Teen Series Fighters
Viggen replied to Slartibartfast's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
The Eagle has my vote. If the incredible kill ratio isn't enough of a reason, then looks and performance are. Sure, maybe the build quality of some airframes isn't up to par and the Pratt and Whitney F100 engine has been troublesome at times, but this doesn't prevent it from being as hard as nails. When it comes to actual combat records and not just egos, training, and talk, the F-15 comes out on top in the air to air role for the Teen Series. The Strike Eagle is no slouch in air to ground either. Edit: I also have a slight bias, as the F-15 is the poster child of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, which was also the first Guard to receive F-15s. -
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1289185/Navigators-gag-amuses-plane-spotters-fighter-jet-races-Snowdonia.html Can we get a WSO or navigator to do this in SF2?

Wow that is a really pretty airplane. No Nesher Ts in the works but I think there are some Kfir TCs being developed IIRC. -
Waypoint problems with Afghanistan terrain
Viggen posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I finally got around to installing the Afghanistan terrain. Went to go fly a SEAD mission and once I reached waypoint two hit the autopilot by mistake. I noticed that suddenly the aircraft turned back towards Jalalabad Air Base. The map showed all the waypoints, as though I never took off. It's happened several times now. Here's a picture of the map. Also, when I started the mission I was in the middle of the runway and my wingman's plane was inside of mine. Happens only on this terrain. And is there a way to prevent the AI flights from smashing into the side of the mountain? Can't tell you how many Tornados I've watched smash into the mountainside. -
I thought they got a couple of trapped out F/A-18Cs? Here are the Blue's most recently retired F/A-18Bs. I would have taken a better shot but my battery died moments after!

Gepard, I'm using the terrain in WOI. I'll change the airfield type and report back -
I think the mission opened up the eyes of the average teenage player and gave them a better sense of what terrorism is and what a terrorist is. The game's intended audience was mature adults and older teenagers. You can kill hundreds of civilians and police officers in Grand Theft Auto IV but that doesn't get censored. What was the point of censoring No Russian? EDIT: For those who haven't read about the controversies of "No Russian", read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Russian#.22No_Russian.22_Mission

No wonder everyone hates my generation. The lack of common sense, let alone a brain is why. I wonder if he knows that his Range Rover is British and not American. Actually, forget the manufacturer location, who would trust him in a Range Rover or any car in the first place? If you can't see a glass door how are you supposed to see a red light in a car when you're the size of an eleven year old?

I can see a Ma Deuce on that Jeep. usafmtl, what is the Jeep replacing? You mentioned a truck of some sort?

Some of you may have already seen these pictures on facebook. From May 27 to May 31st I was in Florida with my CAP Squadron. On May 28th we visited Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. We saw the museum, Delta Launch Complex, Minuteman silos, SNARC launch area, a memorial to the Mercury Seven and a C-130 crew, and ultimately Launch Complex 34. It was a goal in my life to be able to go to LC 34 and pay my respects to the crew of Apollo I Here's a couple pictures. The rest are in my gallery. Godspeed Apollo I

Now that sure looks like a fun ride.

Challenger is inside of an empty Minuteman Silo. Atleast that's what our guide, who worked on the SNARC, said.
