Syria, Spain, UK, Greece... But what about Israel?
TX3RN0BILL replied to misterbobleh's topic in The Pub
I bet Marx (that would be Karl, not Groucho) is rofling in his grave. All this speculation and greed is tearing mankind apart, at an accelerated rate since the term "globalization" has become a common-use word, and there's no fixing for these frail capitalistic times. Thinking of what it took to end the Great Depression (World War 2)... I shudder to think what is to come... -
Strange, over here the news was quickly replaced by news of London being on fire... I guess that's bugging you now... heard that Cameron even broke off his holidays to summon the army into action... Seems London is, quite literally, on fire...

It's a sad thing that we'll be having to rely on aliumz to "dispose of him", guess he's just too obnoxious for anything on this planet, including eels...

I'm definitely not a commie, but I think it was Karl Marx who said "Look to those who keep profiting all the way, and you'll know who's to blame." Words of wisdom IMHO...

Lack of helmet detracts from the illusion though - fail.

I must say that this person probably is to be envied. I mean, she lived her life the way she wanted it, got to stardom, kept on partying, lived fast and died young. How many people twice or more times her age can say the same of their lives? She didn't want to set an example for anyone, but in the end, as Franky might've said, she "did it her way". Heck she even wrote a song about not wanting to straighten her life out, and she took it to the letter. Is she to be mourned? Not at all. She leaves life with no regrets. Did she leave an impact on music? If anything, I think she set an example on how NOT to be a star, cause it just doesn't take only a good voice, you gotta have a star attitude, and you can't disappoint fans on stage. But she chose to do so and nobody's left to blame but herself. She was not lacking information and hints about what she was doing was wrong or could end up this way for her - she decided to blaze her own path, and like a shooting star, burned in the atmosphere before she even hit the ground. On a funny note, all those people wanting her to rest in peace - heck I bet she's partying on wherever she is now. A nice entertainer while she was able and lasted. I wonder if the music industry will do another "Amy Winehouse" or not cause her stardom was fabricated by the industry. I guess all we can do is wait and see.

And she is down for the last time...

Damn shame it is for them to end it like this... I wonder though, they'll be kept in such a condition that they could be brought back online for any emergency deployment, right? Also, a pity it had to be a night landing... a day-landing would've been more fitting IMHO... Thanks for your glamour, Space Shuttles! And a salute for those brave souls that didn't make it back! -
33rd Fighter Wing Gets First F-35
TX3RN0BILL replied to Dave's topic in Military and General Aviation
Well, in one argument on the F-15 (or conversely, the Flanker) being better than the F-35, is that the F-15 and Flanker can both outrun the F-35, when both enemies are out of ammo. Oh, and ramming tactics? F-15 and Flanker have higher survivability!! -
Hot Summer could wipe out Goth Population-experts warn

To tell the truth, you never see real Goths. Those you see are the VisiGoths. Real Goths are invisible. And I doubt they'll ever become extinct, they have been around for a long time. -

And here I thought that the americans had satellites with such good resolution that they could watch real-life pr0n from space... -
I tell ya, it doesn't surprise me in the least. When I visited LA in 2002 with my father, we, as sturdy europeans, had no qualms whatsoever to be going around on foot through LA, and I was surprised that there just weren't any people walking on the streets, everybody was driving, and everybody was staring at us from their cars as if we were aliens or something... weird...

Wasn't there but still a date I wouldn't forget because my sister almost gave more important to that event than my birthday (the only reason she sent an SMS anyways)...

Wasn't Lucas thinking of turning these into 3D or something?

Call me a latino macho for all you want (well I'm part portuguese anyways) but I think women's football is pretty funny compared to men's. As for the referees, I must say that there is no excuse to not have another referee in the TV room with access to all the cameras and playbacks and in radio communication with the main referee on the field. But no football organization seems to be willing to implement such a measure just because of the political aspect of football. So the "the spectators saw it, the television viewers saw it, only the referee apparently didn't see it" issue continues and I don't think it will ever end... hence why the team managers often say, "this is football"... yeah, kinda like a foot on the balls, for all those that like rules to be enforced like they should...

Invert Rudder Axis?
TX3RN0BILL posted a topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
Hi guys! I've just recently acquired a new HOTAS, Thrustmaster's HOTAS X, but I've noticed that the axis for the rudder is inverted, is there something I can do to correct that? Strangely it affects both the stick rudder as well as the throttle rudder control... But I don't find any option ingame to invert an axis, or have I not been looking in the right place? -
Yeah, Turturro, DuHamel and Gibson are still in it. Wouldn't mind having kept Fox but replacing LaBeuf, I just can't stand him... Can't wait to HEAR Shockwave, voiced by Welker, hopefully he'll sound like the original Megatron, that voice is still missing, and is as marking as that of Peter Cullen... Hope I'll go see it on saturday!

Invert Rudder Axis?
TX3RN0BILL replied to TX3RN0BILL's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
It's not a problem of the controller itself since both in the device properties department as well as in Wings over Europe, the rudder works the way it's supposed to... -
Happy Birthday you two!!!

I'll reply it in the inverse sense, by saying that the only type of music that I DON'T like is folclore and popular music - by which I don't mean pop music but songs the folk like when they have folk parties... those are the only genres which I just consider airwave pollution. Other than that I listen to everything from Classic to Metal and Trance, Jazz, Big-Band, Blues, Swing, Rap, Rock, and whatever else you care to add. But if I had to choose a genre which I really enjoy, strangely, it's Original Sound tracks from movies. The works of Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Zimmer, Elfman, Poledouris, but also newer guys like Brian Tyler and Trevor Rabin, to name but a few, have a special place in my heart, which is probably the reason why more than 75% of my record collection is composed of OSTs...
