  2. Not buying it for a minute. If it's the same video of Tomcats escorting Bears that I saw, than that footage was while over Iran. None of the F-14s were armed. Not even carrying fuel tanks.
  3. Anyone had any luck making a version of the Falklands terrain to serve a post June 1982 scenario? Tried my hand at it and somehow I messed up the ground textures when all I touched was the frontline, targets, and dates. I didn't touch or rename the data file so I really don't know how this happened. I'm using the Falklands terrain from the all inclusive mod as a base. I'd post screenshots of it but I'm posting from my phone because my duty place is away from internet right now. Needless to say there's a tree in the middle of Stanley's runway and HMS Invincible is sailing through ground.
  4. Been thinking about making a campaign for this war since Wrench has provided us with nation specific aircraft and an upgraded terrain. The idea of combat between Soviet built equipment appeals to me. I don't have anything done yet, but below is a checklist of stuff to do and a list of aircraft/vehicles to be included.     Awesome! Glad to hear that the Spanish hookers are giving their escorts gunships a struggle too. You probably spent more time flying in the back of one on that single air assault than I have in three years as a mechanic on them!
  6. I'm looking at a couple ground objects that have multiple guns, like the AAV with Marines and they're all hooked up to the same weapon system. Oddly though, the [Weapon System] entry on a couple ships I've looked at is empty. I'm gonna do more digging there, because maybe that's where we can find what you're looking for. I'd like to find a solution to this as well, because I agree, in 2015 it is a bit of an immersion killer. That and I want to finally try and be a little helpful in the community.

  9. That's why I'm hoping this is closer to release. As much as I'd like a new map, I'm skipping Nevada. Probably will do one of those desert seasonal texture conversions for Crimea until Hormuz is released.

  11. Apparently the cooking and toilet thing on the Fullback has been over dramatized. It's just a water heater and the "toilet" is closer to a bedpan than anything else. And that whole being able to recline the seats thing isn't true either.
  12. Can you add the gunner as a separate weapons system aligned to the same detection system as the actual gun?
  13. Since you added it as a missile, would the Max/MaxPitch or Max/MinYaw have anything to do with it? They're both under [Weapon System]
  14. Stratos, I took another look and the US Marines infantry unit calls for two Stingers. Try out a mission against those! Wrench, is it just the infantry that does that? Swear I've seen T-55s engage air and ground targets at the same time.
  15. Is that the Nellis terrain? Wow that looks good! And the UAE skin looks great too. I'm sure someone will recreate the desert skin French M2000Ds and a single 2000C have worn.

  17. I think some of the infantry units already are written up to shoot at you with small arms and MANPADs.
  18. You've put a lot more time into DCS than I have too. Hell I know I would with your set up. All I've really flown is the Frogfoot and Mi-8. I'm still at the "cruise around Crimea for fun and occasionally shoot something if I figure out how to use a weapon and most likely crash land" stage.
  19. I just don't want to run into the possibility of having a jet I payed for in my stable that I don't fly very often. But it's probably the closest to a Alpha model Viper or Bug we'll get, so most likely I'll end up buying the Mirage. It's a good kite.
