Just discovered something, Matra 155's seem to have been relegated to UK airforce arsenal from NATO, so if you set UK armaments in your aircraft data file, you should be able to get the Matra 155 rockets as option. Still at a loss about the AGM-65D's though... -

The beauty of WOE, and I guess it's predecessors too, is that I don't even have it installed - I DO have some extras in the folders though (planes and 1 explosion FX mod). I've never used any weapons editor though because I've never installed any weaponspack or anything - just kept using the default WOE weapons (yeah, modifying some of the aircraft data files has been necessary just to make them minimally useful with WOE ingame weapons). Guess I'll try to install the game anew and then patch it up, hope that fixes the weapons part... As for the aircraft year availability, it's very strange... I have like intervals from 1980 to say 2020 but there it's locked from 1980 to 1985... only when I changed the start year to 1986 did it change the interval from 1986 to 1991... very strange indeed... hope that gets fixed when I install it... Edit: Ok, so I went and reinstalled WOE, patched it up... and the problems remain. Still no default WOE AGM-65D's and still limitations regarding years of aircraft availability. -

She, like most women, is complicated, hence not readily understandable from the get-go, but I can deduce what she wants from me, I think... The rest of the sovietski blabber though is totally alien to me -

How do adjust the light positions? Oh and is there any way to susbtitute the (for me) unintelligible sovietski blabber with something that I can actually understand? -

I've finally yielded and went on and installed the October B WOE patch - but strangely, all my WOE weapons have disappeared I think... I mean, I don't have any weapon packs at all, it's just the later versions of the default ingame missiles which are gone, like the AGM-65D, or rockets like the Matra 155... Oh, and what the heck is up with the aircraft year range? I have a much wider range in the aircraft's data file than WOE allows me to get... any ideas how to fix it? Everything else works like a million bucks... -
It's probably like comparing a Harley with a crotch rocket... the Harley is noisy but slow, so you actually have time to see it and be impressed by it... the crotch rocket, you barely see it passing with all it's speed... Yeah, I definitely prefer slow but impressive!

Hmmm, haven't gotten around yet to applying the Post October patch, I'll give it a shot though... -
I'd probably be dumping "fuel", both solid and liquid, all the way, if it were me...

Damn, not even the A-380 has engines as impressive as those of the Bear...

Although the sh1t literally hit your (then) nr.1 fan , it really is a question wether the sh1t would've hit the fan figuratively... who knows...

Would that be A.E. Nudelmann, soviet weapons specialist, co-author of several soviet aircraft guns? -

Very nice plane, is great to have it, I just have a few remarks... 1) Lights are not on the frame of the plane, they're afloat. 2) Is there any way to substitute the russian vocal chatter with something I'm familiar with? Or simple plain text warnings would suffice... Other than that - this RAWKS!!! -

False, they were all too old for my taste. There was one instructor at the MCSE course though... hawt! The person below me also thinks this thread will survive any crisis because there is no end of mankind's humour - not even post-mortem (otherwise skulls wouldn't be grinning!).

It's not a mod, it's a single plane, and for now things seem to be on hold, unfortunately. Though let's not be pessimistic... As long as there's hope... -
They are definitely 21st century helmets. They're 100% bio-degradable.

Good to hear it's still alive, Grinch! And hang in there! This thing really deserves to conquer the skies! Wish I could help but sofar even my retexturing efforts are coming out... mediocre, so far as to me not having dared to try to publish anything... I hope that it'll be useable in WoE though although you're getting SFP2... -

I crashed my MiG-31 Firefox because I ran out of fuel before I could manage to get back to base... ... ON A SCRAMBLE INTERCEPT MISSION!!! Oh, and to add insult to the injury, my base got wasted by the enemy... though at least I made sure most of them didn't live to tell the tale back at their base... most of them... -

You should've taken an extra gun on the central pylon, I've managed to go on flights and come back home with all my missiles still hanging from their racks - guns, Guns, GUNS!!! I was amazed though at the speed bleed, and, contrary to what I expected, I got into an uncontrollable spin on more than one occasion - when that should rather have been less prone to happen with FSW aircraft, right? Anyways, this beauty of a plane owns the sky for now, at least until the Berkut and the YF-19 Excalibur FSW-planes come out... -

OMGOMGOMG!!! There is a new dog-fighting king pwning the WOE skies!!! Definitely, the inverted-wing design owns the dogfighting sky... now all that's left is to match it against the Berkut and the YF-19 Excalibur to see which one's the best... But Dels, at least for now, your plane reigns supreme!!! -

TX3RN0BILL replied to GrinchWSLG's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Anything new on the YF-19? With the X-29 out and the Berkut advancing through its WIP stages, it'll be very interesting which inverted-wing fighter will be the king of the skies... My vote goes for this one, out of sheer sexyness!!! -
True - in the airforce lingo sense of the expression - though I've never left an enemy plane circling around in the air before I got my hands dirty, so to speak... A2A takes precedence over A2G! The person below me agrees with me that this may very well turn into the largest thread ever, possibly spanning all of 2009!

Makes me wonder why someone in the West would allow Pakistan to have nukes... I mean, it's a toss-up as to which country's more unstable and more viable to push a red button - Pakistan, which already has nukes, but says it has no intention of using it, but whose arsenal seems to be up for grabs to any (homegrown!!!) terrorist group, or Iran, which doesn't have nukes yet, but thru Mr Imadinnerjacket's statements leaves no doubt in anybody as to the country's possible resolution in using such an arsenal should it ever posess one...
