  11. As far as I have seen, the Tornado was not in service, whether in RAF, Luftwaffe or AMI in 1980 ? It was only operationnal in 1982 ? Is this right ?

Starting in 1979, around 15 Alphajet were operationnal in Germany as part of an evaluation and conversion unit based in Leipheim, tactical training started in May 1980, so it can be assumed that a small number would be available in late 1980. Same for the Tornado But you are right, I will shift to 1982.
