  1. Just a couple of nice photos of a PR9 that I came across that show the colour scheme and markings. Lazboy
  2. Bush Tucker Man

I think its a generational thing as I remember watching the original series here in the UK when I was in my twenties and like you thoroughly enjoyed it up to then all that had come out of Australia in the way of tv was Skippy and Rolf Harris, admidedly soon after neighbours and Flying Doctors followed! Ray Mears and Steve Irwin are only going over the same ground that the Bush Tucker Man covered yeras before and don't even get me started on Bear Grylis that wanna Be who somehow managed to simultaneously serve in the SAS and Foreign Legion. If you like Bush Tucker also check out All Aussie Adventures for a fantastic and accurate spoof. All Aussie Adventures All Aussie Adventures An Interview I am not sure that Bush Tucker Man is avaialable on dvd but try EZYDVD in Australia who post to the UK. Lazboy
  3. It was intended that production versions be fitted with an inflight refuelling probe to compensate for the somewhat limited internal fuel capacity of the TSR-2 although I don't believe that any of the prototypes that were actually build and flew where equipped with, which probably explains the lack of any photos showing it deployed. The attached cutaway shows its approximate intended position.
  4. Alright Guys who had 6 days in the sweepstake to see how long it would be before someone requested an Israeli skin? Lol Lazboy
  5. Craig do it because you enjoy it and it brings you pleasure if others benefit and also derive pleasure from what you do then thats a fortunate by product, you have every right to be proud of your accomplishments just look at how many of us downloaded the Typhoon, no mean feat in itself. Lazboy
  6. Craig I wouldn't worry models are a bit like buses they all seem to arrive at the same time and despite their developers best efforts some never actually materialise but end up still borne, if half the projects ever announced on Combatace actually materialised most of the gaps in our flightlines would already be filled...Carry on Regardless.
  7. Draw!

Except that when he pulled the trigger the barrel is still pointing at the ground, look at the smoke, fast but absolutely pointless. We were trained to hit what we shot at , BODY BODY HEAD THEN YOU KNOW THEY ARE DEAD was our mantra. Lazboy
  8. Yeah Right! Video

Surely its just the Chinese State TV version of "Dogfights" LOL Lazboy
  9. Craig before you guys get too smug have you done an Israeli skin as the inevitable request will come within days of the TSR-2 release? Lazboy
  10. In the wide world it will always be the TSR-2 no matter what arbitary name this forum decides to allocate it, lets not get sidetracked yet again with naming conventions but instread concerntrate on an eagerly awaited aircraft which shows every indication of living up to the high standard of Craigs previous creation. Lazboy
  11. No it us that are not worthy! Should you need it I have a shed load of research material on the TSR2 as well as several dvd's and videos of it in flight that I can easily make available to you, just say the word. If somebody now admits to a Buccaneer being near completion as well I will have to pinch myself to make sure that I haven't gone to heaven. Lazboy
  12. Am I right in thinking that Cabot got a new lease on life in 1967, when she became the Spanish Navy's first carrier the Dedalo which served until 1989 and as such was the first carrier to regularly deploy the Haarrier? That would make an interesting historical addition. Lazboy
  13. C-130 used as a bomber

On the official BP Petroleum website details are given of the attack by an Argentinian Hercules on the BP oil tanker the Wye. http://www.bp.com/sectiongenericarticle.do...ntentId=7037986

  15. How about Unicorn for the Israeli EF-2000 what is Unicorn in Hebrew? Lazboy
  16. What I find equally intriguing is from whom or where the russians would have obtained an intact Phantom and a Mirage in 1971 to evaluate? Lazboy
  17. How about something like the Red Flag exercises with various NATO aircraft participating against each other? Lazboy
  18. Problems logging onto simHQ?

