  1. dfang, thanks for emailing me your modified data.ini. the problem was not in the landing gear section, it was a thrust angle value that was off in the original data.ini, something that I would not have noticed unless I'd seen it in your data.ini. The next problem to lick is the 'pit and a few flight dynamics issues. The stock FM has waaaay too much lift, which is a pity, as the drag values are just about spot on for a B-52. I'll release an updated Beta soon, with a few changes and add-ons BTW, here's wpnssgt's pit for his G model. A little bit of work and we'll have a '52 with a dedicated cockpit!
  2. I sent you those files on your Gmail account, Spectre...
  3. Hmmmm, it still behaves the same on my system, at least in "normal" flight mode. I appreciate your efforts, though....
  4. UPDATE: I've just heard from Pasko, he's working on an updated ground objects pack that should be ready soon....
  5. The Higbee Incident

    Version

    846 downloads

A mission for Wings over Vietnam that simulates the VPAF's attack on the destroyer USS Higbee in April of 1972. Comes complete with a new data.ini for WoV's destroyer model that features radar-directed multipurpose guns, and sound effects. NOTE: Requires a flyable MiG-17F
  6. MK2, much as I'd like to, I cannot upload it without Pasko's permission. Sharing it with one fellow board member is one thing, but making accessible to everyone is not cool without the author's permission. Tell you what, I'll email Pasko and get his permission, I'm sure he'll say "Go Ahead"
  7. You mean like Chaparrals, and Hawks? Thanks to Pasko (who is a gentleman and a scholar, I feel compelled to add) I already have those :) Want'em?
  8. Scout_51, I neglected to add (in my first post), that I've added both the Grail and the Goa to WoV, from the latest weapons pack. Good catch on the Grail, they were used successfully by the NVA later in the war.
  9. B-52 Strike, Wings Over Vietnam

I agree. It's in desperate need of a nice 60's-era SAC grey and white hi-res skin. It could also use some wing pylons, as well. In the meantime, I'm trying to get some red decals together so I can put numbers on the SEA-skinned Ds. Some had nose and tail numbers, others just tail numbers
  10. B-52 Strike, Wings Over Vietnam

One less MiG to worry about, as we ride off into the sunset...
  11. B-52 Strike, Wings Over Vietnam

And just when we thought we were going to get away, unmolested.... Persistant little bugger.... Trading blows...looks like the MiG lost some sheet metal....
  12. B-52 Strike, Wings Over Vietnam

Performing final corrections... Bombs Away! Looks like they're going to be doing some heavy-duty runway patching!
  13. Flyable Buff

Here's a flyable, reskinned version of the Buff over the "AmericanNW" terrain set. The smoke trail in the second image is what's left of a MiG-23 that got a bit careless...not a good idea, given the quad 50s that make for a quite nasty "sting"! I'll make the package available (for those with WoV), if there's enough interest.
  14. Dave, I'd like to borrow some your SAC tga files. Afterall, it wouldn't do to have Buffs running around in the buff This thing looks, well, it looks positively nekid without the proper decals.
  15. F-111 "Dump n' Burn" First, download the attached file, "Fueldumpeffect.ini", and place it in your WoV or SFP1 Effects folder. Then, open up your F-111's data files (F-111A_data.ini) and add the following under the "[Fuselage]" header, maintaining the existing system sequence number. The "XXX" is just a place holder for the three digit sequence number. SystemName[XXX]=FuelDump Then, open up your gundata.ini file, usually located in the WoV/SFP1 Objects folder, by simply double clicking on it (it'll open up in notepad). Scroll to the bottom of the list, and copy and paste the following data, keeping in mind that you must again maintain the numbering sequence: [GunDataXXX] TypeName=F111_FD FullName=F-111 Fuel Dump Valve Caliber=100.000000 ROF=300.000000 MuzzleVel=300.000000 AmmoWt=0.000100 WarheadWt=0.000100 Reliability=100.000000 Accuracy=100.000000 AddLight=TRUE MaxLightRange=10000.000000 FireColor=0.500000,0.450000,0.320000 GunFireEffect=FuelDumpEffect GunFireSound=jetburner EffectClassName= EffectTime=0.500000 TracerTexture= TracerSize=0.900000 TracerDistFactor=0.002000 TracerLength=0.015000 MaxVisibleDist=4000.000000 MaxStreakVisibleDist=1000.000000 TimeFuzed=FALSE Close the gundata.ini files, accept the changes, then reopen it using the Gun Editor (available on this site). Simply hit save to validate the changes that you've added when you edited the gundata.ini, and to create a new (updated) gundata.dat Your F-111 of choice will now dump n' burn whenever you hit the primary gun trigger.
  16. On the contrary, Deuces, thanks for picking up on that. Between the re-constructive surgery I've had on my right shoulder, the meds, the failing eyesite, and then returning to work after only 10 weeks of so-called recuperation & therapy....well, you get the picture.
  17. Working on some REALLY BLACK projects. Just consider my system's hard drive, "Groom Lake East"
  18. BombCat, All the models I use are already in the Bunyap's weapons pack. Just make sure that you don't lose any weapons that you've modded when you upgrade, which you may find yourself doing on a regular basis.... :)
  19. The only A-6A pit I'm aware of, is the one that came with the A-6A in WoV. You'll either have to wait until someone produces a third-party version, or buy a copy of WoV and install that pit into SFP1.
  20. New to SF

Step One, download and install the F-14A, the Vark uses some of the sounds it installs, and besides, it's a killer add-on :) Step Two, install the latest weapons pack. It's available on this site's downloads section. Step three, get yourself a copy of the SFP1 extraction utility.
  21. It's a question of weight ratios. A five ounce bird cannot carry a one pound coconut!
  22. OK, Here's what I did: [WeaponDataXXX] TypeName=RDS-5 FullName=RDS-5 80KT Nuclear Bomb ModelName=RDS-4 Mass=1000.000000 Diameter=0.580000 Length=3.000000 AttachmentType=SOVIET NationName=SOVIET StartYear=0 EndYear=0 Availability=0 BaseQuantity=1 Exported=FALSE ExportStartYear=0 ExportAvailability=0 WeaponDataType=0 RailLaunched=FALSE Retarded=FALSE Streamlined=FALSE FinStabilized=TRUE SpinStabilized=FALSE EffectClassName=NukeExplosionEffect DragAreaMultiplier=1.000000 WarheadType=11 Explosives=89999998976.000000 FusingDistance=500.000000 ClusterBomblets=1 ClusterDispersion=0.000000 GuidanceType=0 Accuracy=0.000000 MaxTurnRate=0.000000 MaxLaunchG=0.000000 LaunchReliability=0.000000 ArmingTime=0.000000 SeekerFOV=0.000000 SeekerTrackRate=0.000000 SeekerRange=0.000000 ReleaseAnimationID=-1 The end result? Out she goes... Down, down, down..... And, we have nuclear detonation!
  23. Tristan, First, welcome aboard. Second, go here:SFP1/WoV Downloads Index. There, you'll find just about everything you could ask for, sorted by catagory.
  24. He also needs a 3D-model, and defining the wep's end-of-service date would help, as well. The FAB-1000 model would probably be the closest match, size and shape-wise.
