New russian stealth fighter
TX3RN0BILL replied to Falcon161's topic in Military and General Aviation
Funny though how the US cancels its new weapons programs due to money when Russia seems as happy as ever with their AKs, even though they are being perfectioned and rechambered and new weapons are added to the inventory, they're not so dissatisfied with the AKs as the US are with their M-16s... On the account of the F-22, unless there will be a navalised version of it, the Navy won't help but feel castrated in having the F/A-18 instead of the F-14, I think that plane didn't get to reach it's full potential... So, just like in the movie Stealth, I think at least the USN needs the Talon... -
Talk about a quick turnaround! Didn't know that the thrust-deflecting system the Viggen has in the tail was designed so that the aircraft can go in reverse on the ground... really looks cool!

New russian stealth fighter

I think a design like the MiG-37B Ferret-E would have been a better choice, I think visual IFF will be a real problem with these things... Plus the Ferret looks better than both the MiG-1.42/1.44 and the Sukhoi PAK-FA... I sure hope the US makes the F/A-37 Talon a reality... I somehow feel that the F-14 and the F-15 are still the best things that flew from the US, the F-22 and F/A-18 have wet dreams over having the Tomcat's and Eagle's power... -
I know... I would have preferred Wheeljack to have survived instead of Jazz, a zillion times over...

I think they had to use a long-nosed cab out of necessity - a cab without a nose like G1 Optimus Prime would supposedly not have enough mass to hide all that Optimus Prime was supposed to be in his glorious robot mode... As for Jazz, I don't know, but I never liked him, not in G1, and never later even, so I can perfectly live with his short-lived goofing around in this movie... There had to be one Autobot which wouldn't survive, and Jazz fit that role perfectly I think...

F-16XL Version 2.0
TX3RN0BILL replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Wasn't there also a version of the F-16 with canards and without the vertical fin? Now that would be cool too... -
Nur 3 von meinen 4 Grosseltern waren Deutsche...

"Tomorrow War" seems to be coming to the english-speaking world, it seems to be good, check it out...

You betcha, Revvin! Good old Orion Pax... err... Optimus Prime is there!

Bin zwar nur 3/4-deutscher, aber melde mich trotzdem, aus der Ferne!

F-16XL Version 2.0
TX3RN0BILL replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
I must say... WOW!!! Nice plane! Though I wonder why it's so limited in terms of carrying A2A missiles (only 2 Sidewinders on the outer wing pylons?) - I guess that's why my first A2A kill flying this bird was - yeah, you wouldn't have guessed it - a RAMMING kill!!! Marcelo's Su-27 bought the farm whilst I kept on going, smoking though... All in all, a nice aircraft though! -
Looks like an engine failure of some sorts, resulting in an explosion... Bird ingestion perhaps? Thankfully the pilot survived... I must say, a rather interesting way to end the life of a multi-million-dollar ugly looking aircraft...

Wings over Europe 6 : Fires of Liberation
TX3RN0BILL replied to kei nagase's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
This is the best video I've seen in any Thirdwire series!!! Excellent! Wins 100 out of 10 stars!!! Is there an estimate as to when it will be finished? -
Massive Penetrator in development
TX3RN0BILL replied to Typhoid's topic in Military and General Aviation
Come to think of it, how about launching a really mean payload right down their throats? Like moskitoes, or flies... hmmm... yeah, a payload of human dung loaded with fly larvae... talk about complete disruption!!! On the other hand, they'd only have to close down the tunnels near the impact zone, and that would have been the end of it... So the best would be either FAB or nuke... Nuke would even be better because, besides burying everything, would ensure that nobody would be so eager to get back there... -

Hey does anybody know about the F-26 Project STALMA? It looks weird, isn't done yet but I think it's just cool... -
Medals Pack
TX3RN0BILL replied to Delta6Actual's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Talking about medals, is there any way to see your entire medal collection? Since you get many of them, it would be nice, in your pilot roster, to know how many you've been able to garner... Just wondered about it since I searched for it everywhere ingame and haven't found it... Would kinda be senseless just to get medals at the end of a mission and not be able to boast the entire collection later on... -
OMG! AN-12!
TX3RN0BILL replied to Sgt.KAR98's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Hmm, now there's something to add to, is there any possibility of making "free flight" missions? Like, missions where you can just take off and fly around without having someone attack you? Would be good for those transport planes etc... Sorry for adding this to the OT... -
Macross Project - Small Update sv-51
TX3RN0BILL replied to foxmonter's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Looking droolicious, Foxmonter! I hope that you're also making it transformable like the VF-1... Could you make a video and post it on youtube on either of aircrafts to see how the transformation looks like? I can't wait to see it! -
F-104 question
TX3RN0BILL replied to GASCAN39's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Thanks for the link, USAFMTL! Since the author was stated to be "BUFF", I did not know that that one was the official Thirdwire F-104G addon... Thanks again for the quick reply! -
OMG! AN-12!
TX3RN0BILL replied to Sgt.KAR98's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Could you post a direct link please? I'm somehow too blind to find it, tried search function but it hasn't shown up, and as I stated, in Pasko's site the link is broken... The AC-130A would do nicely, if I could get my hands on it! Thanks ahead! -
OMG! AN-12!
TX3RN0BILL replied to Sgt.KAR98's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Piloto, apparently it's also in WoE... Check in your Objects/Aircraft folder Or, just take a look at the Comparison Chart on Column5... http://www.column5.us/sfchart.htm I'd rather get my hands on the C-130A from SFP (and the gunship version whose link on Pasko's site isn't working anymore ) ... Many thanks ahead with regards to help concerning getting the C-130s! -
F-104 question
TX3RN0BILL replied to GASCAN39's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Talking about the F-104, I've seen in the Column5's comparison charts that there was an official F-104G addon which was made available for download, but unfortunately the link is no longer functioning, could anybody tell me where to get the Thirdwire F-104G? Since there are so many F-104's out there I'm kinda at a loss to know which one is the right one, and I'd like to have it, since WoE doesn't feature that plane, even with the latest patches etc installed... Thanks ahead for any help! -
Massive Penetrator in development
TX3RN0BILL replied to Typhoid's topic in Military and General Aviation
Agreed, a nuclear penetrator would make alot more sense than a normal one... I hope it'll end up an FAB at least... One thing that does strike me as odd though is the option to use the B-2 as launch platform, since the B-52 makes alot more sense, since the B-2's attack profile, if I'm not mistaken, is to fly low, which would deny the new MOP any benefits of kinetic energy ocurring during normal, conventional, high-altitude-release bombing, since the impact velocity (and therefore strength) of the MOP dropped from a high altitude is much superior to when it's dropped from a rather low altitude. Plus the B-52's body looks more apt to carry such a MOP than the B-2's sleek fuselage... or maybe even the B-1... just my two cents on the issue...