I had the same problem earlier today although it appears fine now. Lazboy
  19. Thats just cruel getting my hopes up like that!! Lazboy
  20. I amazed that as yet no one has requested an Israeli skin for this bird it can only be a matter of time! Lazboy
  21. You really shouldn't need to ask knowing our appetite for anything new, paint it Pink or POkka Dot and someone will want it! Definetely a Yes as it will fill yet another gap in the WOI skies, just need a Mirage 2000 now. lAZBOY
  22. Israeli Air Force chief Maj.-Gen. Elazar Shkedy on Friday grounded all F-16 training flights after carcinogenic material was found in the cockpit of one of the planes. The IAF and the manufacturers were testing the origin of the material. Recently, a number of pilots complained of a bad smell coming from the cockpit and Shkedy ordered tests to be conducted by military medical authorities and aerial medical units in order to determine the origin of the odors. From the tests, it emerged that the material was a type of Formaldehyde known to be carcinogenic in high concentration. Although traces of the material were only found in one plane, the IAF chief decided to completely stop training in all the most recent models until the conclusion of the investigation. The results of the tests were transferred to the manufacturer of the plane, Lockheed Martin Corp. The company was cooperating with the IAF investigation.
  23. In doing some background reading on the Arab - Israeli air conflicts I came across the fact that in two of the conflicts Pakistani pilots flew on behalf Syrian, Jordan and Egypt. According to official Pakistani sources Lietenant Saifu Azam participated in the Arab Israeli conflict of June 1967. with the Royal Jordanian Air Force, flying Hunters, the RJAF Hunters were flown out to the Iraqi Airbase of H-3 in an attempt to put them out of range of Israeli Air Force. It was here he accomplished a unique feat, flying in a Hawker Hunter as a No.2 His formation intercepted an Israeli formation of Four Vautours and Two Mirage IIIs. One of the Mirage IIIs was flown by Capt. Gideon Dror. Dror shot down Azam's Wingman, but himself fell to Azam's Guns. Dror ejected to be taken POW. Moments later, Azam intercepted the formation of four Vantour Bombers and bought down one of them flown by Capt Golan, who ejected. Azam had earlier on 5 June 1967, with his flight of four Hawker Hunter fighter’s engaged Israeli Dassault Super Mysteres jet’s attacking RJAF Mafraq, the major Jordanian air base. Azam shot one down and sent another smoking towards Israel. During the Yom Kippur War of 1973 16 PAF pilots volunteered to leave for the Middle East in order to support Egypt and Syria but by the time they arrived Egypt had already agreed on a cease-fire. Syria remained in a state of war against Israel so the PAF pilots became instructors there and formed the A-flight of 67 Squadron at Dumayr AB. Later on PAF pilot Flt. Lt. Sattar Alvi was honoured by the Syrian government,. Does anyone happen to know whether the aircraft flown by the Pakistani pilots had any distinctive markings that would have distinguished them from the other aircraft of their host nations? Lazboy .
  24. Recently one of our members in New Zeland mentioned in a post just how steep the retail price of a copy of Wings over Europe was in his country and I pointed out just how cheap it is in the shops here in the United Kingdom as it is available over the Counter for as little as £4.95. Well I have now discovered that on Ebay UK genuine new sealed editions of Wings over Europe are available for as little as £2.95 which is less than what I pay for monthly aircraft magazines and a great deal less than it is even available for from Third Wires own site, and these are genuine boxed versions of the game rather than downloads. See the link below: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WINGS-OVER-EUROPE-PC...1QQcmdZViewItem So if you haven't as yet got a copy of WOE Now is the time to buy and even with international postage it will still probably work out cheaper than buying it elsewhere. PS. No I am not associated with the seller just like a bargain when I come acrioss one. Lazboy
  25. The strange thing is that the incident has not been reported here in the UK on either the National or regional TV or Radio news or any of the National papers and the only paper that has reportedly covered the story is a free paper handed out at Supermarkets the equivalent of your Walmart. We don't tend to worry unduly about these things as we are always digging up unexploded ordanance in our back gardens left over from some past conflict the fields around our house in Sussex are full of military remains dating as far back as the Romans!
