Series 1 in Windows 7 64-bit
Dogzero1 replied to Geary's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I have all the strike fighter series installed in the programs(x86) folder. Never had a problem. No crashes either. Using win 7 64bit ultimate. -
Surely not all fighter are even equipped with an afterburner?

Good post. I have seen a documentary about this on TV. It scares the living bejeezus out of me. I love mountain climbing and my passion is to climb most of the UK's highest but I would never dare to do anything like Everest. Thanks

SFV2 Air & Ground war graphics help please
Dogzero1 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Right, lets see if I can get some help. I have recently purchased SFV2 and I have installed it as a stand alone (even though I have SF2I also). It is installed in VISTA 32, and its save games folder has been created. I downloaded all the Air and Ground war parts and the tile update. (yes, the SFV2 version). Now I tried to follow the instructions but straight away ran into a problem. It say in the instructions that if you run the game once it will create a mod folder. Well mine does not create one. So I just made one in the saved games folder. I unpacked all the parts and update and pointed the ini to the mods folder. I also did the bit about the a6 cockpits too. All is well except the cockpits in the a6's are screwed and also the tails. Whats going wrong. I have also updated the game with the latest update from TK. Here are a couple of pics that show the problem. I have no such problems with the same mod in WOV. Thanks all. -
Probably been asked a few times but here goes. I am thinking of having a dabble with a WW1 Sim and was thinking either FE1/2 or OFF or ROF. Now which one is the best...............really? ROF looks nice and reading about here has got me tempted, but OFF also looks pretty good (I do have MCFS3). But what about FE 1 or 2? Are they in the same league? Thanks Dogzero1...

Where is the MOD folder
Dogzero1 replied to spitfire007's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
This is what I do. Go to your saved games directory, in there you will find an options.ini. In there you will find a line about half way down that says something like this: [Mods] ModsEnabled=TRUE Directory=C:\Users\Administrator\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam Change it to this: [Mods] ModsEnabled=TRUE Directory=C:\Users\Administrator\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam\Mods You then restart the sim, then close down again and this time when you go in this saved game folder you will find a mods folder. Hey presto, job done. Drop all your mods as instructed into that one. Hope this helps, it's how I do mine. But I must stress that I have gone back to Air and Ground expansion gold on my WOV install due to some issues with SFV2 abd graphic anomolies. All the best. Dogzero1... -

You lot dont know when you are born. I remember when city scapes were really detailed in combat flight sims . Infact I still have a dabble with these sometimes on my retro pc. -

Thought I'd share a Youtube clip with you all. It's quite an old clip now and well thought of in RAF circles. I love it and it is close to my heart. Have some fun and if you can, add a funny military clip to this thread. This is how the RAF do it. Have a good day all. Dogzero1..................

Fantastic. I love the Military. This one is closer to my heart though: Here is one of my favourites:

I usually read books from Michael Dimicurrio and Patrick Robinson but lately I ventured into other waters. I have got to recommend this book: Last Light by Alex Scarrow. It's a great novel and thought provoking. Quick blurb

Maybe........but they are merely entertainment. Take them for what they are. I personally love wathing a good movie and I would say that 70% are quite good.

See my disclaimer. Some British girls are gorgeous.
