Interesting point FC. Im not an expert on apple products but I did have an ipod touch once. After using it for a few months a friend showed me how to jailbreak it. It opened a whole new world for me. (snes emulator was definately my favourite) However it began playing up after about 6 months and eventually stopped working. I had to restore it back to its original firmware, losing all apps and various things I had downloaded. I sold it to my brother just before xmas last year as I no longer had any use for it. What is your favourite phone to use FC? Do you use a smartphone or just a usual mobile? Mike

Im more of a blackberry fan myself. The Iphone series have never appealed to me. My BB does everything I need it to and as quickly as id like it done. Why change if it aint broke? As a side note however I was working earleier when a customer comes in the same time that england are playing germany in the world cup and is watching the game on his iphone. Pretty neat i thought... Anyone else had/having this problem
MaverickMike posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hi guys, I have a complete merged install of all the series 2 sims including the suez expansion patched up to date. I decided to uninstall SF2:Israel and the expansion pack and create a standalone install ready for the 48' mod that is being released. When the game is uninstalling its just getting stuck at the following prompt. Execute C:\Program Files (x86)\Thirdwire\Strike Fighters 2\ TwGameExplorer.exe Does this mean the install is porched anyway? I dont want to have to uninstall the entire series just to seperate the merged install. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers Mike -
Anyone else had/having this problem
MaverickMike replied to MaverickMike's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I have also just noticed that there is no option to uninstall SF2 in add/remove programs. It has SF2:Europe and Vietnam but no vanilla SF2 icon. -
hehehe thats a good one. I dont live very far from Swansea, and yes I do speak the lingo

Hi guys. After around two weeks offline im finally back (been moving house ) Just wondering if (apart from the suez add on) there has anything new been released or been happened since I have been gone. Im seeing screenshots in the screenshot section of a few new aircraft and terrain and assumed that these were from the upcoming Korea add on. Has this been released, (or are you people who are working on it just giving us teasers? ) I dont seem able to find it if it has.... I have also noticed the restructuring of the forums for the 1st and second gen TW sims. Looks good Mike Edit: Just found the terrain in question, Its stary's awesome new israel update. Brilliant!

Why not try doing a crash course? In my area (South Wales) there are a few driving schools that offer a crash course which is set over one or two weeks (depending on your abilities and availability) for a certain fee. They have even gone as far as advertising a 'guaranteed pass', dont know how this works though When I enquired (about 3 years ago) I think the cost was around £600 which I thought was pretty steep tbh. I eventually just learned over a period of about six months from first lesson to passing the test. Good luck Mike -
I was thinking recently about a 'what if' scenario and was wondering if anyone would like to express their opinion. What if US involvement in the vietnam war continued into 1978 (for whatever reason)? How much of an impact do you think the F-15A and the A-10A would have had on the war? Would the soviets have introduced their own most modern aircraft into the scenario? Could it have exploded into World War III? Just something I have been thinking about and thought it would pose an interesting discussion for those people interested in these aircraft or the vietnam war in general Mike

This is becoming a really intersting topic. I'm not much of an expert on the AA employed by the NVA and honestly didn't know that they used the SA-7. Does anyone know of any US aircraft that were brought down by the SA-7? As a side note I'm currently in the process of moving house and my internet connection will not be on until the end of the week. :( . I'm having 2 make do with the browser on my blackberry at the moment

Thanks for your input Ezlead. Its good to hear from someone who was there. As far as CAS goes, do you think the A-10 would have made an impact?

Maybe he was already a sex offender and that was the reason he had those curfews and orders in the first place?

Happy birthday. Hope you have a great day

If you ask me hanging is too good for this guy.

he must have had an itch down there

I think this topic would make an interesting scenario in the TW sims. I would really like to take the warthog down the Ho Chi Minh trail kicking commie ass. Back on topic though, I guess what it really boils down to is, does air power win wars? Mike

That was awesome . I was laughing for around 10 mins before I could write this. Fair play Widowmaker, you always bring laughter to the party

Returning home on the final mission of my pilots first campaign. 9 AA kills and 5 AG kills and a MM and MC to go with them. -
Just wondering if anyone else here is having the same, annoyingly frustrating problems that im having with this game. Typical example is the chopper support. I had just finished an operation in the Topolka dam area and called in a pick up, designating a spot roughly 300m south of the dam itself (which is roughly flat terrain with no trees). The chopper, after waiting patiently for the pick up flew straight past the pick up point. When i caught up with it it was hovering about 2m above the water in the middle of the lake. After redesignating the pick up point the chopper then flew around 500m SE and crash landed in the woods! This happened a few times throughout the game (after the 1.02 patch) for me rendering the chopper useless on missions which it would have been useful. Another thing which really bugs me is trying to talk to villagers while the stupid propoganda radio is playing. its impossible to hear what is being said as the sound of the radio blocks out the speech. These are just two examples of the bugs which ive come across so far. Don't get me wrong i think the game is visually spectacular and is a game which could be top of its class if it didnt have these niggling little issues which could have been sorted out with delaying the release date and having more testing done. Just my two pence worth Mike

Funnily enough, I had one on Saturday night. Unfortunately I was too inotxicated to remember what it tasted like.....

There is an upcoming standalone expansion called operation arrowhead which is set for release in the UK at the end of June. Looks really impressive.
