Help fixing a campaign after JUL update
SopmodMikeFour replied to SopmodMikeFour's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Thanks guys, Mig was right.I was able to fix it simply by deleting the renamed Strike Fighters 2 Cuba Exe and ini and moving my mod folder to desktop.Starting and creating new exe and Ini and dragging my intact mod folder back into saved games.Hope the thread might help someone with the same problem in the future. -
Help fixing a campaign after JUL update
SopmodMikeFour posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Well it just so happens that after installing the excellent campaign by Spectre8750 I hit the update button on the main menu.Game updated and restarted. Now when starting my custom Cuba EXE the game won't start.I get the initializing screen and then a CTD.Does anyone know what file that the official JULY update might of changed so I can save myself from the hassle of reinstalling the entire campaign?I noticed it did change the Options.ini so I did edit it back as per the Hydra Campaign instructions. Thanks in advance. -

I don't know what the issue is with frame rates.I have always ran the SF1 and 2 series maxed out and never had any lag issues even on a dual core before I upgraded to a quad.I don't think tree fade was needed at all and at least we should of been given a choice to select it or not in settings. -
Recommend a joystick for SF2
SopmodMikeFour replied to Bossco82's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I really don't care for the little levers on cheap joysticks that are supposed to be used as a throttle. Its also pretty worthless if you also like flying helicopters.I would not settle for anything less then at least a thrustmaster afterburner 2(now called a Thrustmaster T-Flight that has the separate throttle and is a true HOTAS) or an X-52.Both are affordable and do not require a separate set of rudder pedals. One thing I did like about the X45 and the Afterburner 2/T-flight is the rudder rocker on the throttle.Much better then a twist rudder on the joystick.I wish the X52 had this like the x45 did.Shame that Saitek did not keep this feature when they designed the X52 and X52 pro. I now have an X52 after my Afterburner 2 wore out a few years back and now it too is also wearing out so I'll probably be going with an X-52 pro next.I cannot justify spending $200 or more on a HOTAS that also requires rudder pedals.CH and Cougar have no rudder options on their HOTAS systems so that will be another $100 expense if you go that route. -

I agree. He should provide proof as to the majority using intel chips if he is going to make an unproven claim like that.I have used AMD since I got rid of a P4 years ago.I stick with Phenom. -

Very upset that they took out the ability of success if a AI team mate kills target. That's ridiculous. We need to find a way to circumvent this. Also this may patch killed every one of my saved games and it removed all the intro screens for my modded campaigns like Falklands and Taiwan, even though I have them in mod folders. :angry2:I also do not see a DLC in the menu, maybe because I am using mods?No clue. -

Where is Winston Churchill when he is needed. -
Sorry to hear about that. When more law abiding citizen are armed and citizens are given the right to carry in so-called "gun free zones",less death and other crimes occur.

Of course we want to see pics.I suspect we have a lot of gun owners here that like firearm porn. I sold my Cetme long ago due to the issues with it but here is mine before I replaced it with an STG-58.My collection has grown 5 times or so since that pick was taken. One thing you may want to hunt down for yours is the cleaning kit that went in the tube above the barrel. They can be hard to find but I always like making anything I own that's military surplus complete. The Cetme bayonet can also be tracked down for about $15 as can the bayonet lug that plugs right onto the upper tube, thats if it is legal in your state.

Edited my post because it breaks the rules.Might be a good idea to shove this in the political forum so we can sound off.

How dare the man threaten to veto a defense spending bill just to get his way. :angry2:

As much disarming has been done in the UK I am surprised guards are even armed.
