Tejas for our game?
lazboy replied to Wraith27's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
For Undercarriage details try this site that is dedicated to the Tejas: http://www.lca-tejas.org/cad%20pictures.html http://www.lca-tejas.org/artwork.html http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/IAF/Info/Air...as-Radiance.pdf It would appear that the undercarriage has undergone several evolutions during the development of the Tejas in order to lighten it, originally it was also intended to use an off the shelf undercarriage but that never came to pass so an indiginous one was developed. Tejas for our game?

This site would appear to have some of the best close up and detailed photos available of the Tejas that certainly should help with the finer points of the model; http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/media/AeroIn...und+34.jpg.html Lazboy -
Has anyone done a Buccaneer for tw sims?
lazboy replied to Hokum's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
It would be a shame if after the great work that you have done so far that this old bird were never to be completed and released into the community, I know that certainly by all us Brits she is sorely missed and would be greatly appreciated and would fill yet another of the holes that in the range of aircraft available. Thanks for your efforts so far Lazboy -

It definetely would make agreat addition to the Sim even with a stand in cockpit and it would be great to evaluate it against its peers. Lazboy -

At last a genuine Israeli fighter and not a repaint, there is going to be some happy chaps around here! -
Moscow is to give 10 MiG-29 fighter jets to Lebanon free of charge, says Russia's state news agency Interfax. The head of the Russia's defence cooperation body, Mikhail Dmitriyev, said the consignment was "a form of military and technical assistance". "We view the Lebanese army as the main guarantor of this nation's stability, therefore the armed forces of this country must be strengthened," he said. Delivery of the jets to Lebanon will also be paid for by the Russians. Mr Dmitriyev said the jets would be fully repaired and upgraded before being delivered. He added that the two countries were also discussing a possible sale of Russian armour to Beirut, reported Reuters. Hr said this was possible because of Lebanon's recent stability. Lebanon's military capability is greatly outweighed by Arab neighbour Syria, with which is has a history of sometimes strained relations, and the Jewish state Israel which lies to the south. Lebanon and Israel have never signed a peace treaty and Israeli fighter jets continually violate Lebanese airspace in what the Israeli military describes as reconnaissance missions, but which are condemned by the United Nations.

We don't have a space programme because simply we don't need one, we have all the technological benefits without the vast expense, its not as though those countries that do have a space programme are any further out into space than they were 30 years ago and when was the last time a man from any country actually set foot on another planet, for all the expenditure on space programmes we are still stuck in orbit around this particular rock, for god sake hurry up and locate a stargate! Your are more likely to get a Work permit as a Kitchen Steward, the easiest way though is to claim asylum thats how the Aussies get in...lol The UK is looking to introduce a points system such as New Zealand shortly in which case I am not even sure that I will qualify and my ancestors built Stone Henge. LOL Only the kids carry knives and your more likely to be rundown by the traffic in town than ever knifed or shot. My job involves daily contact we some of lifes more unsavoury types but I have never felt the need to even wear a stab vest and a good slap tends to put them write. Wales is full of hills and sheep shaggers its a proven fact but the scenary is nice. Sorry to say that the job you described would be a minimum wage job over hear mostly undertaken by illegals who entered the country in the back of a lorry you need to aim higher as you most probably wouldn't get a work visa for those duties. Well I am born & bred in the UK and would not want to live anywhere else but wouldn't recommend it right now if you intend to work, like the US we are entering a period of recession and a down turn in the job market and already hoards of east european migrant workers are going home as there are no longer jobs available in the construction or service industries for them and i suspect you find it difficult to get a work permit or visa as the government has just announced new quotas. I have a sister in Canada and she is always driving me crazy telling me how much cheaper it is to live there than the UK so don't expect to live cheaply we are still paying over £1 a litre for petrol, not per gallon but per litre! I would recommend that you come for a visit first and have a look around and then decide if you want to relocate and where about you what to live as the North is a lot dufferent from South. Lazboy

I doubt its got the widespread appeal to make it onto Bluray its hard enough to find on DVD but I managed to obtain a copy along with ' A Gathering of Eagles' with Rock Hudson and B-52 with Karl Malden all of which capature really well that era of strategic bombing. Lazboy -

The Bloodhound and Patriot missile systems would be particularly welcome as other than the Hawk the west is a bit light of air defences and the Bloodhound would complement well the forthcoming British Isles / North Sea map. Lazboy -
Certainly good news hang in there as it sounds as though everything is coming together for you, you and your wife certainly have our best wishes from over here in the UK. Lazboy

Modern UK terrain?
lazboy replied to mppd's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Well I have been having a delve in the download section and searching the internet and we would appear already to have most of the aircraft and countries represented for use of this forthcoming map, we have Finish & Swiss F-18's, Belguim & Dutch F-16's and plenty of Polish F-16's but I can't for the life of me find any Norwegian aircraft or skins, are there any available or could someone whip up a skin or some decals for some Norwegian F-16's? lazboy replied to WDH's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Wasn't the B1-R featured in the last episode of the recent series of Dogfights which dealt with future air combat alongside the F-22 which it was shown working in tandem with as a long rangew missile carrier? Lazboy -

I do miss the Fleet Air Arm those were the days. Skippy when the navy gets its new super carriers are the aircraft going to be flown off the deck by naval aviators or the RAF? Lazboy
