The chinese have sent people around an orbit of Earth, and are bent on devoting resources on flying to Mars. My bet is any next "Space Race" will be between China and the US, not Russia vs US.

Do you fly for your own nation?
TX3RN0BILL replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
StigIR, it is YOU who are IRRELEVANT. IMHO all you're doing is trying to shoot down Gepard's question, which is one of curiosity, not to raise any sort of statistic or other investigative purpouse. Why are you raising so much trouble on this thread anyways? IMHO it's YOU who's got an issue about other people voicing their choices, answering to a thread, etc. It is one thing to read the replies of others and it's something else mouthing off in such a loud voice about it. If someone chooses to be patriotic and refuses to fly certain planes, so what? As Jedi Master put it correctly, no matter what you state, you're not going to change their minds. So give it a rest, will ya, for peace's sake?? As for me, well, I occasionally fly for the portuguese Air Force, in whichever plane I choose to fly (not all have the PT decals though ) but most of the time I can't be bothered to change the nationality of the plane I'm flying. Though in Aces over Europe I flew mainly german planes, though I did try all three sides, and in Aces of the Pacific, I also flew planes of both sides - can't remember if I had a preference there. In Jane's Fighter's Anthology I flew mostly for the Portuguese Air Force, wether I was flying a Mig or an F-16, but here in WoE, as I said, I mostly fly the nationality of the plane I'm flying. -
Erm... yah... :blush2: So instead of trying to come up with a sort of interpretation of what I think it is, I think I wouldn't mind being explained... The person below me is, like this person, currently at work doing unpaid overtime...

Indian Air Force on high alert
TX3RN0BILL replied to ghostrider883's topic in Military and General Aviation
Right on, Jedi, but please, let the US Specforces do something first - remove Paki's nukes, plz... That should definitely be step nr 1. I mean, since Paki is an unstable country, that should forestall further aggression into indian territory, be it through terrorist or any other means - and I'm hoping cool heads will prevail in the Indian government should a war escalate between both countries, when Pakistand doesn't have nukes on their side anymore - since NO ONE wants radioactive clouds ANYWHERE in the Earth's atmosphere... And yes, India would have to keep it's nukes even if Pakistan doesn't have it's own, because there's a much bigger neighbour of India which could pose a much larger threat than Pakistan, and which also has nukes - China. -
Lifting body fighter
TX3RN0BILL replied to THEJETDEMON's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Whoa... that looks like a Micromachine Executor Super Star Destroyer!!! Or almost... would be a cool "what-if" fighter to have for SF/WoV/WoE... -

Whoa... *picks up jaw from floor* *jaw drops down again* The WOE Skies have just grown by another star... And DANG, she looks GOOD!!! -
True, my african incursions are limited to Morocco so far. The person below me prefers the SU-25/SU-39 over the A-10, just like me.

Su-39 ver 0.95
TX3RN0BILL replied to Erwin_Hans's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
It's a muthafriggin' BEAUTIFUL Plane!!! Sexier even than the A-10! One question I have though, I don't have any weaponspack installed yet, so I was wondering if there is any containing the Kh-25 missile and variants (NATO codename AS-10 Karen, AS-12 Kegler) and the Kh-29 (NATO codename AS-14 Kedge)... ? -
False, that just happens to scientology AGM-65's. The person below me thinks that Walter pwns Achmed because Achmed's afraid of him.

Enough with the off-topic replies on this thread already!!! "We want to get the hell over there. The quicker we clean up this Goddamned mess, the quicker we can take a little jaunt against the purple pissing Japs and clean out their nest, too. Before the Goddamned Marines get all of the credit." You're not getting it... On this forum is custom for addonmakers to answer to people asking for a release date of something not even the addonmakers know when it's ready with the saying: "It'll be ready in two weeks", when in fact it may take up way longer than that... -
Need some battletech?
TX3RN0BILL replied to Leon Kerensky's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
The game is called Armed Assault, or as it is popularly known, ArmA. Website: http://www.armedassault.com It's the sequel to Bohemia Interactive's award-winning "Operation Flashpoint", and like it's predecessor, a "sandbox game" par excellence, with lots of community-borne addons... a good resource site for those can be found here: http://www.armedassault.info Though for everything worthy knowing it's best to see the BI Forum: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikon...1/ikonboard.cgi Btw, this forum has a section dedicated to ArmA too... http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=98 -

Whoa, an Unseen? Which is it's original? You know, there's been a T-LAM in the works but since the transformation sequence is impossible, apparently it'll never see the day I'd be happy if it'd only be released in its aircraft form... Check out the thread here... http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=17717 Well, guess I can always download the VF-1S aka Phoenix Hawk LAM for ArmA... Droolicious Video here: -

False, though I wouldn't mind visiting the place on a vacation... I heard it's got nice diving spots... The person below hates having a cold less than I do. Saying false as an answer in this case IS NOT AN OPTION!!!

Nice sexxeh airplane!!! -
True! I went to the inspection and was threwn out in the end by the brigadier-general in charge of the establishment because he said I was of no use to him due to my visual deficiency - something that would have been clear to me in the beginning if the audio of the introductory video they made us watch hadn't been so crappy nobody understood a word... but hey, at least I got a dish of "rancho" (crap-quality army food) for free! ROFL! Don't think I'd have liked to serve in the portuguese army anyways... The person below me has used a tin funnel for a hat once...

I knew that. I was just posting the pessimistic meaning of the word Flop. Never forget: "To err is human - to really screw things up you need a computer!!!" Guess you didn't get the irony... Therefore: Mega-flop: a 1000-kilo mistake. Very heavy. Giga-flop: 1000 Mega-flops. Very, very, very heavy mistakes. Tera-flop: :tomato2:
-
False. The person above you though would rather have the Dambusters remake than the Halo movie. I would like to have both, please. Though tbh I've neither played Halo (well, the demo of the first PC game perhaps) nor have I ever seen the Dambusters movie... The person below me wouldn't mind doing the nuke-riding act (as in the movie "Dr. Strangelove") for real if he/she'd be immortal, just for the thrill of it.

Operation Flashpoint, Enemy Territory:Quake Wars, and Anarchy Online, are the things that currently impede me from getting more air miles on my WOE Frequent Flyer card...
-
Flop, as described by Wikipedia: Failure (fail, phail or flop) in general refers to the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective. It may be viewed as the opposite of success. Product failure ranges from failure to sell the product to fracture of the product, in the worst cases leading to personal injury, the province of forensic engineering. So, if that's just one flop, then if Kiloflop is 1000 flops, mega is 1000-kilo flops, giga is 1000 mega flops, tera is 1000 giga flops... That's a very large amount of mistakes right there!!!

TRUE! HAHA! And it feels good 'cause it's a friday! And fridays are always crazy at my office. The person below me has had some sort of motif related to aviation on his/her brithday cake once... or more than once!

Does anybody know what the exact composition is of all the task forces committed to fight these somali pirates? Would be nice to know... It'll probably be more than enough firepower combined to handle the pirate threat once the ROEs get set to "clear lane- shoot any trespassers on sight"...
