I thought it was British Policy to make the world England................?
-
Sorry I dont understand you. Like I said previously, I am not against the Argentinian people. I am all for going to war with their silly military, stupid politicians and that stupid Hugo Chavez idiot. Did you see him ranting on TV? What an idiot. He still thinks the Queen runs our Country. If I had my way I'd drop a low yield mk28 tactical nuke on his presidential palace. We will defend British soil, people and British interests from all those foreign nations that threaten us.

I'm pretty sure it political muppetry on behalf of those tin pot, big hat'd, medal wearing South Americans, but if it isn't, Great Britain will defend those Islands of ours to the bitter end of Argentina or any of the other puppet states that support them. I have absolutely nothing against the Argentinian people, just their successive governments. I lost a family member in the Falklands war and I have done two tours there myself. Its ours, it's British:salute:

OMFG: TK plans F-14 game?
Dogzero1 replied to tflash's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
We need something quite different to what we already have. Otherwise I already have a F-14, flew one earlier on Desert Storm. -
Thank you Capt Ward. Thankyou for your service to the free world and the allies. I appreciate your time serving your country. God bless you. :salute:

Mission report. The date: 1966 The place: South Vietnam The mission: Ground Support The Target: Viet Cong training Camp The Mission Aircraft: F-5 Tigers The weather was typical. High humidity, low cloud. The skies were busy with packages on various missions all around. The attack went as planned and I, the flight leader, managed two direct hits on the camp whilst the flight attacked enemy AAA positions in the vicinity. During high speed manouvers I had a near miss with my own flight members not once but twice. The second occasions affecting my F-5 with the afterburner turbulence of my wingman who gave me the bird as he passed not 20 feet in front of me at 500 knots. End of mission report. -

Why have some modders gone to payware?
Dogzero1 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Dont have a go at me folks, I'm just generally interested in the answer. I have purchased all of TK's sims and downloaded most of the good mods and addons done by the free mod community here but what I want to know is why some modders split away from the free community and sell their mods, cockpits, terrain ,aircraft etc etc. Do they have a big enough market for this? I have absolutely no intention of purchasing an addon, but obviously some people do. Just wondering why some modders give their work freely and others dont. Thanks Dogzero1. -

Why have some modders gone to payware?
Dogzero1 replied to Dogzero1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
To be honest, I haven't looked at any of the payware sites or what is available. I should have a peruse. I did look at this Yankie Air Pirate after it was mentioned and by eck it looks good. Still not tempted though, I need my hard earned for a few pints on Friday. -

Dogzero1 replied to Dogzero1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
No you do not detect a hint of animosity. I don't know how many times I need to say it, but I have nothing against payware. I started this thread with the honest goal of getting some interesting answers. That is all. As you were. Now please forgive me for daring to ask. It entirely up to the individual if he/she wants to pay for addons etc and I have nothing against that. And for you to suggest that I might think you get payware free is just plain rude and insulting. Perhaps I should not thank those who have enabled me to modify my sims freely from now on. I will keep quiet. -
Why have some modders gone to payware?
Dogzero1 replied to Dogzero1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Yeah I might be missing out but thats life. I have enough to be doing with WOV Air & Ground Gold and Desert Storm etc etc. Great mods and will take me ages to complete. Thanks. And again, a big thank you to all those modders who give freely. -
Why have some modders gone to payware?
Dogzero1 replied to Dogzero1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
You are right in that respect I suppose. Anyway I'll be honest, I have never paid for any mod for any game and thats the way I like it. I currently like to indulge in Richard Burns Rally and I have recently downloaded a totally free uber mod for that and it's damn good. I also download many big mods for my other favourite sim, Silent Hunter 4 and boy, those modders have suppassed themselves too. Some fantastic work and totally free. I am a believer in free software addons and mods to be honest but hey ho, each to their own. But one thing is for sure, those modders who do it for the love of doing it and to give freely to the online communities, I salute you. You have nearly as much respect from me as those who serve in our Armed Forces. -

Thanks for the honest answer Sundowner. Oh and thanks from me for all your hard work too, it is greatly appreciated by us who can't do it. I do remember payware being frowned upon in the early days on many forums like Combatsim, Frugals and SimHQ etc. But if people want to try and make a buck, I'm fine with that also. I did not say I am against payware or modders asking for something in return for the hard work. I said I wouldn't purchase payware mods etc and thats because I have a family to feed and god willing, a beer on Friday night to celebrate the end of another week at work. There is a difference. I have already contributed to the scene in my own special way, I purchased all of TK's work and not downloaded it from some torrent site. Thats good enough for me. In fact I have purchased and still own just about every flight combat sim ever made on computer platforms so I think I have done my bit. -

Thanks all. -
Yes, but they also beat their women and treat them like slaves and generally live life as though they were in medieval times. Similar to the Taliban really.
-
Thats why I would love to live in the USA. I am fed up of our draconian and over bearing liberal nanny UK.

Fantastic pics. Best I have seen in ages. -
I hate the TALIBAN. They stand for everything I detest in the world today. They are cowardly terrorists and criminals and our troops will kick ass hopefully. Personaly I would rather just take off and nuke em from orbit. Its the only way to be sure. Gd bless the Allies.
