!

I'd like to buy Robert Green a pint. He might need it since drinking in any pub in England might not be safe for him.
  15. FIFA World Cup

Thanks much to "fumble-fingers" Green. It was a lucky one but we'll still take it.
  16. FIFA World Cup

Go Team USA! I'm stocking up on beer for the game in just a few minutes.
  17. Ltn. Wolff of Jasta 5

WOW! That is stunning, Quack. Great work.
  18. I'm SO looking forward to trying this. Thank You! Thank You!
  19. A gathering of OLD Eagles

The largest gathering of B-25s since ww2. Held to celebrate the Doolittle Raid. This was held in the small town where I grew up, Champaign-Urbana, IL. Doolittle Raid Reunion
  20. Great work. I was hunting around for one last week. Looking forward to this.
  21. Has anyone else seen this dark line extending from the tail section to a point on the ground? I've never seen such a thing before. It's dark gray and semi-transparent. I only see it on an external view. As I pan around the aircraft, it appears and disappears. It looks like an artifact from the model-making process. Is this fixable?
  22. Maybe you don't have to do that yet. What effects package did you use? Check to see if any other files, any kind of .ini (nations.ini, weapondata.ini) was included with the package. It might have overwritten something.
  23. I've seen this happen, in single missions, when the startyear in <aircraft>_data.ini is later than the endyear of any other aircraft in my install. For me it happened when I installed an F4-S in WoV. Nobody comes out to play. Does this happen with the default aircraft from WoI?
  24. Time Out.....Lets All Relax a Bit

I'll stick to rum and India Pale Ale, thank you. Meanwhile, I'm warming up the vocal chords to sing Kum-by-yah...
