I think Christian Bale is a good actor but an utter tosser. I remember him doing an interview and the fact that he is Welsh was brought up into the conversiation and he didnt like it one bit. He kept repeating that he is not Welsh but English through and through even though he was born in Haverfordwest which is a little town not far from where i live. Anyone who doesnt appreciate where they come from is an arse.

From the new DS mod..... Hornets on the prowl. -
I had purchased SFP1 and was quite happy with it as i didnt have much time to learn hardcore sims. Was thoroughly enthralled by watching other peoples combat online (youtube) and noticed that their were aircraft on it that i didnt have so i realised it must be moddable. Google search and ended up here. This is most probably the best 'virtual' decision of my life

Spot on Dave. This website has been vital to my 'upbringing' in the flight sim world and i would like to thank all those who answered any of my noobish questions along the way. Its also important to thank all the guys who contribute to the mods for the series. Thanks alot guys this place would be nothing without the people that are here -

Stiglr believes that TK is an idiot. Even though this is not the case i can guarantee one thing. He is an idiot with a lot more money than stiglr If he actually got off his backside and looked at the work involved in creating these sims then maybe he would appreciate them more. Wots the point of trying to sway peoples opinions with his own stupidly written complaints and comments that could only be, quite frankly, from a person with little or no experience PLAYING the series. My favorite aspect of these sims is that they can cater for all skill levels. I started playing around 5 years ago in SFP1 and i was playing with everything on easy which was alot more straightforward than being "thrown in the deep end" with LOMAC or F4. Now that I understand more about the various things i play the thirdwire sims on hard. This aspect of developing a players skill, i believe is the key element that is unique to these games. And also there are always great people on hand for help within the community. -

AIM9-B sidewinders were also one of the first types of these missiles so as you can imagine they are not very reliable. I find unless the enemy is flying relatively straight and level the sidewinder will almost certaintly miss. Its simply better to close for a gun kill -
Hi guys I am writing this message in a time of great sorrow... I have just returned from a strike mission in northern vietnam (in WOV OCT 08 patch) and after succesfully hitting the pt dock we were tasked with, my flight and myself managed to egress succesfully. As I was rather pushed for time I decided to skip from waypoint 6 to my approach at Udorn RTAFB . As I did this I appeared near my final and there was a big mountain in between, so I went ahead and cleared it rather effortlessly then looked on in utter disbelief as my wingman and flight 2 attempted to fly straight through. I knew that the thud is a very robust aircraft but even I expected this a bit much to ask of it. And sure enough the three aircraft simply disintegrated before my eyes. RIP Capt Blake, 1stLt Tax, 2ndLt Tibbett!!!! As an afterthought I had a look round and found the UberAI mod which im thinking about installing. I was just wondering whether it will fix this problem with the friendly AI aswell? Thanks in advance Mike

I was just about to say the same thing Those guys are talented enough to be able to make a go of it on their own surely? Hopefully its not the end of that many careers in creating flightsims. Perhaps microsoft will let them keep the game engine and let them work on it themselves?

hi guys, I have recently purchased WOV (I have been playing TW sims for around 2 years) and as i have recently graduated to using all settings on hard in WOI i thought i would try the same in WOV. I have started a campaign (Rolling Thunder) flying the f105d for 13 tfs and am currently on 21 combat missions. However after an increase in the number of SEAD missions i am being tasked i have been shot down twice. I was just wondering if there are any tips from the vets on how to tackle these tricky scenarios using the thud and the standard armaments available. (agm 45a shrike and cbu clusters + 20mm) i always find myself failing these missions after either being shot down or being shot up really badly and having to ditch or fly home. By the way id just like to add that the thud is absoloutely awesome !!!!! thanks in advance Mike

I wouldnt be to sure about that. Although im a devil through and through, Tottenham have the uncanny ability to pull off an amazing performance when you would least expect it from them. Burnley didnt deserve to lose that game though, unlucky guys! -
That is one incredible story. 7 Bombers in 1 mission. Don't think i could do that in the virtual world let alone real life. RIP

That is a very good story. Nonetheless it could have ended badly. Luckily it didnt so i guess its one of those ones we can now safely look back on and laugh. -

Therefore i was wondering if thers anything i (and other people who cannot mod) can do to help you guys? If thers anything i can do to aid the workload in any way please let me know and i will be quite happy to. Mike -

Oh man! These screenies made me wet my pants in aniticapation I really cannot wait for this mod!!!! Out of interest though the developers have said it is an all inclusive mod, so how big is the download going to be? Not that it makes any difference to me. I will be downloading it regardless. Mike -
