  1. The older models don't use normal maps (bump mapping), as bump mapping is only supported by SF2, under DX10.
  2. I have just installed the package and tried it. My average FPS is in the mid-to-high 60's range, though it dipped as low as 31 FPS when sitting on the cat in SF2NA. If this is what you're experiencing, then there is no issue at all. If you're not achieving at least similar frame rates, then you have an issue, as my specs are as follows: Pentium G3258 @ 4.0 Ghz 16 GB of DDR3-1600 RAM at XMP-1600 timings GTX 750ti @ default clock speed Windows 7-64 Home Premium As you can see, it is a rather modest system.
  3. Then I suggest that you read about and apply the following tweak (if you haven't already done so): http://combatace.com/topic/84199-frame-rate-tweak-for-nvidia-users/
  4. What are your system specs? I'm particularly concerned wit your graphics adapter. For example, if you are using an onboard Intel graphics adapter, that would explain your low frame rates when using the aforementioned model.
  5. Those are the LERX vortices. They are most likely using the default F-16 effects.
  6. Wingmen disappearing after landing is hard-coded into the game engine, and is unfortunately not something that a player can modify by adjusting a value or adding a statement.
  7. I do not know of any AGP motherboards that were released after late 2006 or early 2007. Given that, it is safe to assume that if the OP has an open graphics slot on his motherboard, it would very likely be a PCI-E slot. The Radeon R7-240 is also a good choice, as its performance is comparable to the GTX 650ti.
  8. Which ones? The wingtip, or the LERX vortices? If the former, no really, if the latter, then you must write an entirely new INI and create a new material and possibly a new material entry. BTW, the existing LERX vortices are correct for that bird, so you must be asking if you can add wing vortices that span outward from the wingroots. Those you will probably have to create yourself.
  9. Green cockpit, or green illumination? It should be illuminated in red, as any other color kills night vision, especially those closer to the blue end of the spectrum. In the cockpit.ini file, find the [CockpitSeat001] header, and scroll down until you reach this statement: "NightLightColor=" Try changing the value to "0.9,0.0,0.0" which will give you a soft red glow.
  10. "LightSourceRange=" is the statement that controls how far the area of illumination extends out from the effect. All distances (values) are in meters. I normally use 3.0, which gives me an illumination circle that is just short of 10 feet in diameter. The pertinent statement is located in whichever afterburner effect INI file is assigned to that model, and, if it's a third-party effect, it will reside in the effects folder.
  11. The minimum spec card I recommend for this series, is this GTX650ti 1GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127793&cm_re=gtx650-_-14-127-793-_-Product Last July, I picked up a GTX750ti 2GB for under $120 US (after rebates). I am shocked to see that same card now selling for $200 on most of the popular online discount outlets. Almost 5 years ago (in July of 2009), I tested a 512 MB GTX8600 against a 1 GB GTS250, and can tell you that the GTX8600 was absolutely trampled by the GTS 250 in synthetic benchmarks, and in average frame rates while playing SF2. If you have the patience to search through our archives, you can probably dig up that thread.
  12. 2015...

And a Happy New Year to you and your family, Muesli.
  13. Are the slats extended when the aircraft is on the ground? Are they extended when in level flight at cruise speed? Or are they extended when maneuvering during high AoA flight, or when experiencing mid to high G loads, like the Super Bug in the image below? (Notice that the trailing edge flaps are also deployed)
  14. Did you add the tanks to the weapons folder? They cannot be loaded, if they're not there.
  15. RIP Joe Cocker

I'm surprised that none mentioned Joe Cocker's passing on the 22nd of this month. He was one of the greats. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/23/arts/music/joe-cocker-is-dead-at-70.html?_r=0
  16. Some very good news

Falcon, keep the faith, bud. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
  17. Merry X-Mas

    A Merry Christmas to all!
  18. Oh, man -- talk about bad luck!

He was driving a car with Summer-only tires. That's not too smart, considering that the road was wet from melting snow, and there may also have been black ice present.
  19. Embedding Videos

If you mean an already hosted video, such as on Youtube, you can do so by adding the following inside of brackets, before the video's url: media And after the url: /media For the uninitiated, brackets are [ ]
  20. Now Dave.....

Did you have anything to do with this? North Korea Loses Internet Access: http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/north-korea-seeing-loss-of-internet-access-researcher-says/ar-BBh737M?ocid=ansbloom11
  21. Now Dave.....

Question: Why do birds fly upside-down when they're over North Korea? Answer: Because there's nothing worth shitting on
