  1. Remembrance Day

    S!
  2. The G looks like a Mirage F1 with a miniature Flogger wing (and no dogtooth), and the 4000 is the ultimate Dassault design, the 2000's big brother. Too bad these were both too expensive for the French defense budget, 'cause they sure are cool.
  3. A Bridge too far- Ambush scene

Gotta love the CAS Hawks/Thunderbolts/Texans... such an epic scene !
  4. Happy Birthday Gunny!

    Happy Birthday!
  5. Happy Birthday Mannie!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY
  6. My first ever (decent) carrier landing! almost a ramp strike... but still!
  7. I opened a new book that I just bought ("Fighter: Technology, Facts, History" from Parragon publishing- good pics, especially cockpit shots, but some noticeable editing errors), and flipped through. When I hit pages 270-271, however, I almost fell off my seat. there, gracing the pages, were two pictures of an SU-27 in a black/grey/white camo scheme against a perfect blue sky that I have never seen the likes of before. I instantly scoured the web for more pictures of this plane, and (thanks to wikipedia) discovered that this one-off paintjob is on a Sukhoi Su-27SK, #305, probably a factory exhibition plane. I managed to find a couple good pics, one that makes a damn nice desktop. This is honestly the nicest looking airplane I have ever seen, even beating the Spitfire and the Tomcat.
  8. The nicest looking airplane ever

gotta love the rainbow. Fastest piston-powered plane ever, and perfectly streamlined.
  9. How to beat the cars in Traffic...

I want that bike. The next time an SUV cuts me off, I'll just strafe it. Problem solved!
  10. Best website ever

HOLY CR@P YOU CAN CLICK A WHOLE BUNCH AT ONCE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE AN EXPLOSION IN A RECORD STORE! that was awesome.
  11. In hospital at the mo

get well soon! we can't stand it when we have a man down. We'll make a doggy bag of new DLs for when you get home.
  12. DONT LIKE THE PLANE YOU ARE RIDING IN?

HOLY MACKEREL! How long 'till this shows up in a Michael Bay movie?
  13. Shooting at Ft Hood Texas

    <S>
  14. Bad weather and Armed recon- winning combination!
  15. Lucky guy..

  16. Good Bear! Eat more!

Nah, it was just a couple SF guys in a bear suit. They got bored with just shooting.
  17. Makes sense. After all, it does breathe through intakes on it's back. On another note, CBU FTW! got 6 trucks there, turned on to a second pass and discovered a Fresco on my six and my wingman had RTB'd! Still got one more with rockets before turning and burning home, though...
  18. Beautiful! Gotta love the days when war wasn't needed for advances in aircraft design.
  19. Passenger accidently ejects from plane

coulda been worse... at least he didn't grab the joystick! I went for a flight in an O-2 recently (an L-19 for us canucks), and the first thing the pilot said was "Don't touch anything. Can you handle aerobatics?"
  20. Another CAS with the Hun... My second CAS victory, but the story doesn't end there... His wingman hit me a couple times head-on after that first kill, then came back to finish the job. I told my wingie to go home, I had a fuel leak and definetly coudn't make it. To cover his retreat, I took on the second MiG. After an epic dogfight, we ended up in a head-to-head joust.... With my one remaining operational gun, I managed to down him, and he only paralyzed my plane. I got out to sea before I had to eject., but he ended up as a smoking crater.
  21. Taking out tanks... one by one. Still in love. I also got a MiG-17 this mission, I'll bet he was overcome with grief at being downed by a CBU and fuel-tank laden Hun!
  22. Ah, young grasshopper has much to learn... One must occasionally sacrifice kill footage for a better picture. I decided to get the T-55 that was still operational in the pic, rather then the one I had hit, which is slightly off-screen left... ... jus' sayin'...
