  1. EA Announces Free Battlefield Game

Well, it will be free, enough for me to at least to take a look at it when it comes out.
  2. EA Announces Free Battlefield Game

Cool, I hope it will be like RTCW. Enemy Territory
  3. P-3s this time ...

True, true, just like the RAF Nimrod is based on the ill-fated de Havilland Comet, but for me P-8 based on 737-800 doesn't look as the best aircraft to fly low and slow to search for subs (I would probably go for another turboprop). But I wont argue on that, guys in the USN probably know their yob. Edit: Ops! I just read some more on P-8, and changed my mind. Its not a bad choice in conjunction whit maritime patrol UAV's since the P-8 is not just a ASW patrol aircraft but, a Multimission Maritime Aircraft (MMA).
  4. P-3s this time ...

Don't you just love commercial airliners in military service whit wing pylons
  5. Low visibility markings

French Rafale M's are the best example. The markings are not visible from more than 50 meters of distance plus they look like the plane has been in continuous service for 20 years and the markings faded away due to sun
  6. Premature mortar ouchy for Jihadi

The way that guy was sooting there was no chance he was hitting anything (except for himself), well one idiot less.
  7. Low visibility markings

So they don't stick out and make the aeroplane easier to spot.
  8. WOE Flight stick recommendation?

Personally I highly recommend Saitek ST290. After playing whit Logitech Wingman Attack 3 the ST290 came like a renaissance for my simming exspirience. whit Saitek there's no trimming (of the flight stick) needed and as for Logitech Wingman Attack 3 I had to trim almost every time I decided to play (not sure if this has changed whit the recently produced models). Cheap low-end logtech flight sticks are from what I heard from most people really nothing to look for. Plus whit the ST290 you get the hat switch which is very useful (view control, radar operations, aircraft trim and so on)
  9. Well its not like on UbiZoo whit the usual: Argh, this patch sux, the (insert favorite ww2 fighter aircraft) is now overmodeled/undermodeled , Oleg fix it... This plane is now 2 km/h too slow/fast according to my overprecise charts, Oleg fix it... The (insert some gun calibre) is now too strong/week, Oleg fix it! Oleg this, Oleg that...
  10. Well that is what I'm most afraid of. On the other hand we would get more realistic aircraft's handling.
  11. Well, Lock On has F-15, A-10, Su-27, Mig-29 (two versions) and, Su-25. Whit the expansion pack Flaming Cliffs you get the Su-25T. This sim has great graphic and is moderately complicated but has a static campaign (a number of preplanned missions). Falcon 4 AF on the other hand has only one plane F-16 (post block 30 versions I think) But its graphics are from 90's and its the most complicated simulation available for the desktop computers (It come whit the 700 page manual and engine starting procedure in full real mod takes +10 minutes) but has a number of interesting dynamic campaigns (missions are generated according to situation development on the virtual battlefield). Here some basic guidelines. I'm not gonna talk which I think is better. But if you are starting whit combat simulations Lock On may be a better choice. If you are a well trained simmer go for the ultimate challenge: Falcon 4 AF
  12. It seams so. I hope the patch and the WOI doesn't end up being so radically different that it renders flight modelling and avionics in all old user made planes opposite. And, sparkomatic sorry for the patch thread I couldn't help myself.
  13. I just had a thought about it all and numbered all the sims in the development and I have come to number of 7 (!) titles to hope for in the next year: Wings over Israel Jet thunder Knights of The Sky Storm of War: BoB Storm of War: Project Galba Fighter Ops (although I think maybe next year) and that Tom Clancy sim Feel free to name more titles if I forgot any. (sorry didn't mean to) And people say this genre is dieing
  14. Whoops, how I could forget that one, yeah I don't play chopper sims but still... So I guess this makes 8 almost certain sims next year, 9 whit Down in Flames. Well, let's at least thy to be optimistic and keep it on the list.
  15. A little request

Does anybody know a good (Spanish and/ore English language) site whit quality photographs of Falkland war. Thanks anyway.
  16. Ski or Board?

Skis all the way. Whit my stile of skiing the switch to board would result in large increase of fatalities on the slopes in Europe.
  17. I must say that at first second I was wondering what the tanker was refueling. Be advised that this picture is computer rendered (it might be from some sim game, maybe Lock On). Generally, I'm still sceptical toward these digital paint schemes, to me they look like something that works in the simulator or on computer screen but in reality they don't work because the real world has no screen resolution. LOL. Anyway I still think that one color gray paint schemes woks the best when it comes to aeroplanes.
  18. Hm... Well the first look on it reminds me on that new Iranian Shafaq fighter.
  19. This is a bit of topic but has anyone made any "digital" paint scheme (skin) for any plane. Here is couple of examples of this kind of paint schemes.
  20. Woaha, Mig 21 U. Looking good. Nice work AmokFloo.
  21. The Migs are finally getting their deserved attention.
