  1. Xmac position at that airspeed, Cla, Cl0, to name just a few. Unless you have a grasp of what you're doing, and of the complex interrelations between the various lift surfaces, I'd leave it alone.
  2. Update...just noticed the blue transtainer crane between the small container ships...nice touch
  3. We need to have someone make us 12-high stacks of generic (and multi-colored) 20 and 40 foot connexes.
  4. Nope, for the time being, only the new Thirdwire cat extractor will work, and all LOD files are now locked and inaccessible (thanks no doubt to those who ignored our warnings regarding distributing copywrited material).
  5. We were getting tired of telling you for the last three years or so, that you were mistaken (regarding non-RHM BVR). Also, series one is dead as far as the developer's concerned, SF2 is the way to go. It's gratifying to see that you've finally decided to join the dark side...and get SF2
  6. How to get by on Social Security Alone

By being forced to work for it, of course! 5K per month's rent equals minimum wage x 689 hours....wait a sec, there's just over 500 hours in an average month... I know, we'll just tack it on to their existing sentence!
  7. Install WoV first, then install WoE merged when prompted, then patch.
  8. I've been moding this series since November of 2002 (when SF:P1 was officially released), so believe may when I say that there never was a working bomb release sound.
  9. Neat Site

Ever wonder what it sounded like in real life? Depth charges exploding underwater, ship screws, torpedos, etc? Here's a neat site that you can spend hours on: http://www.hnsa.org/sound/#pampanito
  10. The various Hawk launchers in Wrench's Irq/Iran terrain don't salvo by both design, and by placement. The latter is just as important.
  11. 74 Years ago

This past Friday marked the 74th anniversary of the Hindenburg catastrophe, at Lakewood NAS, in NJ: http://www.app.com/article/20110507/NJNEWS/305070043/Deadly-Hindenburg-blaze-recalled-74-years-later-base?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Frontpage
  12. They require a separate radar to be located along with them, and are best deployed using the SF default, 6x1 "star of David" layout. I can attest to the fact the ones supplied by Wrench use the right frequencies, and have the correct missile performance parameters.
  13. Missile launch sounds, guns, explosion events, engine & afterburner sounds, flaps, landing gear, airbrakes, landing sounds, RWR tones, the IRM search & acquistion tones, etc....to name a few
  14. For adding sounds to coded events That's been broken since the initial release of SFP1, back in November of 2002. The developer (TK) stated many years ago that he never finished coding it, and did not intend to, as he had bigger fish to fry, at the time. BTW, all development work stopped on the first gen with the release of the '08 patch, and the WoI-Suez add on.
  15. That's a completely different event, and will not work unless you redesignate the drop tank a "missile" (and accept the fact that it will now no longer serve as a fuel tank).
  16. There's nothing one can do in that case (and that goes for bomb-release and counter-measures as well). All sound effects must be associated with a coded event, and there's no such event for tank-release.
  17. Once the missile leaves the rails, it will climb to altitude, and acquire the target on its own, you can then designate another target and fire another Phoenix at it. I have a video somewhere of exactly that....
  18. About 100 nautical miles.
  19. A real four-holer

Now, that's what I call a real four-holer. Four fresh holes below the water-line.
  20. Marcelo's is the Kiev, which is a VTOL-only aviation cruiser. That might be Julhelm's project 1143.7 (Orel). If that's the case, it's still a WIP.
  21. If it's of any help, in RL, that's known as a NACA duct.
  22. There should be a few Google sketchup oil platform models at Google's 3D warehouse.
  23. Twister

The tornado that hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was reportedly a mile wide (1.6 km) at its base. I believe that even a MOAB would come up quite short against something of that power. I once encountered three waterspouts (tornados on the ocean's surface) off the Florida keys. Avoiding them made for an interesting and rather creative boat-handling drill....and one that I'd rather not find myself repeating.
  24. By creating an entirely new campaign. You cannot "fly" for both sides in the same campaign.
