  1. I suppose I could make a campaign for the Ogaden War as well.
  2. You can also find the Su-25 in the Desert Storm and Operation Darius mods. For some reason my mind was cloudy about the IDIot team's MB-339 status. Would you mind posting a screenshot of your ErAF MB-339, JJava? Jonathan, I think I'll include the Hinds are flyable, since they did see some heavy action, or so I've read. How they do in this campaign will likely be the deciding factor on whether to include them in my Iran-Iraq campaign when I get back to working on that in 2014 or so.
  3. Site Upgrades

    Nice looking update. Thanks, Erik!
  4. No, it's there alright! http://combatace.com/topic/68224-adjusting-beginning-end-year-spread/
  5. Nice skins! Are the high vis ones celebratory or unit commanders? The Su-30MKs are already retired?
  6. North East Grand Prix

Thought I'd share some of the pictures I took at the American Le Mans Series North East Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut over the weekend. Unfortunately cars at speed, especially P1s are hard to focus on with a point and shoot, so there aren't many in race photos. Humidity, overcast, and a lack of knowing how to change setting doesn't help either... Porsche 356 in the Porsche Platz. Number 11 JDX Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Number 01 Extreme Speed Motorsports Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 being towed to the pits following an inspection by ALMS and IMSA representatives. Pure luck perhaps? I was trying to get a picture of the emergency vehicle line up when the Lime Rock Park BMW Pace Car went screaming! The car that should have won GTE-Pro at Le Mans: the number 3 Corvette Racing Corvette C.6R ZR1. At Le Mans it was the number 73 car Shiny! The JDX Racing Porsche sits in pit lane before the race, where it had to start from What's the definition of tragedy in motorsport? Making pole but having to start from pit lane because of a fuel leak! The number 55 Crown Plaza BMW M3 E92 undergoes final pre-race checks. The car that made GTE-Am pole at Le Mans! The number 44 Flying Lizards Porsche 911 GT3 RSR powers out of Turn 6. At Le mans it was number 79. This is my favorite picture from the day. I'm impressed a point and shoot could deliver a picture like this. The number 4 Corvette Racing Corvette C.6R ZR1 passing under the Hankook Tires bridge and going down the hill. The most unreliable car in the ALMS GT grid, the number 23 Alex Job Racing Lotus Evora. While it's not a podium winner, simply finishing at Lime Rock was a victory for the team. I took some videos as well but the video quality sucks. The sound however is great!
  7. Damn birds ruining my play time! Great clip there. Didn't know the Viggen could roll that quickly. And the police Volvo's aggressive u-turn
  8. Just saw these screenshots posted on the Thirdwire facebook page. Looks like an adversary skin, a VX-4 skin, and an IIAF skin. Also interesting to note: it said Skin pack 1. It also said these were WIP, so two weeks I guess.
  9. Phull Phrottle........

The Phantom's looks have sure aged well. Still looks as mean, sexy, and fast as the day it left the factory.
  10. Goodwood Festival of Speed

Nice, clear pictures of these sports sedans and luxury cars. The Panamera looks especially good. I still don't understand why people find it ugly. Edit: I believe many of the major sporty players were there, but did the hill climb yesterday.
  11. Wow Greenland really looks like my idea of heaven. All that snow... Thanks for sharing these!
  12. Agreed, and yes please post more!
  13. Catastrophic wildfire

Wow, some of the photos I took when I was in Colorado last August had that mountain in the first picture as their backdrop. Hope everyone gets through the fire safe and that rain comes soon!
  14. Had a young Sea Eagle in front of my car

I've seen Ospreys at a house my family has rented on Cape Cod, but I've never had the luck to see an Eagle (other than F-15s ) I think there's an Eagle nest around here though, there's plenty of reservoirs.
  15. Park full of (fake) colours

Kind of looks like something Van Gogh would have painted. Very impressive!
  16. Congratulations Cadetebra

    Happy Birthday!
  17. Ugly skies at Cosford Airshow 2012

You managed to turn difficult conditions into great pictures!
  18. More screenies and more skins! I'll only post the new skin's screenies.
  19. The New Thunderbirds...

Be careful what you wish for...
  20. Le Mans 2012

While I do agree that inviting amateur drivers solely for the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a downright dangerous idea, I completely disagree that GT should be changed. The problem is that the race is part of the WEC season, so the GTE-AM cars are a necessary evil. Were it not on the schedule, how many teams would actually compete there? Technically GT is one big category: GTE. It's simply broken down into Pro and Amateur, where Amateur must use last year's cars (Larbre's 50 Corvette that won this year was last year's winner driven by the factory Corvette Racing team) and can only have one professional driver: that is, driving is their career. ALMS was asked if they would drive their cars under GT3 rules recently, and they said they would, only if the teams were in favor of it. Well, all the teams have flat out refused. I also don't see the point in restarting GT1 when even the Viper can now be raced under GT2 rules (SRT will be racing a 2013 Viper in ALMS for the rest of this season). Edit: Also, the 2011 Petit Le Mans had a combined WEC and ALMS grid, and Road Atlanta is a small track. The P1s from both series had little issue with the GTE-AM and GTC cars there.
  21. Le Mans 2012

I don't think Toyota stood a chance to begin with, being completely untested. Had they made it to Spa, the problems they encountered during the night may have been avoidable. At this point I just want to see the 50 Larbre Corvette win first in GTE AM.
  22. The BUELL

That's actually where I took my Driver's Ed classes and drive time. If I were to get a bike though I would probably just drive it around the Wachusett area, but with some of the hills around here, I guess a little power couldn't hurt.
  23. The BUELL

Ok, I am completely useless when it comes to knowing anything about bikes, so if I wanted to get a motorcycle license, what would be a good first bike? The Triumph Bonneville catches my eye. This is all hypothetical, of course.
  24. The BUELL

Nice bike! (And Tacoma in the background)
