Flight Control Data Question
warthog64 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I have some WWII aircraft in my installation of WOE and just today decided to adjust the speed of a few of them. The P-40 was basically impossible to climb in so I adjusted both the cruising and climb speed, however it only seems to have affected the other P-40's in my flight. For example when flying say a fighter sweep, if I start in the air the other three or four aircraft in my formation will go speeding out ahead of me, while my performance hasn't changed at all. Is there a certain way to change flight control that allows me to to improve "my airplane" that I am unaware of? Thanks -
What a great game GO SAINTS! What an awsome intercept and return that was!

Well that's good news

I saw it on the news last night, I believe it said it was a cirrus and an unpowered glider or glider tow that colided. It was terrifying footage they showed on TV. I don't think there were any survivors, very sad. Here's a link in English of the story http://www.denverpost.com/newsheadlines/ci_14350792

I was just wondering what are the proper folders that need to be created in the User/SavedGames/Thirdwire/SF2 folder. My computer recently failed and I re installed SF2 only to forget what is needed for a proper setup. I know it needs a Flight, Effects folder etc. But what others are required for all the other files extracted from the .cat folders. Thanks

SF2 Folders?
warthog64 replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Thanks Alot, just wondering though is a flight folder needed? I just ask because there are some mods available that require a flight folder. -

B-52H LOD Where?
warthog64 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Does anyone know where to find the lod file for the B-52H in the B-52 upgrade pack 3.0? In the cold war/bombers downloads section for series 1 games the stand alone B-52H download by Wpnssgt uses the G lod and I'm not sure where to find the original H lod that the upgrade pack requires. I have tried using the B-52H_Late lod but this did not work. If anyone knows where to find this I'd appreciate it. Thanks Everyone -
B-52H LOD Where?

Oh no, the B-52H's in your package are perfect! I had just originally thought the one in the Upgrade pack 3.0 was different and wanted to try it as well. Thanks Again -

B-52H LOD Where?
warthog64 replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Well it's the B-52 upgrade pack version 3.0 by gbreuder. In this package it contains a B-52D,F,G,and H. All of them have lods except for the H and in the B-52H.ini it says the Lod file for this particular aircraft is the B-52H.LOD. I'm not sure which aircraft to get this from as the B-52H variants in the Mega Pack (thanks by the way!) use the B-52H_Early/Late.Lod files and these wont work with gbreuder's H model. The H Buffs in the Mega Pack are great, but I was just wanting to try gbreuder's model as well. Thats all Thanks for your help -
B-52H LOD Where?
warthog64 replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Which new ones? I've only seen the upgrade pack 3.0 and the other packs, but none have a lod file with the B-52H. If there is a new B-52H somewhere though I'd definitely use it. -
Flak Burst Effects
warthog64 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I just added the more powerful flak bursts by Canadair to WOE, It's a very impressive mod. However all the flak bursts now are just a white puffs and I'm not sure why. In the readme for the mod it doesn't say anything regarding this, so I'm guessing it's my mistake. But does anyone know why/how this could happen, and how to fix it. Thanks -

Today when I opened my install of WOE I noticed the tailcodes on all versions of USAF F-4s were offset....... I'm not sure why, I havn't added any skins or ini mods. Anyone know how to correctly re position the tail codes? Thanks

What was that site with the pit?
warthog64 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Before USAFMTL released the excellent line of F-111 variants, I remeber there was an older download for an F-111 under the Add on aircraft/cold war aircraft/usaf aircraft folder. I remeber that in the read me for this aircraft there was a website that you had to go to in order to download a cocpit for the aircraft. My question is what was that website called? I'm curious in downloading the cockpit to try with the B-1B, but since the old F-111 is no longer available, and I have since deleted it from my WOE install I don't know where else to find the answer. Thanks Alot to anyone who can help! -

Extending usable years for SF2
warthog64 replied to warthog64's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Well I tried that but unfortunately it didn't work for Vietnam or Israel. I purchased the Sf2 combo pack and it includes all four terrains. The Desert and Germany Terrain allow me to fly up until 2015, but for some reason Vietnam or Israel wont adjust to the changes. If anyone knows anything I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks -
