jeanba replied to jeanba's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Hello I confirm we need to take a weight of 7500 kg 7000 kg is the empty weight, but this is not the data we have to input : We must use the operating empty weight, adding some load such as pilot weight, equipments ... => 7500 kg I will check for fuel tank -

Wikipedia did not prove a very reliable source for the Jaguar A, we found a lot of mistakes and must systematically recheck with other sources. But still, you make avalid point which is worth rechecking. -

Those were updated and designed as part of the nuclear deterrent force and as such were granted special attention. Additionnally, when Dassault bought Breguet, the Jaguar was not his main priority and the Mirage F1 or 'Super) Etendard were much favoured -

Engine replacement have been planned since the begining, but never done. For takeoff and climb, afterbruners were almost mandatory, which is reflected in the FM. On the other hand, the plane had a (relativly) good autonomy. It was said that Jaguar could only takeoff because the earth was round. That the landing gear had to be retracted to avoid collision with the airport fence. ... As to equipement, it was said during desert storm that the Jaguar was not even at the standard of general aviations small ^plane like Cessna ... GPS were added almost "by hand", some jokes saying that they were bought in a discount saudian electronic store. -

In data.ini : Add limits for pylons / loadouts : For instance, if pylon is loaded, max gs are 5.5 (instead of 9) More AI-flight data according to weapon : Example : profile adapted to Guided bombs, high drag bombs ... The simpler would be to associate in the data.ini a profile with a loadout. example : [AIdata_AS30L] AIloadout = AS30L ... AI will use more or less efficiently ECM according to experience Induced drag coefficient is a function of Mach and use proper values -
