Being part-german I bet that there weren't any german admirals present at the time where these statements were made - I sure hope the americans would be respectful enough to only state such opinions when germans wouldn't be put down by such statements. But the stifling of such french arrogancy in that manner is indeed priceless!!!

Dang, that's a nice formation... Makes one wonder what would've happened if all those had been "Zero Killers"...

I was offered an electric when I started shaving so I used that until my beard was so strong it damaged the protective grill of the electric blades, and my godfather told me how to use a blade - and I never looked back since. Thankfully I only have to shave about once a week (no nazi policies about having a little facial hair where I work), but if I leave it untended it really grows strong - and when it does you can just about forget using electric, it would be like using a scissor to mow the lawn... I started off with Wilkinson but went over to Gilette, Mach 3... Once a week does it for me, unless I'm on a holiday with my girl, then ofc I shave like once every 2 days...

Couldn't they just make an improved version of the Ivan Rogov? AFAIK Russia doesn't have anything against improving stuff, from Flanker fighters to Kilo class submarines... surely it couldn't be that hard to take the Ivan Rogov design and improve it? Somehow I think russian ships have the sexiest designs so seeing Russia go shopping for ships is somewhat of a downer...
-
Whilst the Moskva class can be considered a cold-war thing (being a very limited dedicated anti-sub helo-carrier), I think Russia should be able to build their own ships, as they have in the past, like the Ivan Rogov class...

But, let's face the truth here. They're all just Knights Industries Two Thousand Wannabes!!! Nothing beats that original...

The oficial Coyote Fugly Car! A hood ornament would detract from the speed I guess, but definitely a homage should be paid in the paint job - or a special grill ornament!

Nice pix! Now a more curious question... Would it even be possible for naval aviators to enjoy a cruise at sea aboard an ocean liner (you know, one of those big ships with just about every amenity one could think of except a fixed-wing take-off deck), or is a carrier the only way to go?

... in the F-19, sure! And give the Great Leader a nuclear greeting of my own! Hmm, do we even have that map yet for WoE? The person below me wouldn't mind beating traffic in a monster truck every once in a while. Wait, that should rather read: crushing traffic.

Movie: Independence Day. Setting: U.S. President walks inside Area 51. So yeah, you gotta fund that which doesn't exist or isn't there somehow, right? In any case, wether F-22 or no F-22, my hope is that they just get a production line re-opened for the A-10...

http://www.reuters.com/article/homepageCri...03741._CH_.2400 I'm not saying Putin is a saint, but wasn't it proven that Sakaashvili was trying to fool the world and was ultimately unmasked as the bad guy in this situation? With Bush out of the picture and the focus in Afghanistan, I don't think anybody will mind if the Bear gets a bit overbearing with it's neighbour this time around...

Do you think UAV's should replace pilots?
TX3RN0BILL replied to scouserlad13's topic in Military and General Aviation
No but that manned plane in the 1st pic doesn't look all bad... Maybe a replacement/backup program in case F-35 is phail? Regarding the poll: Sign me up on the Anti-Skynet list! -
