I prefer aliens or robots killing us much more over any disease. At least some of us will try to and have the pleasure to shoot back and kick some, even if in the overall picture it won't matter that much... :tomato2:

You leave an engine almost starving to death, and then you wonder what happens? Keep your engines well-fed!

Whats your in-game callsign?
TX3RN0BILL replied to scouserlad13's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
The callsign is Bill... TX3RN0BILL! -
Damn... definitely the saddest part of naval aviation, the accidents... Didn't know the A-6 and EA-6 were that prone to bad take-offs... lack of power perhaps? If they had A/B'ing engines...

In Europe it's much harder for most people to own guns than in the U.S., granted... but not for all. Not really wanting to diss anything political, but just wanting to show you this piece of unbelievable democratic justice... Did you know that in Portugal the members of parliament are allowed to carry guns without having a license? Oh, and they have judicial immunity meaning they can kill anybody and not be held accountable for it. And they themselves are the only ones able to waiver their own immunity... Why this is necessary is really beyond my comprehension, yet is a fact.

The Sky Crawlers
TX3RN0BILL replied to Gr.Viper's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Don't think I'd be overstating if I'd say this is a Crimson Skies' fan's wet dream come true... almost... Anybody got any idea what those planes are? And what the single "normal" fighter is? -
My first reply isn't here anymore as well... Damn EELs...

Hackers breach JSF program...
TX3RN0BILL replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Military and General Aviation
Unfortunately even if they'd gotten everything it wouldn't serve as a nail in a coffin for the F-35... Bah, the US should ditch that plane and build more of the good old stuff (A-10's & F-16's)!!! Except for the F-35B, the Marines need such a plane! -
That reminds me of that US Senator that wanted the US to buy more A-4s instead of F-14's after watching Top Gun in which is said that they were faster and more maneuverable than the very costly Tomcats...

OMG Don't tell me that's that crazy little polish fighter thingy? Wait, it IS that crazy little polish fighter thingy!!! Schweet!!! -
Bah, you can tout London as much as you wish, but Portugal still competes with Greece each year for the title of european country with highest number of deaths on the road, and I don't know who's got the dishonor of winning more... But driving aggressively here sometimes earns you with a bit more of freedom on the road, at least according to my experience...
-
erase_tr, if you've learnt driving with manual from the beginning of your time as driver on the road, shifting gears becomes as second nature as turning the steering wheel or flooring the gas or hitting the brakes... Jedi Master: The trick is to act real nervous and dangerous, and "take the shot" as much as possible. Typhoon: Amen!
-
Man... real driving is manual, automatic is just... :crutch00: The only automatic I've ever driven was a Smart, and I found it appalling that every time it shifted it took like a second until it would accelerate... bah... nothing like being in full manual control of gear shifting... On a side note, I made my driver's license in a Suzuki Grand Vitara... amazing how it survived me going to old town with such a monster...

Right on! I bet all countries have more ammo than Somalia can dish out pirates. Why they're left alive is a mystery to me. Though the pirates have now stated that they'd kill US and french crewers in retaliation to recent use of deadly force by US and french forces against them. Means the US and France don't have any reason to holding back anymore. Go get'em, boys!

http://edition.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/africa/0...ates/index.html They're at it again, but now with an attitude, having stated that they'd kill any US and french crewers because U.S. and France recently used deadly force against Somali Pirates. I agree with Charlielima, get the Wasp there, packed with Cobras, filled with Hellfires, or even rockets, and full 20mm ammo belts (or, if we're getting even more serious, fill it with Apaches), and put them on constant patrol... let those pirates feel who they're dealing with!!!

I've had problems with PC components as well (all the way going to having the mobo fried and taking most components with it), so besides investing in a good PSU (a Chieftec 750W Truepower hog), I invested in a current stabilizer + surge protector, and I'm thinking of getting a UPS as well, just to make the electricity safe for my PC to consume it. Hardware nowadays is very sensitive regarding variations in the electricity they feed upon...

Well, after that war there was no doubt that those countries were, at least for a foreseeable time, "on the same side" as the U.S. With Iraq, you can't be so sure... but Iraq isn't the only country.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!! I must agree, it's absolutely hilarious! More than I imagined!!!

Pakistan is even more unstable and yet it has nukes (besides F-16s). I'd be more afraid about the fate of Pakistan's F-16s than iraqi F-16s. Because near Iraq there are still alot of friendly nations. But around Pakistan there's... conflict and only more potential conflict. I bet whoever is training the iraqis is making a point of them really having to buy american. Smart move by the US, cashing in those petro-dollar$. But having iraqi pilots training in the US? "And this is how we shot down the iraqi Air Force!" Talk about irony!!!
