Glad you are ok. Some drivers dont seem to be as aware of bikers as they are of cars. This is especially true in the UK and the government have recently started an ad campaign on TV to push this point. The ads are particularily hard hitting which I think is a good thing. Bikes are dangerous things if not treated with respect as people say... But I feel that car drivers are sometimes to blame aswel. I have strong feelings on this point as I lost two friends in a bike accident a year ago. Anyway glad things turned out fine Mike

I like to fly in the vietnam era. This era I think has a good mix of cannon dogfights and some missile and BVR action. However I have recently purchased FE2 and am enjoying flying in WW1 aswell. I havnt got a Korea install as of yet so I havnt got any experience with this era.

I think this is the central point of this topic. If the news crew didnt want to get killed then they should have made the US forces aware that they were operating in the area before they went there.

Wouldnt it be great to just turn into a vigilante and go and take this guy down with a nice .50 round from a barrett?

I have just purchased FE2 and im looking to upgrade the stock terrains with high res tiles. I only seem to be able to find First Eagles 1 files in the download section. Do these work with FE2? Can anyone recommend any good terrain mods? Cheers Mike

Just backed up my computer now. Thers around 2Gig of important documents and work etc that I need to keep. The backup itself was over 50GB however. Yeah you guessed it, the rest was TW stuff Mike

Couple of Phantoms headed North

Just wondering if anyone is heading to RIAT this year. I had a promotional pack through the post this week detailing gifts and some of the aircraft doing displays. Im particularly looking forward to the Romanian MiG-21s that are doing a display as well as the Raptors' display. All in all should be a good show Mike

Yeah I'm really looking forward to the raptor show. Apperently its the first time in 10 years that the MiG-21 has been in a british air show so that should be good aswell. I'm going to be getting my tickets this week sometime. Not sure which day to go yet though

Maybe its a security issue. I.E. the TW games do not have rights to access the default saved games folder so its making another one? Have u tried running any of the games as administrator to see if it makes any difference? Mike

Strike fighters project 1 is the original flight sim. The second gen sims are replacing the 1st gen sims and the developer is no longer releasing any patches for the first gen. The difference between the two is that the second gen sims will work fine on vista while you may have to do some editing to get the 1st generation games working before the oct 08 patch. The second gen sims I think are designed to use DX10 and they look better in this retrospect. Mike

Just wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between the F-8E crusader and the F-8H version. Apart from the ability to use the search radar to a distance of 60NM I cant really see any difference. Mike

Thanks for your replies. Reason im asking is I have just upgraded from the F-8E to the F-8H on my campaign. As a side note I think iv fallen in love with this aircraft. Up untill now I have never wanted to fly it in the TW sims, im regretting that decision now. Its a great dogfighter.
