If the 104th is getting my hometown birds then what is happening to the 102nd? When I landed at Barnes this last Saturday during a Civil Air Patrol Flight we spotted an Eagle (with Sparrows and 'winders loaded) on the tarmac and it still had 102nd emblems.

I gotta agree with that. It would be cool of each unit using the JSF painted the emblem/logo on the helmet like the ROTS Clone Troops did.

Crusaders have killed me time and time again . Here is the most recent/. So there I was escorting my comrades in Tu-16s. My flight or MiG-17Fs were below and to the right. I look out to see 12 F-8Es comming in to stop us. They flew at both formations, taking out Zebra 3 and damaging a Tu-16. The Imperialists came out and I had my wing man engage with me as Zebra 4 chased after a straggler. One Crusader got behing my comrade and I got on his tail. A Crusader got on my tail as we increased altitude. Zebra 2 flew into the flight of Tu-16s. The F-8 in my sights fired, taking out Zebra 12 and a Tu-16. He banked a high right and began to climb. The F-8 behind me fired his AIM-9 and guns blasting me out of the sky. Captain Ace Pilot was wounded and hospitalized at the hands of an F-8 Crusader.

I have to agree with you completely on that. I talked to a Super Hornet pilot who used to be Tomcat Driver. He said that the plane just doesn't fell like what a plane is supposed to. The other thing is can these new planes take the punishment of combat like an Eagle or Phantom II? How hard would it be to brake a Raptor? Could it survive anything as close to what the F-15 demonstrated when it lost a wing-and that F-15D continues to defend Israel today. Can the F-35 deliver as much of a punch as a Viper with out losing its stealth to pylons? Can it live up to its predecessor, the P-38,'s glory? Despite the Su-35 and Su-30 having MFDs and FBW and all sorts of amazing modern things it does still have that style.

I think Fly By Wire will have to wait for WOI since it comes default with an F-16 and F-16s are FBW. Who knows-maybe it will come with Avionics 80s.
